My brother it's worrisome arguing with those embittered people. They say it to your face to exclude Lagos from southwest as if Lagos is in the northwest. They claimed to have developed Lagos which has been debunked many times. Those people has fallaciously deceived most Yorùbás that hasn't been to their region.

Their tiny landmass ought to have been an advantage for them but no. Only their city centre have some semblance of development and when you calculate all the developed parts of their city centres with developed parts of southwest, the margin is stupendously wider.

If not for stupidity, should an economic seekers like ibos be trying to compete with their benefactors? They've tried downgrading southwest many times but failed. Mowe-ibafo, isheri, magboro, ota, Abeokuta, sagamu etc all in ogun state combined together developed pass all the developed areas of southeast.

Mumu like dem circulate old pictures of brown roofs when most of those places has paved ways for modern buildings. One ibo dude was downplaying abẹ́òkúta until the guy entered abẹ́òkúta to see things for himself. He became dumb and deaf with the massive developments he saw. For the fact that we don't make noise doesn't mean we're ibos mate. They should compete with the minor groups or the north, not yorubas cos we ain't mate.
They appear dump to me each time I come across such quote .( Asside LAGOS...they always exclude Lagos each time they want to mock the west because of the insecurity in them . They are jealous of the same Lagos .. They always wish they owns it... They always have excuses that it's a former capital.. They forgot so soon that, only 3 islands was federal capital territory in Lagos

1) Lagos island
2) Victoria island
3) IKOYI island

Mainland in Lagos never part of it.... Including lekki ajah , banana island .. epe island , ikorodu island , snake island and apapa Lagos.

Dis is what elder statement Clark said again..

Need Your Excellency be reminded that it was the practice of the principle of derivation that enabled your region, the Western Region, then under Chief Obafemi Awolowo, and the Northern Region, then under Sir Ahmadu Bello, to reap all the money that enabled them develop far ahead of the then Eastern Region. The Eastern Region did not progress like the other two regions. From the benefits of the practice of derivation principle, the Western Region introduced free education, built universities, the first Television in Africa, among other economic and social infrastructure, including hiring at the time, an Israeli Company, Soleh Bole, to develop roads and other infrastructure.

The implementation of this principle continued until 1956

So, u meant u know better than RENO OMOKRI ?
Re read again...
This is what Reno said about the Yorubas

The reason why Yorubas are the biggest music stars of Nigerian origin is because they are unabashedly Yoruba. They do not try to sing or act like Westerners. They are very in-your-face with their Yoruba-ness. And when people like themselves to such a high degree, others tend to join them in liking them.

There are an estimated 15 Black billionaires on Planet Earth. Three of them are Yoruba. More than any ethnic nationality in Africa.

US President, Joe Biden, named a Yoruba man, Adewale Adeyemo, as deputy Treasury Secretary. This is the highest position to which a Black African has been appointed (not elected) in US history. Another Yoruba man, Dr. Oluyinka Olutoye, became the first person on Earth to successfully perform a surgery by taking out an unborn fetus from its mother’s womb and putting it back after the surgery.

77% of all Black doctors in America, and a very large percentage of these are Yoruba.

And below it's what ASARI DOKUBO said about ibo...

Southeast it's a barren region...it has no economical value to Nigeria government...

2021 south east highest contribution to national purse it's 29b..
