Nairobi horizontal infrastructure is slowly bridging the gap for jorburg. This is what NMS has done so far on Nairobi streets - they have recarpeted dilapidated roads, fix pedestrian lanes, fix cyclists lanes, order for repainting on old buildings, revive dead projects, modernize the city, ban matatu in CBD etc. Works are still still going on on modernization and streets upgrading.

The Dongo Kundu by-pass, Mombasa northern by-bass, the dualing of main road from TZ to Malindi, and the Changamwe - the mainland to Island - all these roads are going to transform Mombasa roadwise
