Vibrated blocks are best of course. But it still has to be the correct mixture. Some of our local blockmakers use too little cement in their mixture.

I did not make any of the 8,000 or so blocks that I used so far on my project. I instead ask for specific blocks to be made for me. I add N5 or so to the price per block and I usually give the employees money when they are making my blocks. None of this is a guarantee.

On future projects, I will be buying a used vibration machine and make my own blocks then sell off the machine afterward.

Just an idea from one person, let others give you their own opinion.

Thanks so much for ur response i think d only disadvantage with vibrated block is d fact that those block indulsries dont use adequate propotion of cement cos of dia gains but dia blocks are neater and d vibration is also an advantage but i donno if the risk is worth taking

Making your own blocks, properly and with the right mixture will be cheaper.

The key is making sure that they are following best practises.

But i heard that the block making matching will press and shake the block well and with d matching it will b stronger

Oga, there is a special way of feeding cleft patients and your doctor is suppose to do justice to that. There is already negative presure due to rhe communication between the mouth and the nose.

Fenugreek is a herb you will find it mostly in the spice section of store shelves.

Pre-nan is different from nan1, it's the milk of choice for premature babies cos it helps them put on body fat faster and it's easily digested by their tender stomach.


If she's getting enough food in I doubt the two hours is too long a time to space feeding, however you can try every 90mins. She should be on 3scoops of milk mixed in 90ml of water.

Let your wife try hand expressing cos most times breast pumps don't do much. Feed whatever amount of breast milk gotten anytime she is awake! The time space feeding i gave is for formula, breastmilk should be given ANYTIME baby is awake! Mummy can express and keep refrigerated for someone to help her feed baby when she takes her nap.

Let mummy feed and rest well so her body will he relaxed and produce milk! Stress and anxiety hinders the body from milk production.

If she's taking Nan1 well then continue it. You may have to feed her more frequently to get more food into her.

Have you tried using a manual pump? Or electric. Hand pumping never worked for me but electric pumps did

Yeah she uses manual pump but i av never hard nor seen electric pump pls where can i get dt and at what cost

Thanks so much madam but the milk generated from pumping is not encouraging at all sometimes after 30mins of hard job of pumping what we see is like 3 to 5ml and d baby will with it within few seconds she will start crying again, the only safing grace so far has been NAN1 but am afraid the formular might not allow her gain weight and develop as fast as she needed to

For the breast milk let DW drink lots of hot fluid eg tea, water and uda pepper soup.
Let her bathe with warm water as well.

Moringa tea and fenugreek helps as well.

For the precious one try sma gold or do pre-nan and feed frequently along side the breast milk no matter how small comes out. Feed her every two hours I'm positive she will weigh that 5kg or more by her third month by the grace of God.

Hello mamas and experienced peeps in d house, my wife gave birth to a beutiful baby girl on d 30th of last month but d girl was born with a congenital abnormalty (cleft palate), the doctor z a corrective surgery will b done when she is 3months but she jas to weigh at least 5kg, that is where d problem is cos then breast is not coming well and the baby is not able to suck and we av tried series of remedy she is only eating NAN now. Pls what can be done for d breast milk to come in excess cos the little one we can expreas with breast pump is just not enough or which other food we can try for the baby to be upto 10pound as early as possible
