cule7:In my opinion, I strongly believe Gbajabiamila is culpable and should be investigated. With immediate effect, Gbajabiamila should be relieved of his position by suspension until investigation is completed or sacked. The level of complicity and compromise and regulatory supervision failure on this matter is extreme. |
Gboss247:Based on this statement, it is obvious that you are half-baked schooled person or not a business or economics informed person. |
Mandem05:Mr/Miss internet Ninja - Mandem05, welcome oh! My position on the topic is mine rightfully and not an argument; I am not in an argument with you so don't come to my mention with arguments. NNPC owned refineries are not economically viable and cost effective in today's world. They are outdated in terms of engineering, designs, functionality and capacity so the solution is to sell the companies at scrap value or de-assemble the majority of the equipment and sell as scraps to allow the introduction of new and updated equipment and storage facilities at ali the three refineries. There will definitely be a need to also overhaul the human and material resources to deploy in the new, modernized and advanced refineries. Dangote Refinery is definitely in a position to impose monopoly on the downstream petroleum products production and marketing industry in Nigeria. You only took a contrary position because you don't understand the economics and business finance and entrepreneurship involved. It is definitely not Dangote's fault that his refinery is the major functional refinery in Nigeria; it is the fault of the federal government over the years and currently. Though we know several, over 10, licences were issued for moribund refineries of small crude oil capacities across states. We know that BUA is actively building another petroleum refinery that has exceeded 50% completion level but has lower crude oil processing capacity compared to Dangote Refinery. We are also aware that a larger crude oil capacity petroleum refinery has been licensed to take off in Ondo state. Efforts are seen but how soon it would translate to additional production of petroleum products refining in Nigeria is what we can't predict effectively. For now, the only option the government of Nigeria and Nigerians have is to create another supply alternative through importation despite the production of petroleum products by Dangote Refinery and supply to the local market, this is to create an enabling environment for forces of demand and supply to determine the final prices of petroleum products and encourage investment in the downstream petroleum industry. |
Dangote Refinery has been orchestrating a monopoly in the downstream sector abinitio. That was a major component of his strategy and he planned to replicate the control that NNPC had on the petroleum marketing ndustry for years. I am not surprised that he orchestrated the removal of the formal NMDPRA boss and he has been trying to impose Dangote Refinery as the sole supplier of petroleum products in Nigeria, at ridiculous prices with the believe that Nigerians would have no option. It is very exigent to bring other Nigerian Petroleum Refineries on board and create a competitive market that allows forces of demand and supply to determine the prices of petroleum products. |
yarimo:However, her reaction today isn't out of place. She was spot-on! |
Gerrard59:I don't intend to make him look good, I am not excusing his or her shortcomings. They are both not perfect however, having extramarital affairs is not excusable by me. If he has filed for divorce and she is fine with the divorce, so be it. Even if she isn't fine with it, it doesn't influence his position on the divorce or separation. Upon divorce, both parties are free to remarry or date someone else. Stop being judgemental towards Frank, he owes you nothing. He deserves happiness and fulfillment too. |
Gerrard59:So if he had a first divorce, he should not be with any woman or several women. Is he an Eunuch? Your statement doesn't even make sense. He has every right and reason to remarry if he so wishes. |
1nice:You have got no surprise for Yorubas, your behavior and attitude is known already. |
1nice:Your igbo man can only be President via vote, through the ballot. Tell your igbo men who wish to be President of Nigeria to contest the elections and win before laying claims to the office. No one gets awarded or claim the office of the president by right. |
Gerrard59:Just read what you wrote again and them think through it. |
ogododo:Bad idea. |
BeardedMeat:Can you prove that Tinubu is killing opposition voice? You are too small and tiny to disgrace Tinubu. |
Naustine:"Wole Soyinka is a highly educated Nigerian playwright and Nobel laureate who studied at University College Ibadan (1952–1954) and the University of Leeds (1954–1957), earning a BA in English literature. His education focused on English literature, Greek, and Western history, laying the foundation for his acclaimed literary career." Wole went ahead to get a first degree in University of Leeds despite graduating with a third class in University of Ife. He graduated with a Second Class Upper Credit from University of Ibadan. He is also a Nobel Laureate. So, you can't compare him with Peter Obi. |
Eleph:You still don't get it. NNPC Ltd has been privatised. It has also been decided by the management and board or NNPC Ltd that refining petroleum products with the Warri, Kaduna and Port Harcourt refineries are no longer feasible. The management and board is also actively trying to sell off the refineries or enter into a partnership with private investors and technical partners to refine petroleum products in Nigeria, going forward. However, the previous board and management and the present board of NNPC Ltd can inform us about the huge funds sunk into turn around maintenance of the various refineries, especially under Buhari's government. This will ensure accountability and consequences for mismanagement and fraud on use of the funds. |
Mattswaggz:What do you mean by politically correct? The truth is just true, no matter how you twist it. |
Amumaigwe:Again, I speak for myself, based on experience and evidence of previous elections in Nigeria. Don't edit my statement to misinform the public. I said and I insist: "All Nigerian people, so far, tend to vote in line with Tribal and Religious sentiments. That will not change in the forseable future in Nigeria. Again, I see Tinubu's government efforts and that is important for me, it will be the reason I would vote for him or not. You and your folks engaged in misinformation, de-marketing and disunity can't influence my choice." We can do a simple test: Answer these questions honestly - What tribe are you? What religion do you associate with or identify with? Who is your choice of president for Nigeria in the next general election? |
Amumaigwe:Direct that question to the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. You should get a direct and concise answer from them. I don't speak for the president. |
Tenses:You had this same post on another thread, I responded to it a while ago and for you to repost exactly the same thing again. It simply means you guys are a team of sponsored and organized antagonists operating a system of attack on the President Tinubu. You have prepared attack lines supplied to you all to Stoke division, attacks and disruptions. There is no point engaging you because you are irredeemable. I thought I was engaging someone honestly expressing his or her mind but now I know goi are staged. |
Racoon:That is your opinion, keep it and keep up the wailing. |
Amumaigwe: ![]() Unfortunately for you, he will not resign. You can cry us a river till infinity, he will not resign! |
Tenses:What promise did he make that was broken? People like you are terrible at decision making because you don't study or try to understand the circumstances of event or situation before attempting to pass judgement or suggest solutions. That is obvious because you said you don't care about the root cause or circumstances of Plateau state crisis. No one is excusing the President Tinubu's government from the insecurity crisis in Plateau and others states in Nigeria, it is part of the Federal Government's responsibility to ensure sacurity, safety of lives and property. The efforts of the federal government to solve the several challenges in Nigeria is noted by some of us and that is good enough for me. They can do better and I will continue to expect them to do better but I will not pass a vote of no confidence in the current federal government. They should keep pushing with their efforts. |
Heffalump:What do you mean by the statement that Adeboye is a fraud. Do you know that statement can be used to prosecute you? Who in your family, household or among your brethren did Enoch Adeboye defraud? You are becoming a nui.san.ce on this topic. Besides, I assume you are ig.b.o because of your sentiments on this matter. |
ZombieTERROR:Tinubu doesn't need your campaign, keep it for your preferred person but don't de-market Tinubu or others. Every Nigerians, so far, tend to vote in line with Tribal and Religious sentiments. That will not change in the forseable future in Nigeria. Again, I see Tinubu's government efforts and that is important for me, it will be the reason I would vote for him or not. You and your folks engaged in misinformation, de-marketing and disunity can't influence my choice. |
socialmediaman:His opinion may be your opinion but definitely not the opinion of 80% of Nigerians. It is sad that you aren't satisfied with Tinubu's government, I am not satisfied too but I see the efforts too and that counts for me and of utmost significance. |
SeverusSnape:The imam is expressing his personal opinion and sentiments, like they always do when general elections are near. We understand the theatrics and efforts of the Imams. We don't see cursed or failed administration, we see an administration that is trying to overcome the challenges of leadership, society and economy. They are not the best, just like every government around the world, the important factor is that they are still trying to solve problems and challenges. That is what I want to see. The achievements can be evaluated over time especially at the end of their term in office. |
esnbrutality:Can you quote an instance wheteby I insulted or abused your Igbo leaders? So if you know that only God knows those who represent Him, why do you want to play God and judge, crucify, abuse and insult the Enoch Adeboye for allegations that you can't substantiate. Must Adeboye support you? Must Adeboye agree with you? Must you cyber-bully Adeboye to follow your lead? Must Adeboye see things the way you see it? |
Whynotthetruth:I don't need to show you because you would not even see it. Insecurity has always been a challenge for every Nigerian government and governments all over the world. This is not peculiar to Tinubu's government alone. Hunger is a challenge in majority of countries in the world. Nigeria is not an exception. Every government will assume office to fix those challenges affecting their nations. I see the efforts of the government, you would not see them, hence there is no problem arguing with you |
Tenses:So presidential Tinubu's visit will stop attacks in Plateau state? It will deter the enemy camp - so you say. Do you even understand that Plateau state has been volatile and crisis ridden with tribal and religious crisis over decades. It has been the case of Plateau state even before Tinubu became a president of Nigeria. Since you believe his promise is a lie, why do you need him to be Plateau crisis ridden spots? That is the irony of your statements. |
Whynotthetruth:Your opinion that "he isn't doing his job or that he failed in everything" is your personal opinion, it isn't general opinion. You are just 1 out over 200 million Nigerians. Keep wailing! |
