Good evening everyone.
Bought a Honda Accord 07 this today, but my mechanic noticed there is not Catalyst in the car, said it cost about 90k to get a replacement or I get someone to manually create a makeshift one for the car. I honestly don't want to spend much to fix the car.

I need an advise on what to do??

Please help.

Hello house I need help. I have lost count of numbers of inner cups I replaced within a year on my 2011 Honda Accord. The car vibrates at acceleration and each time I changed it stops for like a month or two and then resume calling for replacement again.
I need suggestions on how to solve this problem once and for all please. . . thanks

There is a very wide difference between the viscousity of the 2 lubricants.

Don't change to Mobil 2000 5w30 if you're satisfied with the performance of your engine with Mobil Super XHP 1000.

They can work something in replacement of the catalyst . I did something similar at Oyingbo.

The rate of catalyst theft is too much.

The car was just bought and the previous owner was using Mobil XHP. The car is not burning oil but i was just looking at better performance as per what had being discussed in previous threads. The car will be used for e-hailing

The car was just bought and the previous owner (the first owner) used Mobil XHP 1000. I cannot say much about the performance for now but i was hoping that using Mobil Super 2000 5W30 will improve performance of the engine and still keep i running for a long time.

The car will be used for e-hailing.

Need Help!!!

Car: Honda Accord 2004 2.4L i4
Problem noticed: Car drives well on a free road. After getting stuck in traffic for some mins, hard shifting is noticed (having to get to RPM to shift to the next gear). Then there is a kickback when downshifting (taking the leg off throttle). Once I park by the road side, engine off and back on, it resets. Until the next traffic.
This mostly happens after a long drive

CEL is off
Car scanned: Codes- P0685, P0780, P1734 (PCM/ECM power relay circuit control malfunction, problem in shift control system and shift solenoid valves B and C stuck on respectively)

What's the possible solution to this?

The possible solution is that you take the car to an accredited Honda specialist within your location for repairs!

Drive the car with the 20w50 oil for a month. Note the fuel economy and performance. Thereafter change to Mobil 2000 5w30 semi synthetic oil.

Only then can you be sure of the difference in performance and fuel efficiency.

The 5w30 is better by miles. I've tried both.

If there are no codes, then check for...
- low transmission fluid
- dirty transmission fluid
- leaking transmission fluid
- or maybe you are not using the right Honda transmission fluid (DW-1).

In any case, change your transmission fluid.
Put the right quality and the right quantity.

When you start moving from gear one and it’s about to enter gear two if you lift your feet from your throttle pedal would it shift smoothly?
