The stupid ref already gave a yellow card, no? So why is UEFA using video against him?
And what about Ballack? he chased the ref, No?
because he dealt with it, he booked him,  for Drog they claimed he used abusive langugage.

People should understand that okocha did not step into anyone's shoes, before him we had a team, he came with his own shoe and style, contributed his quota and left with his shoe.

When Abedi was palying for Ghana , the entire team was built around him but I  wonder what Ghana football would have been  if they remained under the illusion of seeking someone to wear Abedi's shoes after he left the scene.
abi!  true talk

I fear he will bungle our qualification prospects.I seriously do.

Amodu's defensive play really worked cos we secured a vital point.

God forbid we had lost that match.

On the performance of the Players i think Mikel Obi is under performing but i surely knows he can do better.

For the striking roles the Eneramo guy because of his built should play along Uche, we need 2 striking partners to make our attack bite.

Thank God we have a world class goal keeper in Enyeama, scoring against him almost seems impossible now.

Osaze should add more precision and dierection to his game apart from his energy and will to player there is need for creativity in his style.

The team is without a player who can dribble 2 3 players and make a correct pass for the attack.

Olofinjana is hardworking but not creative.

Maybe Obodo should be recalled to add flair into the team.

I theresay an opportunity should be extended to an enterprising local player who could spring a surprise.

Amodu will deliver Insha allah.

When is the next set of Matches?

I always have a problem when people compare mikel and messi on the ground that they were almost at par in 2005. As a follower of the game I know scores of players that excelled at age competitions but never excelled at the senior level, I also know a lot of players that were not even picked for age grade competitions but later shone at the senior level.

In nigeria 99 seidu keita of mali shone better than ronaldinho and xavi but a few years done the line the difference between these players is as wide as you can imagine.

Players like sinama pongole,li tallec, saviola, marcel witezek, ojigwe, godwin opara, emmanual ebiede, geovanni dos santos are players that even Fifa picked as possible superstars in the future but we all know the story.

Mikel I believe is doing well for himself and career, 4 different coaches in chelsea ,all from different countries and different footballing background cant be wrong. The problem is that we have refused to use him the way he plays in chelsea.

We believe okocha's role is vacant hence he must play that role. This in my opinion is a very lazy way of looking at the issue. My take on mikel is simply to use him as our main DM where he plays in front of the defense and I know he will do it much better than whatever olofijana is doing now.

Mikel may have started as an attacking midfielder but now he is DM. Drogba started as a defender but now he is a striker, Kolo toure started as an attacking midfielder but now a defender. These changes happen.

Coming to the SE and the playmaker problem , I think it is wrong to assume that we will always be fortunate to have a player like J J . Before JJ we did not really have a special playmaker , even when J J joined the SE it took sometime to tune is pattern to work for the team and in that process we were playing some formations that was working but not with any special playmaker.

Siasia's benjin 2008 team did not have any special playmaker but he made sure that solomon okoronkwo although playing from the right side of the midfield held the ball enough and created something for the team.

I think our problem is our techincal crew, If we hand this team to a better coach you will see that we will not just get results but be playing the real nigerian brand of football.
nice post man I absolutely agree with you,   Okocha was not our best player in 90s era squad because he wasted ball alot many ppl showered courses on him then because after wasted the ball he will not show any sign of seriousness always laughing and when he began  many good players are  in the team to compliments him I  don’t  think  there is any quality  midfield player in dis present squad who can compliments Mikel’s talents (or d coach  can’t bring out d best in them) and the team is not built  based on quality & type of  players in the team Ancelotti said  '‘I build team depending on the characteristic of the player for example in Juventus there was Zidane he was an offensive midfielder and I built the team for Zidane. First you have to know the characteristics of the players and after you can put a system  for the player’'  the players at a coach disposal determine his formation/style and tactics. All we need is a good coach who can bring out the best in our player n u will see dem flying.

UP Blues
we are inactive in transfer market but I think Aguero and Yuri are sure for us I want the pair to sign for us and forget abt GJ we dont need dat guy except they want to sell Jose and dat is a bad decision although Kenyon is known at doing s**t bus as seen in Robinho deal. we need world class player not Sidwel and Tal Ben him type. cover for A Cole and a good striker is wot we need. Up blues,  it runs in vein,  blues 4 life

He should start, if not, let him warm the bench for us.

@poster
where do you get your news from. . .Drogba is only banned for 4 matches and not six.
Statement reads:
Chelsea FC striker Didier Drogba has been suspended for six UEFA club competition matches – the last two of which are deferred for a probationary period of two years – following incidents at the UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg against FC Barcelona in London on 6 May. The decision was taken today by the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body.

Bosingwa suspended
In addition, Chelsea defender José Bosingwa has been suspended for four UEFA club competition matches, the last of which is deferred for a probationary period of two years, for offences at the same game.

Principles of sportsmanship
Drogba and Bosingwa were facing charges of being in breach of the principles of sportsmanship by insulting the referee by making offensive comments. Drogba's suspension applies to the next four UEFA club competition matches for which the player would be eligible, while Bosingwa's ban applies to the next three UEFA club competition games for which the player would be eligible.

Chelsea fined
Chelsea have been fined €100,000 for the improper conduct of their players and the throwing of missiles by their supporters at the match against Barcelona, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

Appeal deadline
Either the club or the players may appeal against the decision within three days of the dispatch of the reasoned decision

UEFA handed Drogba a six-game suspension, while Bosingwa will miss four of the Blues' continental games in the 2009-10 campaign.

The striker was banned for six games, with two suspended for two years.

His Blues team-mate Jose Bosingwa was banned for three European games, with a further one-match ban also suspended.

Both players were found guilty of making insulting comments to the referee by Uefa, which also handed Chelsea an £85,000 fine.

Chelsea, who have three days to appeal against the punishment, were fined for the improper conduct of their players and the throwing of missiles by their fans after the 6 May match.

What of Overebo who caused the whole thing??

Remove centiments and think with a proper mind if the punishement was fair.

SportsRe: Newcastle Dumps Obafemi ! by waledoy(m): 2:30pm On Jun 13, 2009
I dont agree with u guys that Obafemi places money above career, because we all knew what he went thru @ Inter then especially the rift btw him and Andriano and when he got to NC he proved himself untill he got injured, NC problem is more than Martins  Shearer said "I was shocked at the state of the club when I came in. I was aware of mistakes that had been made. There are huge problems at the club. They are there for everyone to see.'' if NC decide to sell Obafemi today it is for his own good NC will make dr money and he will be able to play in top flight next season I dont see anything bad in dat.

@ Chidichris I love all comment uare d bomb.

I am vey surprise to read all dis senseless coment about Obagoal the then Peak ambassador ppl are ingrate in dis country they quickly forget their hero and the only reason for this is hatred, if u notice some of the comment some of dis ppl do mention 'I know him very well' and now he is morethan them they will always look for a way to bring him down. IK uche is the man all of u want now is ur current hero am sure u will say the same of him 2moro.
to me all dis guys have worked hard to become a succesfull player and God answer dr prayer  am still saying dis and I contnue saying it we ave not produce the player of Marins, Mikel, Yobo, Taiwo tallent in SE when they doped Udeze for Taiwo everyone knows this guy worth taking the role so why we dont celebrate our stars all u guys know is to sit in front of ur PC grab ur kerboard and type rubbish about di guys whom are making dr money and will continue making it regardless of what u rigth about them until they retire, if Martins is ur blood will you write such things against him though some can do it to their immediate brother that is why they dont progress because they are enemy of progress if Martins leaves NC today he can never be a flop because he is a class and his manager knows his quality so lots of manager will be very happy to have him. I dont know why u guys will be single out one player when things are not going well for SE the coach is technically ok management is bad (NFF) no team work when SE dont perform I beleive all the team including coaching crew are guilty not Mikel, Martins, Yobo or any single player as all of them are part of the team.

@vikiviko, Dr Kitaun and others prophet of doom u better change your philosophy and whis ur fellow man goodluck instead of predicting doom.

Hosanna today crucify him tomoro',  now those guys are bad luck to SE u ave quickly forget they played all the first phase of the WCQ with 100% record, the question is was dat team played better to the way they played against Mozambique? if we should drop this guys which I still see as SE eagle best asset for now let it be for a better players not for all dis s***t if Kenya played the way Mozambique did they will ave go away with at least a point. the coach is not sure of himself we all read in C P dat this guys missed France match due to visa / passport problem so why nail them. they are stil d best for now am not saying we should not drop them as it is not dr birth right  but let put in those dat can do a better job on the pitch,  I dont know how Olofinjana is giving a starting role when we ave Ayinla, keita, Etuhu on the bench.

one thing I know for sure is Yobo, Taiwo, Mikel, Utaka, Martins are still our best player for now untill we produce another talent of dr calliber I dont think we should send them away.
''(eni ti o gbo kuku ojo to da omi inu agbada 'nu)'' coach think well if  it did not work for u all d ppl saying u shld drop dem will blame u for ur low thinking faculty.

well, you haters of Mikel here u go again calling him a flop. Mikel sent the likes of Diara and Sidwell out of chelsea, he was voted the best chelsea player last month the problem with u guys is that u don't appreciate ur thing, with set of players in chelsea this guy still manage to establish himself in that squad and everybody know he is one of the important player in dat squad this season, he also make top 10 Africa best player.  you said he don't perform in national team does a tree make a forest? with player like Olofinjana, Utaka, and other dat cannot even make bench of dr respective club you don't see the fault of Yakubu, Martins and Yobo when it comes to National match you only put the blame on Mikel, is he the only one in the team? it is only who don't watch chelsea match That will call Mikel a flop. the coaches knows about his potential that is why they can let him go. Mikel is not overrated, it is you his Nigeria fellow don't appreciate him, he is always list among the best in the world and he is improving everyday. WATCH OUT B4 THE END OF THE SEASON  CL medal EPL medal and FA cup medal. Mikel copy nobody and respect ur family
