Evathyst: Why don't we all just agree that the Super Eagles should prove themselves worthy of qualifying to the 2nd round and worthy of representing Africa by winning their next 2 matches rather than working out the easiest possible ways for them to scale through into the 2nd round. As for me draws or wishing other teams to lose for Nigeria to qualify is not an option. Even if they qualify with luck, there are still bigger problems ahead . a Ategberoson: At this stage, the easiest way forward for the Super Eagles is to just win their next 2 matches with as much goals as possible |

Be careful of how you put your hopes and bets on Super Eagles. They are unpredictable and a potential heart attack trigger. 2 Likes |

Iceland is a strong and attacking team., judging from their first match. And because they are a point ahead already against Nigeria they will come to the field with the mind that in the worst case they will draw the match against Nigerian. Physiologically, their winning spirit might not be as much compare to Nigeria winning spirit (IF SUPER EAGLES IS EVER GOING TO HAVE ONE At ALL ). I think if Super eagles noticed this in their game tomorrow they should immediately capitalised on it. And even if not. They should play with all their heart 3 Likes |

samtol4: Not bad analysis, however that is still If. It is not certain. It is difficult to predict westerners football, it could go either way. But African football is somehow predictable. The best that could come out of this game for Nigeria from my own perspective is a draw to limit the scope of easy qualification of the other teams in the group into the 2nd round. This will also be a moral booster our SUPER WONDER EAGLES. Physiologically, they will still have a feeling that all hope is not lost and with a bit of effort they could close the leading gap |

AnonyNymous: If Croatia should top the group today. There will be 3 desperate teams left in the group fighting for the 2nd position. But if the match end up as a draw today and if Nigeria should win tomorrow then the equation will be almost balanced, meaning all teams in the group have almost the same equal chance to be among the top 2 qualifier to the second round. Even if Nigeria draws their match tomorrow, there is still hope. The only thing is that they must win their last match with many goals at all cost 3 Likes |

AnonyNymous: How? ![]() If Croatia won today's match they automatically qualified for the 2nd round, leaving Argentina to play almost to their death in order to win against Nigeria. It favours Nigeria if Croatia lose 6 Likes 1 Share |

sophiathefirst: Our match is on Friday 4pm. Sincerely, I am already nervous. Not because we might just lose the match. But I don't want us to lose in a shameful way just like our first match. I am really fed up with my colleagues at work from other countries saying how disappointed they were about Nigeria performance in their 1st match . |
![]() |
ukorjoe: Putting into account their performance today, I don't think so. The could do better but it was obvious that they were looking for a draw as they were defending most of the time. They started attacking when it was too late and the attack wasn't even that effective. |

Iran is not attacking. They are just defending. If this should continue through the 2nd half Spain will definitely break through the defence at point. 1 Like |
