I might not have read your initial post that led to your exchanges with the chaps. But my intervention was directed at answering your question "why sokoto". I was interested in that particular question because I had asked the same question before reading from Sokoto state's governor who asserted that the U.S. attacks decimated the terrorists' camp and he went further to say that the cross-border banditry would soon stop in Sokoto.

It was from there that I drew my inference that maybe Sokoto was targeted because of the presence of these cross-border terrorists. I shared same with you because I assumed that you might not have read that piece on Sahara reporters.

Now, I have not downplayed USA support in the fight against terrorism. I only wonder why the USA 🇺🇸 rather prefer to call it Christian terrorism or Christian genocide when all the empirical evidences available from Nigeria shows that the terrorism in Nigeria is targeted at everyone, not minding your religion or tribe.

I have issues with 🇺🇸 USA military strike in Nigeria without express cooperation and approval from the Nigerian government. In this case, the Nigerian government is claiming to be aware and have approved the strike in Sokoto, Nigeria.

However, the fact that the USA🇺🇸 executive government acted without the approval of the USA🇺🇸 legislative arm of government with the military strike in Nigeria still makes it illegal and impeachable offence for Donald Trump.

You can direct your question on why the Sultan of Sokoto is silent to the Sultan himself, I don't speak for him and I wouldn't know.

If you know that the terrorists are his boys, you should have your proof otherwise be careful what you say on social media. We are not really ghosts on nairaland or social media any longer.

The challenges in Nigeria are complicated, Hydra headed and several.
