GIST FROM WAKABOBO.COM Nigerian ace blogger Linda Ikeji has responded to Gbenga Oluwaponi claims that she doesn’t own a house in Banana Island in a post on Instagram. She also used the medium to debunk rumours that she is not pregnant but wearing a prosthetic baby bump as an unnamed woman had said. Read full text below: “Here’s the next thing I want to address. Most of the people who know me will tell you that I have a heart of gold and maybe that’s why God never stops blessing me. This woman (you know who…lol) has been trolling me for years and calling me all sorts of unprintable names which I have never responded to. But when she cried out for help last year, despite the abuses I’ve gotten from her, I sent money to her account. I harbor no hate for anyone, no matter what. And I swear I would have sent more money to her if people around me hadn’t stopped me. I just felt pity for her that she was languishing in prison and no one to help her. And not only did I send money (which I did privately and she made public), I called a few people I know to see what they could do to help bring her out of prison. No matter what, she is a woman, and I am all about women supporting women. “She wrote that I am wearing a prosthetic baby bump…lol. Like I could get away with that in Nigeria? And some folks actually believe it…lol. If I couldn’t have a child, I would proudly adopt. Proudly. I love children so much. But fortunately, God blessed me with a womb to carry my own child. “I was just hiding the baby bump until I got to my second trimester before letting you amazing people know. I could have continued hiding it to be honest but I just couldn’t keep calm…lol. I’ve had the easiest pregnancy with no swelling and no issues and I thank God. “Lastly, here’s something I want to say to everyone. I remember when I bought my house in Banana Island in 2015, many didn’t believe it. In fact one tweet said ‘If you believe that Linda Ikeji owns a home in Banana Island, I seriously doubt your higher institution certificate’. That’s how much they doubted God’s blessings…lol” Culled from>>>>>https://wakabobo.com/linda-ikeji-slams-gbenga-oluwaponi-and-others-who-doubt-her-success/ cc; Lalasticlala

GIST FROM WAKABOBO.COM Few Hours today, wakabobo.com reported that Nigeria’s foremost blogger, Linda Ikeji is pregnant and the expectant mother who confirmed the report, also disclosed that she is expecting a baby boy. Penning down a post to confirm the report, Linda Ikeji said the year started with her finding out that she is pregnant. According to her, after she missed her period and did a home pregnancy test, she was driven for another lab test by a friend to confirm the pregnancy. She further added that even though everyone thinks DJ Khaled is obsessed with his son, Asahd, they will however get to know the definition of the word when hers arrive. Linda Ikeji also said that she has already ordered a Bentley Mulsanne, as she expects her baby. Her post reads; Did you guys read the title of this post? Should I write it again? Oh God, I can’t breath…lol. So let me say that again…I, Linda Ikeji, is going to be a mum. Somebody please pinch me! Gosh, I can’t get over it. 2018 started with me finding out I was pregnant. When I missed my period and my friend and I did a home pregnancy test and it read positive, my friend began to cry with happiness but I was just there staring at the stick like, you’re not messing with me, are you? This is real and not a joke on me, right? I refused to believe it and asked my friend to drive me to a lab for another test. And there it was confirmed, I was pregnant. Me, Linda, I am going to have my own child. Please don’t wake me up from this lovely dream..lol So many women have had children, so what’s the big deal, huh? Lol. Well, you see me, I’m somewhat of a different case. There’s something about me that I have never talked about publicly before and that’s the fact that I love children so much (I took that from my dad), and I am particularly obsessed with babies, and I mean that literally. Their pureness, innocence, little beautiful faces, tiny hands and soft cheeks make me just want to be around them. I grew up in a compound with a lot of neighbours and believe it or not, as a teenager/young woman, I was the unofficial resident babysitter. I swear, ask my siblings. I literally carried all the new born babies born in that compound at a period of time until they grew up to a certain age. Their mums used to come drop the babies at our house whenever they were tired or wanted to go out, this was, of course, to the annoyance of my family…lol. The first baby I carried was a boy named Makoba (wonder where he is now, this was about 20 years ago, he will be a big boy now). From the first day I carried him, I didn’t want to let him go…so every time I had free time, and his mum hadn’t brought him to me, I would walk two floors up, knock on his family’s door and ask them if they wanted me to take the child off them for a while. I was always happy when they said yes. After him other mums started dropping their kids with me. Back then my sisters and I used to take turns to cook every day of the week. So whenever it was my turn to cook and I was babysitting and they insisted I go cook, I’d tell my sisters to either hold the baby for me so I could go cook or they go cook. They always chose the latter. Lol. Then my siblings started having children and I started to feel more joy. These were no longer neighbours’ or friends’ children, these were my nephews and nieces. My family! And carrying them brought me even more joy. Like for example, whenever I see my sister Laura’s son, Ryan, I shriek with happiness. He’s the love of my life…lol. If I was planning to go out and I heard my beautiful nephews and niece were coming over to the house, most times, I change plans and just stay home with them. I’m a homebody, I like to stay home (that’s why I bought a big house…lol). So now imagine that in a few months, I will look down at a baby, and it won’t be a neighbor’s child, a friend’s child, a sister’s child, but my own child, my own flesh and blood, carried in my womb. My own son. It’s surreal. I can’t get over it. You guys think DJ Khaled is obsessed with his son, Asahd? Wait until this one gets here. He’s not even here yet and I already ordered a Bentley Mulsanne for us. I swear! Lol. Like, I can’t keep calm. Oh and please, nannies, stay away from me. I’ve got this covered! Thank you. Lol. Sometimes when I’m lying down and I feel him moving around inside me (he’s so hyper already, constantly moving around…lol), I just get up and cradle my tummy and smile. Lol. I can’t wait for these months to go by so I can meet him. My own son! Dear son, of every dream I have had, every achievement, every milestone, out of all my accomplishments and titles, all the money and worldly possession I have, nothing compares to you. You are my greatest blessing, my gift from heaven, my greatest dream realized. I love you more than life itself and I can’t wait to meet you and give you so many kisses. And of course, spoil you! You will hear ‘I love you’ loud and clear so many times, you will beg me to stop. I can’t wait to hold you in my arms. . I know I’m going to be the best mum ever! I was born for this and I am finally ready! And now I want to do more, achieve more, so lil man will be proud of his mama. Considering how much I love children, sometimes I wonder why I didn’t have them earlier. But like my dad said, miracles like this finally happen when God is ready to share you. Anyway, as you all know, I’ve always shared every milestone, every good thing that’s happened to me over the years with you guys and I definitely wanted to also share this joy with you. I’ve been wanting to scream about this since I found out many months ago but my family and friends have been telling me to ‘calm down Linda, calm down’…lol. I’m now way into my second trimester, so I guess it’s okay to share my joy. May God grant you what you desire the most and may all your dreams come true. Oh, by the way, I’ll be having a baby shower in a few weeks and I will definitely love for some of you amazing, loyal female readers to come celebrate with me. Will communicate when the time comes. Plenty kisses and God bless Linda Ikeji Culled from >>>>https://wakabobo.com/linda-ikeji-pregnant-with-a-baby-boy-full-story/ Cc; lalasticlala, Mynd44

BAE ALLOWANCE: ATTRACTION, intimacy AND GENEROSITY Published by Wakabobo.com This “Bae Allowance” of a thing is seeming not to fade away, and it’s gradually becoming a sort of barge of dishonor latched on women as being vampiress money-sucking creatures who hold men for no other value asides the material and cash gifts they can afford to bestow on them, or are willing to. Really, I doubt women or situations set-out to become (a) trade, with the man exchanging money, gifts for the sex both the man and woman enjoyed. You see, when a person(man or woman) is attracted to another( I don’t mean on a platonic level), sexual feelings make-up part of the attraction. Anyone who is arguing otherwise is being untrue to themselves. That is why it is called “chemistry”, and chemistry is never one-sided, though its mutuality may be elicited. This “elicitation of mutuality” may take time, involve enticement, persuasion and convincing. Whatever it takes, just make the other feel the same way. Remember I already said sexual feelings compose part of attraction. So if you focus on getting someone to like(love) you, somewhere down the line, maybe sooner, later, or much(much) later, the other person would invariably develop sexual desires for you(too). Sometimes people (men) are not willing to let things run this course. They want the sexual bond sooner than later, talk less of much(much) later, and would make inducements to elicit it and/or sustain it. In the same vein, when you are attracted to someone, you are (more) generous, kind-hearted and open to them. Men and women alike. In plain words, you would freely give them without reservation. Even when not exerted( when they don’t ask), people freely gift their love interest. Once you attain a certain threshold of loving someone, everything becomes easy; the giving and the taking. That is why a penniless man can still find love and enjoy all the pleasure(s) within without spending the fortune he does not have. And that is why all women are not prostitutes who lay their backs on the ground for the highest bidder. In essence, give it time, a woman would long for intimacy with a man she likes and a man will be willing to buy a woman he loves heaven and earth(as long as he can afford it). The complications that give rise to the Bae allowance thingy is when either one party narrows down their attraction for the other to sexual desires or materialistic gain, and then focus their quest on achieving that promptly, giving all it may take to accomplish the mission. Some men are all sexually attracted to women they chase, nothing else, and some women only love the big pockets of the men in their life. Remove any of these from the relationship, then all the attraction is gone. Another thing is that it’s norm for men to go for women who are younger than they are. Many years, decades younger. By this, men enter relationships with women who when they, the men, were the same age as the younger women are now, they hadn’t achieved much themselves, material wise, and were dependent on others at that time. Maybe the young girl is still a student, apprentice or a graduate without employment, or newly employed and yet to gain her feet on the ground. A stage the older male had passed in the past given that he is other. And was not any more buoyant than the girl at that stage of his life. Remember I have..... Adoption and Love - Written By Ezinne Celine Arua, Published by wakabobo.com You see, the concept of adoption is alien to me. I know of Motherless Babies Home, but adoption? Mba. The (systematic) process whereby a man and a women legally take-in a child that is not biologically theirs and begin to call the child their own. I know about taking relatives, or a child recommended by someone close. But that of processing documents to legally and officially become the child’s parent? No, its alien. I only got to know of adoption through movies. It’s observable in those movies the rigorous process involved, the scrutiny of the Govt officials and the scepticism of the adopting parents. Well, it’s understandable. Taking a stranger into your home and your life is a huge decision. The adopting agency ensures the financial capability of the parents, the warmth in their home, the size of their home and many other requirements I obviously don’t know. The adopting parents on the other hand prefer a healthy child with good genes, ectera ectera. The not-so-perfect children are left in the orphanage homes. If no one comes forward to adopt them, they are left feeling like rejects. This makes me smile. All these are skipped in biological process of becoming a parent. The parents play zero role in the genetic combination of a child. Most often than not, having a child is not even a decision that is reached. A woman wakes up one morning and discovers that she has a little one on the way. Nature considers nothing. No one asks if you have a steady job or if you have a sizable home, or you and your spouse live in harmony. A baby just comes along. Nobody knows if they are going to have a healthy baby, a pretty baby, an intelligent baby, a disabled baby. No selection whatsoever is made. Unlike in adoption where people bask in the illusion of selection and choice of a preferred (kind) of baby. That got me thinking. One, if there is life before life and life after death, I wonder what “life before life must be like”. It must be such a horror as children continue to make it into this world despite all the chaos in it; the famine, terrorism, natural disasters, disease, poverty, wars, etc. None of these mitigate the influx of babies. Maybe it may mitigate their survival, but not their “influx”. Babies continue to be born regardless of the quality and condition of life they may live in. Maybe life is too precious that in any station.... Continue Reading here>>>>>>https://wakabobo.com/adoption-and-love-a-story-by-ezinne-celine-arua/ Cc; Lalasticlala

Yahoo Yahoo was written by Ezinne and published on wakabobo.com I was very boring in my Uni. days. I think I still am sef. I never really engaged in anything in exciting. I always went my way and shied off from everything. My Uni. life remained uneventful until I moved into a new area in my final year. Not that things sparked for me, but I got a vintage perspective to the life of those living it up. I had these neighbors, next door neighbors. They were ordinary like me, but not for too long. Soon their lives changed and they joined the “big league”. Living next to them gave me a first hand expose’ into the life of “boys in the game”. My lovely once-upon-a-time average boys became overnight millionaires, living the life of exuberance that comes with it; abundance of drugs, women, cars, bling-bling. Of course as soon as they “stepped up”, they became long-term hotel residents who only came around the accommodation their parents paid for when they want to pick something or MAGA never pay. Yahoo Yahoo- That was almost a decade ago. As it turns out, those my boys are still flamboyant today. But their story is hardly without (a few) bad news. One of which is that a greater number of them never graduated from the University. The little fraction that did graduated with very weak grades. But who cares, they are not exactly ever going on job hunting. More bad news is that most picked up drug habits (addictions), expensive tastes and a sizeable pool of enemies(with Law enforcement agents making up a fine number in this pool). All these are difficult to disentangle from, so they may have to live with it for the rest of their life. But who cares, they have already chosen the high road, whatever that comes out of it is fine for them. But the (mis)dealings of fraudsters(let me call them what they are) is nothing new. Igbos have an adage that says “if a poor man is told what it takes to be rich, they would choose to remain poor”. There is a point in the life of an individual, a people or a society when they are deep down in the abyss of lack, in desperation, they resort to something brute to propel them to success. Any form of brute they resort to, usually involves illegitimate, immoral, inhuman exploitation of others. It’s important to state that some resort to hard work though, admirably. You will be shocked how most big men truly made their money. Well, we may not be too shocked given that many people pride what should be a shame these days. Some say America is a house built by slaves, a very pretty house I must add. History has it that Banks in England funded slave voyages, as slave trade was a lucrative venture then. The slaves were seen as merchandise for trade, without a perspective of them as victims. Victims whose life was being destroyed. Almost in the same vein a 24 year old fraudster never sees his MAGA as a victim. He enjoys the receipts from the victims as an abundance they have to spare. Never as something their life depends on. Never something their life would be wretched if it is lost. In the same vein a serving official would divert money appropriated for the people. Seeing the monies they loot as a chunk from the abundance of an oil-rich nation. Never from the perspective that the fund being diverted would mean that some child, somewhere would be deprived of the opportunity of getting quality education, quality healthcare. It could also mean non-development of structures and infrastructure, lack of funds for projects, research, and different forms of development etc. It’s never seen that way. All the predicator focuses on is the windfall they will reap. To think that a 23 yr-old boy can make N3million from “one hit” and burn it all within a matter of days or hours. Also, politicians would amass so much wealth, but few years down the line, the fortune disappears without as much as leaving dew behind. People win millions of naira in lottery and grow (back) broke within a disappointingly short period of time. But these are the not-so-smart ones. The smart ones invest from money profited off windfalls. They go “legit”, washing their hands clean of the dirty they built from and disassociating themselves from every reference to it. Unfortunately, the society looks away, and joins in the celebration of their transformation, never demanding for an atonement for the atrocities committed before their transformation. One big irony is that sometimes, the traits that propel them to success will be the same traits that hold them back from breaking higher ground. Those who succeed in illicit trades are known to be impulsive, defiant and ever ready to kill or maim. While it takes discipline, patience, loyalty, diligence to succeed in legitimate businesses. Only very few people are able to refine themselves by weeding off the former and imbibing the latter. Those who are successfully able to do so rise up to lead empires, become godfathers who dictate what stays and what goes in a society. People who make and unmake generations. People others look up to for justice. And we wonder why our society is broken today when we celebrate prosperity drenched in blood, pain and agony of others. Gain made off the pain and sorrow of another can never be justified, regardless of whether it has been institutionalized or has become a culture, in whatever form in appears; fraud, corruption, slavery, etc. It only creates a cycle that traps the predictor eventually. No one escapes the vapour of the water they steamed. Our reputation in the international front already bears the brut. With consequences that is hard to escape and even harder to redeem. This is sad!! The men at different times reportedly abducted the babies, roasted them and were to used them for ritual purposes Police in Uganda have arrested two men after they apprehended with bodies of roasted babies. The men at different times reportedly abducted the babies, roasted them and were to used them for ritual purposes. Twitter user @solomonkibs73 who shared the photos of the men online, wrote ”Men caught with dried babies Wrapped with different clothes And ropes. All you are seeing here on the floor are dried babies, his girlfriend leads the police to his arrest when their one month old baby suddenly got missing”. It can be recalled that the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking In Persons (NAPTIP) arrested a 38 year old herbalist, Mr Chigozie Emmanuel, aka ‘Akuchi’, for selling new born babies in Abuja. NAPTIP said in a statement on Sunday in Abuja, that Emmanuel is from Enugu State and the owner of Akuchi Herbal Concept, located at New Nyanya, Abuja. It said he was arrested “after weeks of diligent surveillance by officers of the Agency and those of the Department of State services’’. Emmanuel was allegedly “deceiving women into thinking they are pregnant and thereafter giving other people’s babies to them having collected lots of money’’. “The arrest was based on a previous arrest by the Nigerian Police, of a woman whom they saw with a baby in Abuja enroute Minna, Niger State. “Based on their suspicion, they detained and questioned the woman on the identity of the baby she carried. She admitted to being a patient of Emmanuel, whom she said administered some herbs to her after years of infertility. “She thereafter appeared pregnant and was cautioned against going to the hospital for any medical treatment or ante-natal care. “When it was time for her ‘delivery’, Mr. Emmanuel directed her to Port-Harcourt where a baby was handed over to her. She confessed to paying Mr. Emmanuel the sum of six hundred and fifty thousand naira (N650,000) for his services’’.
