Drive it for at least 300kms in between making sure your get up to speeds where you’d engage fifth gear. You can drive it for a couple of days to get to this amount of required mileage between changes.

One of your solenoid screens is almost plugged up because of dirty or old transmission fluid. The bad news is that the affected solenoid is not one of the two switches visible and easily accessible on the external part of your gearbox but the culprit is actually one of the other D, E or F solenoids INSIDE the gearbox housing itself.

To take care of the issue you’d have to drain out all yiur transmission fluid and drop your gearbox then open the casing to be able to reach the affected one to clean it up properly. Also don’t forget to clean your transmission oil filter while you’re in there.

Or

You can do your transmission drain and fill THREE TIMES to try and flush out the debris blocking the screen of the affected solenoid. Remember to use original atf dw1 fluid in your transmission.

Your luck is that this issue isn’t one that can grenade your gearbox because people have driven with the same symptoms for years without their gearbox packing up. It’s just the discomfort of always checking your rpms and lifting your foot to change the gear from 1 to 2 that’s the hassle plus the fact that you can’t zoom off from a stop light smartly because of it.

If there are no codes, then check for...
- low transmission fluid
- dirty transmission fluid
- leaking transmission fluid
- or maybe you are not using the right Honda transmission fluid (DW-1).

In any case, change your transmission fluid.
Put the right quality and the right quantity.

You need to call an engineer to reduce the power, and adjust the carburetor, and it will run smoothly, and consume low fuel.

Tell your technician to trace the communication line from the ECU,CAN H and CAN L to the OBDII port with the aid of alldata.

The power loss thing started after I steam washed then engine.
It started with engine misfiring which my mechanic advised I change the spark plugs and did some setting on it. It then stabilizes but looses power climbing hill. It difficult climbing hill that it doesn't kickdown to speed up but stays in that particular gear and drags up d hill

Oga Gazzuzz, i need your professional opinion of some issues concerning my 2007 Honda Accord

1. The rear wheel is slightly bent inwards (More visible on the passenger rear)from the top. It's more obvious when parked on a flat surface. I have had like 2 mechanics check and they seem to see it differently.

This has started to wear my rear tyres towards the inside (more noticeable on the rear right)

Another mechanic suggested the Rear Upper Control Arm (mine is non-adjustable) needed to cut and additional iron joined to it to resolve the slanted rear wheel

Is the Rear Upper Control Arm and ball joint assembly available in Lagos?

2. Since i acquired the car, i've had issues scanning the car. Only one scanner (Launch) has been able to scan the car while all others simply do not connect.

Please advise
