rvp2018: I have put many links showing you that 5,000 acres initial bought has been extended with 3 counties that lies adjustment each creating 10KM buffer and donating it to Konza to avoid mushrooming of slum like infrastructure.
So this going to be a massive city. That a proper city.
You are making noise. Just post the desolate tea farm and let’s confirm with our eyes. This things are naked eye test.
rvp2018: LOL - I knew it was just glass facade - Total investment in Waterfall is mere 2.4B rand (0.17B dollar). This the annual budget that is spend on Konza.
Comparing two glass facades with shopping center - with KONZA TEHNOPOLIS - that is approaching maybe 1B dollars investment by gov alone.
Including pre-development capital expenditure, inventory, assets and the value of the Sanlam joint-venture in Waterfall Junction, the city’s total development value is sitting at R2.4 billion, up slightly from R2.3 billion at June 2019.
This year alone - Konza will spend that much 2.4B rand to continue with horizontal infrastructure. Ksh.16B Konza City budget: Konza City allocated Ksh. 16B in 2020/22 financial budget. Konza's allocation is 77% that of the ICT ministry.Jun 11, 2021
Cost of building! Cost of building!! Cost of building!!!
As for konza that a dead hope except you are deceiving urself.
rvp2018: I bet Konza city total investment in horizontal infrastructure dwarf that 300 acre city - that more like Two Rivers. Konza investment so far is more than 0.5B dollars.
Keep betting.everything in Kenya in overhyped, overpriced and over inflated.
Cost of building in SA is obviously more cheaper than anything in underwhelming kenya.
rvp2018: You are ranting like a real lunatic - what has 10, 5g got to do with anything. Each of the city have a character. Some are targetting shopping commercial experience like Two Rivers. Some have industrial compoment at it core like Tatu and Northland. Some have vacation and holiday home like Vipingo. Some are tech or smart cities like Konza city.
Two river is a shopping mall with a single hotel . Tati is targeting lego boxes kinda house. Konza is a dead hope. Northland is a dreaming that died in Kenyans imagination. No thanks to uhurus
rvp2018: At least Kenya is trying to match up with South Africa - all you're doing is trying to kiss their. arse online and shake their companies offline for rand - which they don't have.
What u have doesn’t in anyway match their.get off ur high horse already
rvp2018: Actually Waterfall is like Tatu city - it nothing compared to Konza city. You do not have anything like that planned - because your country is visionless - and the economy will be stuck in middle class rut forever.
Tati and vipingo nonsense is an estate- waterfall is a commercial mixed used development for thriving business environment (a live, work and play environment).get off ur high horse
rvp2018: You're still not happy - - We are talking Tech - but now you're all over the map.
But do u agree that Ghana is beating kenya in automotive industry. Kia,Toyota,Hyundai all left blossoming, steadfast, progressing Kenya for Ghana. Do u see where this is going.
rvp2018: South Africa is or was advanced Africa country - but it has stagnated - so much now companies - of all sort - are now choosing Nairobi - which is more central - as their Africa HQ.
It that simple. South Africa doesn't have the geography to be Africa HQ - flying from Capetown to Nigeria or Morroco is hard.
Therefore get used to Nairobi be Africa HQ - for many reasons - including very high HCI, good air connections, bla bla bla
What he is trying to say is that they knew all the advantage u highlighted above but this choose SA regardless. $300m investment by Amazon is freaking much. That’s is probably how much u need to get that fallow, desolate tea farm off the ground.
obaaderemi: Real companies are shunning Kenya. This konza shiit is dead on arrival. Facebook opened its first office for Africa in Jo'burg and the second is coming up in Lagos. Ghana has Twitter Africa headquarters. Don't you see the handwriting on the wall? Tanzania and Uganda will soon displace Kenya even in East Africa.
Obviously he is so daft to see things clearly. He is stacked up on his high horse with glorious imaginations.

Yeah we’ve seen this noise before but nothing to show for it. Checking out progress on Konya is like finding a needle out of a haystack.
obaaderemi: Your recruits(army) earn about $71 while in Nigeria they earn about $120. Your budget is even as small as it is gets stolen every year. Look at Nairobi for example and see the slums getting bigger. You are a small country and yet poorly run. Look at the levels of starvation in Northern Kenya, do I need to post the pictures again? Why are Kenyans braving the uncertainty and abuse in the gulf so as to escape from your hell hole? There is no hope in Kenya. So, you would rather tax poor Kenyans to death all because you want to give them electricity and water? The same electricity you produce nothing with. Nigeria's. even With all the mismanagement still has a higher manufacturing index than Kenya.
It's just stupid if because you want to keep up with the Joneses, you tax your people madly and borrow from China against your future. You can't pay China back because you make little money. Kenya's future is indeed bleak. This is the last flickering flash before the darkness for you. Unlike Nigeria, look at the Projects we have in the pipeline, ...Lekki Port about to be completed,.. The Dangote Refinery about to be completed,.. our railway projects, then our agricultural potentials and blossoming ICT sector, not to mention huge reserves of gas..it's endless. It's senseless to tax your people dry and borrow against your children's future from China to fund a budget that your politicians keep stealing. Kenya is the real hell.
Sadly this is the reality of things in Kenya. Expect more verbal ranting from the resident bonobo.
Saddamochieng00: Huh! And who cares what you have to say. Interestingly enough I don't know of any megaprojects In your country and I couldn't care less.
There are so many.open ur mind to fact and not sentiments. Thanks in advance
rvp2018: Why not complete Eko city before starting many new ones. Konza city once horizontal infrastructure is done - about 50 percent now - will fly. The reason is simple - Gov is giving out the Land for FREE - as long as you're tech or research company. So imagine for investors - getting free land with all utilities sorted. Obviously nobody sane will go to Eko CIty and buy land for 10M dollars..when there is free land in Konza City. Land connected to electricity that will never go down, with best fiber connections, water, sewers, storm drains, name it.
See the kind of massive work being undertaken by Italians to get world class infrastructure. Once horizontal infrastructure is complete - the plots will be issued for free- and 2-3 yrs - the city will be beehive of activies.
