I am still of the opinion that this is not a publicity stunt, it just a way of preaching the true message of love for God and of humanity take it or leave it.

It's been publicized so that persons like you can see and do the same.

As I was stepping out of my office gate yesterday morning, on my way for an appointment, I saw this woman and her 3 kids, standing at the grocery kiosk directly in front of our office.
“Please help me, we need some money to eat”, she cried. But curiously, none of the people standing in front of the kiosk paid her any attention.

As I observed closely, she was accompanied by 2 of her kids- a young girl of about 12yrs old, a little boy of about 6 yrs old and the 3rd baby was strapped to her back. They looked weary, perhaps they must have trekked a long distance begging everybody along their way to help them survive the day.

Immediately I saw them, a deep compassion overwhelmed me; I had to beckon on them to come over to my side.
“Why are you begging for money with these kids” I queried.
“Sir, I lost my husband last year, 2017. Since then, life has been difficult for me and my kids, nobody wants to help us. We were driven by hunger into the street to beg for money…….” She explained.
“But why don’t you start a petty business to take care of your family, instead of begging…” I enquired further.
“Sir, if I have some money, I can sell food- rice and beans, I don’t even like begging. It is just that we don’t have anyone to help us” she said.
“So you mean if we give you some money, you would start the business and stop begging”
“Yes sir”
“Okay. Tomorrow, this my brother( pointing to our team member, Mr. Peter), would come to know your place, talk to your neighbors, to know if we assist you, you would truly use the money to start a business and stop begging. Now take some money for transport and come back here tomorrow morning to take him to your place…..”

After giving her the money she left with her children.

We had concluded that she was one of those ‘Lagos fake beggars’ (they are very many, anyway). But surprisingly, she showed up in our office this morning, contrary to our expectation, to take our team member to her house.

Our team member,  Mr. Peter followed her to her house in Orile-Agege, Lagos, where she lives with her 3 kids. Her name is Mrs. Christian Akinbode. She is 30yrs old. Her late husband worked with Lagos State Ministry of Education before his death. According to her, Up till now, the government had not paid them any benefit to support the poor family. From the information, Mr. Peter gathered from her neighbors, life has really been difficult for the poor family. And they attested to the fact that the widow is hard working and that she would do the business if helped. They were also full of praises for our organization for reaching out to support the hapless family.

And so this Saturday, the Voice of Divine Truth Int’l Outreach will be visiting Mrs. Akinbode, to present a grant of N20,000 to her to enable her start the food business she proposed. That will be the beginning of a dramatic turnaround for the poor family, as we are determined to lift them out of poverty. Hopefully, we would also like to support the education of the kids within the limits of our resources.

The bottom-line of this story;
Beloved, let us be sensitive to the numerous needy people we come across everyday on the street. God is interested in their welfare. Reaching out in love and showing them a little kindness could be our reasonable service to God. James1:27…

The international coordinator of Voice of Divine Truth Int’ l Outreach, Mr. Azemobor Gregory, was recognized recently for his selfless service to humanity by Ruby Land Academy, a private educational institution, in the FESTAC area of Lagos. Presenting, the award , the proprietor of the school, Mr. Donald Akhimien said the need for society to celebrate true role models, especially individuals who are involved in charitable causes, motivated the school to recognize Azemobor and his team for their invaluable impact on the lives of vulnerable kids and the less privilege in Nigeria.

Speaking further, Mr. Akhimien lamented the dearth of true role models for the younger generation, whose ideals are anchored on patriotism and selfless service to humanity; ” As an exceptional educational institution, our vision goes beyond preparing the students for just academic exploits, to raising a new generation of future leaders with the moral disposition for community service” Mr. Akhimien remarked.

Receiving the award on behalf of Voice of Divine Truth Int’l Outreach, the international coordinator of the organization, Mr.Azemobor Gregory, thanked the school for the rare honour bestowed on them. “We are deeply grateful to God and to Rubyland Academy for this honour and recognition. This is a big encouragement for us, knowing that somebody somewhere is watching the little efforts we make to make life meaningful for the less privilege amongst us. “For the benefit of the parents present here today, who may not have heard about us, our organization is on a mission to create a world where nobody lives in lack. Our vision is to build a Charity City that will be a place of refuge for the poor in Nigeria. The activities of the Charity City are intended to inspire religious organizations and the governments all over the world to promote the cause of love and our shared humanity” Azemobor added.

The event which had in attendance, the graduating students, their parents and loved ones, was full of exciting activities for the kids. As the kids watched the proceedings of the award ceremony, it was obvious that their innocent minds were inspired for a greater future of selfless service to humanity.

A foremost faith-based humanitarian organization in Nigeria, Voice of Divine Truth International Outreach is set to lift 1000 widows out of poverty between May to December 2018, by supporting each widow with FREE twenty thousand naira (N20, 000) to help aide their petty businesses.

According to the international coordinator/convener of the group Apostle Gregory Azemobor, the initiative became imperative against the backdrop that Nigeria has earned the infamous status of being the country with the highest number of persons living in poverty all over the world as declared by the world financial body – World Bank. The report says about 86 million Nigerians are extremely poor-they live below the poverty line. This is an obvious humanitarian crisis that requires an urgent attention from all and sundry

"It has become crystal clear that all hands need to be on deck to alleviate the sufferings of the poorest of the poor, hence, the initiative" Azemobor said.

Speaking furthermore, he said that the organization has budgeted twenty million naira (N20, 000,000) for the pilot phase of the project to support widows living within Lagos and Ogun State axis. The idea is that, if a widow is been supported in boosting her petty business, automatically the widow and her children will be elevated out of poverty.

Azemobor also said the initiative is in line with the vision and mission of the organization which is to propagate love amongst humanity. "As an organization we don't have all the resources to care for all those who are in need, but we sincerely hope that, what we do will inspire the Government of Nigeria (both State and Federal inclusive), cooperate organizations, companies and religious bodies to place priority on the welfare and well-being of the less privileged in our society, When we care for the poor through a robust social welfare scheme as practice in saner climes, the rate will abate"

"To that effect we are using this medium to appeal to individuals, churches, cooperate organizations, companies, industries and government to please reach out to all those living in poverty around them, especially hapless widows. And as you do so, be rest assured of your blessings in heaven".

"We also want to encourage corporate organizations, with special interest in women empowerment and poverty alleviation to partner with us to enable us lifts as many widows as possible out of poverty".

The empowerment project is in ongoing as many widows and their families have already benefited from the largesse. The group targets to empower one thousand (1000) widows before December, 2018.

Also note that, the Voice of Divine Truth Int’l Outreach also envisioned building a charity city that would have a kitchen to attend to the needs of two hundred thousand underprivileged people every day by feeding them, the Voice of Divine Truth Int’l Outreach also aspires to build free one hundred thousand housing unit for the poor, free university, primary and secondary schools for indigent kids and youth, a massive warehouse that will provide free food and clothing items for the needy on a daily basis, a state of the art hospital that will provide free medical services for the poor, a rehabilitation center that will provide free rehabilitation, training and skills empowerment for drug addicts, ex-convicts, prostitutes, street kids and many more, an empowerment training center for widows, poor families and unemployed youth.

Doing good deeds makes a person great not only because you done something good but because we rise by lifting others. A Nigerian widow who was homeless now has a roof over her head because of the good done by others. The woman and her three children had been homeless and struggling to survive until help came. The 35-year-old woman received help from an humanitarian organisation known as the Voice of Divine Truth International Outreach, that focuses on helping others by promoting love.

In the photos shared on the organisation's Instagram page @voiceofdivinetruth, the woman was seen smiling as she received help. She was also given money for upkeep of herself and her three children. She was spotted with her three children in her new home. They all posed for the camera with big smiles on their faces.
