ichidodo: Typical maggots, instead of looking at the issue critically raised by a concerned citizen they all delve into conjectures of proffessionalism or pseudo-proffessionalism of the O.p.Why? Because APC as a party has nothing to offer to Nigerians.......Vote Out APC..Vote out negligience and death... Don't mind all these people with their shallow analysis. If people had been trapped when it collapsed again probably they wouldn't be ranting like this |
JideTheBlogger: Yes ooo. I hope he is reading this..Yes I'm reading carefully. I don't intend to incite anyone. Lives were lost when it collapsed weeks ago. If the re-constructed one had failed during the day,it would have been a different story. You need to see what people around this place are going through. |
Gbawe: @OP. It is easy to question your intentions and motivation if, as a construction "professional", you represent a temporary pedestrian bridge as "Apete Bridge" in your thread title. You think you are the only construction/built environ "professional" here? The Pedestrian bridge is temporary, as a means to aid pedestrian traffic while the main bridge is under construction, and restrictions was placed on its usage.Quite interesting that you got confused with the use of my adjective. Would like to ask what a bridge is. Is it not a structure carrying a road or a path across a river or obstacle? You got me cracking when you were quoting the word 'professional' as if I had made the biggest of errors by calling a spade a spade! You people should stop being partisan. This said pedestrian bridge collapsed a couple of weeks ago claiming scores of lives until it was reconstructed shabbily recently. Thank God this one failed over night without any casualty. The alternative is one danger too many. They got our votes(mine inclusive) if they ain't doing the right thing we have to call them to other. #Team Good Governance# |
aresa: Of course that's what you really are and you professed it already so stop insulting our intelligence with your bungled charade and bogus thread.Lol. I don't stand to gain anything here. Could you please quote where my allegiance has been credited to the government at the centre? I am entitled to express my opinion and if you don't see anything palatable about that then you ignore. Why not address the issue of the submerged bridge rather than insult. How much were you paid? #team good governancea# |
aresa: Your quote from another thread...You will have to try harder Bro. Yes I used to but no more due to below par performance. Not a GEJ Apologist or Bootlicker. |
salt1: I struggle to understand you!Would you mind these people who dont have sanctity for human lives? |
blaise26abj: OP: Please stop calling yourself a professional if you will politicize even procedures in your so called profession. It is a freaking makeshift wooden bridge. If he closes that route till the bridge construction is completed, you will complain. He provides a temporary bridge, you are shouting. Are you saying he should have provided a RC temporary Bridge? See this guy oWell whether I'm a professional or not that shouldn't trouble you. The reality on ground is that the immediate past temporary bridge that collapsed claimed lives. The one they recently constructed was a disaster in making, was not suprised that it was submerged coz I saw the whole stuff they put together. |
xtremely9ja: Help tell the OP o. The OP said he is a professional, but the pictures he posted in contrast to his post speaks otherwise. A good lesson from the post;---Reason hard don't just post anything for sensationalism---Sensationalism? Oh! I would duly withdraw my comment if you could post the immediate past pictures and lets compare. I dont have time for any propaganda. Where I work is a stone throw from the scene and besides, I quickly took the shots on my way to work. Let someone confirm if its a blatant lie. |
1. I may not be smart like you (you know what I mean) but if I were the one posting the article I would have made a clear distinction between a wooden temporary pedestrian staked platform and a bridge been a supposed professional. Because you know the structure that will readily comes to mind when anybody reads the word bridge from you heading. posts below refers; ![]() 2. I could have overlooked your errors if you have stated that the supposed bridge w Insult you? I dont do that, besides you were trying to make the whole issue more debatable when its glaring there was a failed structure. Its so funny that you are still insisting it was the immediate past thread that showed people starring at the incident. My caption could have been tricky(ask a journalist why),you wont shy away from the fact that those pictures were for real. |
xtremely9ja: Check all the pictures what you will see is a 3 span RCC bridge under construction and if you look at the second picture you will see a broken up wooden pedestrian bridge. So the question is which of the two bridges is the OP referring to? As to the construction equipment I dare the OP to post the surrounding picture of the supposed bridge.I thought you were smart enough to differentiate a make~shift bridge from a Reinforced concrete bridge. From my post, I thought you could see part of the submerged temporary bridge. I dont stand to gain anything from this. The under construction bridge was the only obvious structure you could see; others have been submerged no thanks to the heavy downpour! Btw you think people will gather as early as possible to stare endlessly @ d decimated bridge? Dont you understand |
alienvirus: That guy is a mofo. He is better left ignored.I had wanted to shy away from the latter part of your comment, but couldn't help it. Why would you compare an Emir with a Religious leader. This is how you people stir up strife and religious intolerance in the society between both faiths. Read that your comment again if it was reasonable and clap for yourself after that. |
OtunbaJega: oponu op... see bridge under construction...where is the collapsed bridge?....op must b silllyI dont have to join issues with you because I'm not a bootlicker or APC apologist like you. Open your eyes clearly to see the pictures of the pedestrian make~shift bridge with part already submerged. You think am here for a propaganda? You must be on a very long thing. Why be @ the mercy of these political rascals (APC & PDP). Do they pay you people? #team good governance# |

It quite annoying and disheartening how politicians play with the lives of innocent citizens. I just got to work this morning to notice the collapse of the pedestrian bridge constructed by Oyo state government to ease the movement of people from Apete town via The Polytechnic Ibadan. As a matter of fact, I condemned the newly constructed pedestrian bridge as a professional in the field of construction on this platform;being cheap and lacked the factors of safety. The State government came with her press crew to cover the completion and politicize the whole fiasco. Its very laughable that this government is insensitive to the plight of the masses as they are scoring cheap political point with projects at the Central district of the town why neglecting ones at the developing areas. The Ajimobi led government has got a lot of cases to answer. Thank God no life was lost. We need to challenge governance in this nation;be it APC or PDP. God bless Nigeria |
