The TRUTH about the Potemkin city of empty mansions and open defecation.
Compare the so called Potemkin village with ur crappy Mombasa. Maybe what is stopping Mombasa from looking advanced is the lack of Potemkin vibes which has been replaced with slums. Go figure.
Kuruptnigga: You have exposed their second best city. Mombasa is totally crap!!!!
I have screenshot from that video that I would have posted but I can’t because the file size is too much. Mombasa is hideous. There is no better way of saying that.
Shma2020: Mr dimwit! You're spewing too much gibberish. As I told you earlier, someone will find it too hard to skim through your verbose to trace the main point. Stop arguing like a KG kid and man up.
Back to the point notwithstanding. I marked key words that I'm going to respond. 1. If the beach connects your capital city, then maintainability should be normalized. Once you leave it in tatterdemalion state, then definitely your city will look shaggy and uncouth.
2. Mombasa has the best sections that you need to catch in Telemundo program to relate. Talk of industrial cities, big sea Ports I mean, the home of two grand Ports in africa outside Egypt, Morocco & SA. International hotels, nice roads, nice buildings, nice rail station and lines.. Name them.
3. There is no 'land scaping' in sea. maybe you missed out the point. I meant to say regions within the sea section.
4. Refer the infrastructure on the pics below.
Ignoring ur wall of ignorant text- would have love to pick out ur stupidity word for word but then again we might be distracted from the real subject of discussion.
So tell me where is all this infrastructure u listed in this video.Mombasa looks like a mess- the business district appears to be a crappy open air market with broken down roads and hideous worn out buildings. Literally everything in Mombasa has lost vigor and hope. If this is the chaos u compare with Abuja then u must be vigorously mad.

NTSA: So you went on a drive through nyali using a 3 minutes video ? That is Nyali shopping center and no where near Nyali estate. Its like going to Karen shopping center and claiming to have gone to Karen neighborhood.
No matter how I try to spilt hairs Mombasa is crappy and nyali isn’t different.
Another video of nyali. What went wrong this time.
rvp2018: Mombasa old town is 10th century old - older than anything in Nigeria or entire West Africa. That drawing of Mombasa old town in 1572.
Nobody ask u for a drawing. Ur Mombasa is not older than anything in Maghreb nation. That i is a not an excuse. Nothing stops u from either pulling up those bricks shack down or maintain it- nothing stopped u from building roads- nothing stop u from preventing the entire city from going to rot.
That’s basically how the entire Mombasa looks like- this is just a bitter fact.
Shma2020: I bet comprehension is what is doing you. I didn't say water is infrastructure. How you manage your infrastructure from water to land is what makes it. How you manage nature and sea - 'landscaping' is what I'm talking about. Mama ngina road is a well planned clean road and that's what makes a city. Even fine beaches makes a nice city, it only trickles down to maintainability. Not all nation can maintain such beaches.
When u maintain ur beach it looks nice not the city. U maintain ur beach by controlling plastics disposable along the coast and pollution.those are the kind of thing u do to maintain ur beach. When it come to city,u roll ur sleeves up and get to work. Build road, lay out proper urban planning, take sewer, drainage, building, beautification into consideration. It’s tedious work and it’s requires patience to achieve-not a days jobs. Consistency and quality is the key not beach maintenance.

U should dedicate ur time into showing me what ur city looks like not water. This is nyali ur Mombasa best neighborhood for rich folks. Just look how underwhelming and ghetto-like it looks

I feel like laying my hands on ur face. Always empty. Firstly what do u mean by sea-landscaping? Smh!!!. Secondly are u posting the infrastructure u use in maintaining the so called sea-landscaping cos all I see is pool by the Oceanside. Mama ngina road is like a private road within a confined space. It’s like showing me the roads in Kenyatta university or showing me a trail of road in a big public primary school . Get the difference and stop being a fraud- this deception don’t work on me.
obaaderemi: How can I be angry when Kenya GDP was $80bn? I actually laughed. I am still laughing if you have to rebase your economy to achieve $120b . Everyone knows Kenya GDP is inflated when your economy keeps growing with job losses and rising unemployment.
You've been basing your happiness on projections for years here- Kenya will overtake Morocco, Kenya will overtake Algeria, Kenya's banks will overtake Nigerian banks, etc. None of that has happened up to now and will never happen in your lifetime. Kenya is broke, my boy.
Lol 5 years down the line and the idiot has been living in imaginary projections. Yet nothing has happened.
Shma2020: City ranges from waterbodies to land. Nature is also part of city.
Lemme give you a glimpse of what I'm talking about.
Nobody wants to see ur water body or a trail of road in mama ngina park. Water is water, water is not infrastructure- get the difference- infrastructure makes a settlement and settlement makes a city not water.water makes a settlement for fishes- leave diani beach to the fishes to post whenever they engage in their own argument.let’s say Zanzibar water settlement vs diani water settlement
Shma2020: He didn't fail. Its only that you failed to decipher and move on.
What will be the essence of me posting nice pictures of one place and you counter it with hedious pics from totally different place?
Go back a few pages.we have rvp the opportunity to post Mombasa and after scan the inter with little success he came up with Mombasa. He was told to post city not water bodies.
rvp2018: First with your level of education or lack of it - you'd not understand. The lady says the houses in Maitima and big houses are mostly empty. This Sani Abacha Potemkin village - that created at huge expense - a city for civil servants - that has failed to become a dynamic city - everyone else in Abuja has to do with slums.
Liar she never said that. Dynamic Mombasa looks like this
rvp2018: Listen to 24min of that video - and kikuyu1 has been telling you the same - Abuja is simply a Potemkin village - a failed city of civil servants.
" The big houses are mostly empty" - and everyone else lives in many slums of Abuja.
rvp2018: Listen to 24min of that video - and kikuyu1 has been telling you the same - Abuja is simply a Potemkin village - a failed city of civil servants.
Listened didn’t hear shiit about any Potemkin rantings
Shma2020: Of all the nice pics in Mombasa you only saw this? what about I post that integrated slum city in your CBD and boldly caption it as the best place in Lagos? Will that be enough as a returned favor?
That’s how Mombasa looks .no deception here. I posted videos of Mombasa last week and we discovered that Mombasa shares a striking semblance with Delhi,Chennai,Pakistan,Dhaka and the like of south Asian scum.
rvp2018: So we should have different standards for slum. Makoko because it float on water - is what kind of slum. SLUM is SLUM. Mpape is a slum. It has 1M people according to the blogger. Kibera has 170K people. Kibera is just 5km square...that about 1250 acres. I bet that Mbape slum is bigger.
Good u said that. So u have no reputable backings on ur claims. Kenya and slum are two words that resonates together-wonder no more why kibera abd likes represent our continent on the global stage.
And yes there is degree in slum.for instance mpape is better than Mombasa cbd slum
rvp2018: What is your argument. That Mpape is not a slum? or that Abuja has no Slum? You nigerians are just some of the most crazy people I know. Is a popular slum? Of course NOT. Makoko, Kibera and few others are popular slums. But Mpape is a slum nonetheless.
No U are the crazy one. Firstly Yes Abuja has no slum. Mpape of course is a walk in the park compare to any slum in Kenya falls under FCT not Abuja city. Get the difference.
Secondly comparing mpape abd kibera is madness. Kibera is the largest slum coming of Africa.not to forget the worst settlement to happen to man kind. Can set foot in that muddy village with no toilet. Mpape is built with blocks abd bricks abd has multiple room. Room furnished with toilet and bathroom. No road yes, crappy roofing yes. No comparison here
