However, Nengi is not all that, she might have been unique if she was natural, and her talking like her jaw is wired shut really bothers me, she needs to sue the dentist that handled her veneering procedure! Nollywood is winning in terms of quantity but the quality is lacking. I can't remember the last time I watched a Nigerian show or movie.

On the other hand SA has some really quality productions and that's why your actors are bagging all this awards. The only problem is that your productions appeal to a demographic that's already taken up by Hollywood while Nollywood appeals to the lower class which makes up significant share of the market

When it comes to industry, I don't think u have a bubbling movie industry yet cos out of most of the roughly 250 movies released per year, only less than 50 originates from SA while some are co-produced with other nations.

Blood and water was great from production, cast, storyline, its true South African story yet the international market related to it too. It was a marvel to watch.
