Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by VMpi744: 8:17am On May 25, 2023
Have you considered getting a rail card?

Depend13:
PLEASE I need advice not insult. Thank you in ADVANCE. I've been in the UK with this care visa work for seven months without my sponsor agency giving me work. Now I've been able to get work at a very far place outside London which I go to by entering train 5am while returning by 9 to 10pm. I cannot relocate to the place because I'm currently been accommodated by someone. Going to work is almost costing an arm and leg as I've not been paid till month end. Someone told me to be buying under age ticket rather than normal one. My main question is not the fine as life is risk BUT if caught, CAN IT AFFECT ILR IN 5 YEARS TIME?
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by VMpi744: 3:48pm On May 18, 2023
Unrelated. But curious, was the refusal sent via email before you went to pick up your passport?

Milito:

Thanks. No reference was made to the joint savings account you referred to. The priority is because of an event to attend during the vacation. And there is time constraint.

So does priority applications give rise to a greater suspicion?

As I asked earlier, I'll appreciate if you can share your opinion if for a fully sponsored trip, it is compulsory to drop a personal statement of account?

As per attachment, the ECO made an error. It was not a self funded trip. It was stated on the segment for it on the application form, the reason why the sponsor is sponsoring was also stated in its space, the amount also and all, equally repeated at the extra remarks section on the form. Including on the employer letter and personal letter. Yet... undecided undecided Lol

The ECO also made another error of referring to UK family as sponsor, which was never communicated nor inferred, and even contradicting his/herself as regards the earlier 'self sponsor' assertion. The only transaction above salary was just a 600k transaction in Oct. The fund was fully drawn down same day and the account does not even have much closing cash as at March where the statement stopped. That's why I said the boosting of account remark is a copy and paste.

Thanks anyways. I guess I'll be spending the intended fund in another country. This UK people wahala too much.
Education / Re: FG Committee Recommends ₦ 2 Millions Monthly Pay For Professors by VMpi744: 7:09am On Jul 15, 2022
Lol. Valuation Mathematics yin o pe sir.

First off I am not sure why you are doing the whole oil revenue calc.

But let us go with that. You fail to multiply the volume with the price of oil tho.

Or is oil now $1 per barrel?

1.2mbpd @ $100pb = $120m
That is the figure you should be converting to naira.
Not 1.2m itself

tony0806:
2,000,000 monthly grin

As at 2019, Nigeria had about 11,877 professors (though this include both those on private and public higher institutions).

That means; monthly, the government will pay 2,000,000 x 11,877 = 23,754,000,000. That's over twenty three billion naira monthly.

As at today, Nigeria produces about 1.2m BPD of crude oil (Our main source of income, excluding mineral resources from the north which I don't know why they don't mention it. Only God knows where that money is going to). Using the official exchange rate of about 414 naira, that's a total income of 1,200,000 x 414 = 496,800,000.

THEN; 496,800,000 x 30 days = 14,904,000,000. This is approximately Fifteen billion naira FROM CRUDE OIL MONTHLY (Nigeria's income from crude oil).

Summarily, the nations income (from crude oil) AS AT TODAY CAN'T settle ASUU's demand. This draft proposal is just for academic staff salaries oooo. We've not mentioned other items.

SSANU, Non academic staff, etc have not been mentioned oooo.
Other government establishment have not been mentioned oooo.

Anyway, the government has enough money. Else, where are they getting money to pay NPOWER between 12 to 15 billion monthly? What of the one they said they share to the poorest people in Nigeria monthly, etc.

I'll come back to modify my comment later

Or is the OP married?

You didn't seem to mention that bit.

Cos I see no reason why a single folk would be scared of having a relationship with another adult.

Forget the babe and your uncle for a minute.

Do your job - send her the sack letter.

If she decides to go public with your tiny little secret... so be it. Own up and admit you were in a "relationship" (not a fling ffs). If your uncle/boss fires you. Take your L and enter market. Go shop for a new job. Might be better for your career and mental health in the long run.

Except you two did some really dirty shit you don't want out there. But still... wetin person never hear for this world. Whatever rubbish you think you don't want your uncle to hear. Na them go still settle am. Who knows maybe your uncle and his wife already knows sef. Probably why they decided to sack her this time. Just saying.

They can't revoke his citizenship since he never commited any crime on UK soil.... If it had been in the UK he did all his nonsense with ESN, then his citizenship might get revoked after jailing him
