SLAVE OF THY MASTER - Vowels

Slaving in the absence of freedom.
Deprived of that gift of choice.
They acted on us with force.
We succumbed to the force with our heads bowing.
They felt rich and powerful over our poverty and hunger.
We felt nothing as we counted the strokes.
Reading each stroke line on our back.
We wait in patience the day we will die.
For we lost the freedom to do so.

Beautified with chains of our feet.
And dust from the fields.
Our blood watered their source of income.
Transported from to places in horrible conditions.
We tried to take our weakened minds away from revenge.
Greed beclouded their conscience.
Unlike Jesus, we bled saltwater and blood.
Saltwater from our eyes mixes with sweat.
They flowed like rain in pain and dried like a shallow stream.

Human cruelty to human.
Civilization blinded in education creates the gap.
Intoxicated with power and weapons.
They created a gap between humanity.
Skin color made me lose my brother.
My brother made me lose my freedom.
We lost the brotherhood.
And only cared for our livelihood.
Slaving everyday in our daily lives.
