I feel same way as you and I engaged one of them sometimes back and his revelation shocked me, that most of them are victims of sharia law! Cutting of hands and legs mostly. I now wonder why they cut those body parts and push them away to the south.? I believe some persons here can give us more clue on real reasons why the northern govt cannot take care of their casualties leaving them as liability on the south.

We all agree that while there are beggars from every tribe, the Hausa's are leading with a great margin.. but that's not my worry now.. my concern is that about 70% of them are disabled.. some with unbelievable deformities.

a large number of them are crippled in the legs or have deformed hands..

how?

is it a genetic thing for them? were they born that way? or they became crippled after birth? what could be the cause? I can't stop wondering..

every morning on the way to work I can hardly ignore the number of crippled Hausa beggars along the busstop.

what spurred this post was what I saw last Friday on the road beside the Ikeja city mall. I saw two young kids (boys). I swear they can't be more than 5years of age. one was crippled and sat on a kind of small flat wood with tiny tyres beneath as a means of moving about. the other was not crippled but then his right fingers were missing (from the wrist) with no visible wound or even an healed one.

they were looking totally content with begging, no parent or anybody I could see around them. below 5years! left alone to fend for themselves!!

just how do they get these deformities? why just the Hausa folks alone? how? why?

The level of hate on this forum is reaching unbelievable levels fast. Is there a different breed of Igbos on this forum? I'm asking this because my best friends are Igbos but they've never spewed hate about any tribe and they don't blame others for their failures.
I am still trying to figure out specifically what serious crime the Yorubas committed against the Igbos that warrants so much hate. Are the Yorubas stopping the Igbos from taking up the Biafra case to the UN? Are the Yorubas preventing the agitators from lobbying super powers to help them with their case at the UN? Are the Yorubas preventing the recall of Igbo leaders from abuja? Are the Yorubas preventing Igbo reps from tabling the case on the floors of the upper and lower chambers?
What is wrong with IPOB agitators? Or do you want the Yorubas to take up your case to the UN? You are still harboring hate because the Yorubas picked a side in a war that happened 50years ago. You are still blaming Awolowo because he suggested a war strategy the led to the end of the war. What do you think happens during wars? Handshakes? You might call it genocide, but in wars you must be prepared for any eventualities.
IPOB agitators must stop being stupid, stop being hateful and start being smart. Igbos are one of the most intelligent tribes in Nigeria. I am saying this from my experience. Though I love Nigeria, I'll have to admit that it is not working. And many people share this sentiment. IPOB agitators should use this to their advantage. You'll not gain anything from insulting people that can help your cause. What are you trying to achieve by insulting others? That will only alienate you from others.
Finally, stop blaming people for your problems. You know what to do to get your own country. Like my dad always says, failures always blame others for failing. This is the time to become reasonable. Nobody will hand you anything on a platter. You have to fight for it. Make alliances, build bridges. Take your case before the UN, on the floors of the Senate and HOR. If they don't work, call back every single Igbo back to the SE. And let them reject every single federal appointment and see if Nigeria will not listen to you. Time to stop the hate mongering.

There is one widow in AJ City that needs help urgently.
I don't know how to put it but its so deep.
She refuse to remarry according to what I gathered, in order to face her children education but along the line she had an accident a while ago, that put limit to what she can do as a woman to support the children. At my capacity, I do give what I have sometimes couple with my change of enviroment all that. but i still keep in touch but now, that cannot or is nothing now compare to what the mama needs.
Now she is very sick . I just need any info on a good foundation that assist in taking care of this woman. The children are helpless now. Just the info on how to get a good foundation that can assist this widow. Pls house don't hold back any good info. We don't want her to die now. She's an Igbo woman. Pls all good hearted Igbo's, Yoruba's, And Hausa irrespective of the tribe, pls give us useful info so that tomorrow, I will go and move her out of the house for her to get medical attention.
