Toddler twins joined at the head have been successfully separated today following an 11-hour operation by a team of 30 doctors, 20 nurses and many other paramedical staff.



Medics from around the world came together in New Delhi, India, for the risky surgery on Jaga and Kalia, who amazed the health profession by surviving to the age of two-and-a-half.


The twins were born in a village in the eastern state of Odisha with shared blood vessels and some shared brain tissue.


They had undergone the first phase of the separation surgery in August.


"The most challenging job after the separation was to provide a skin cover on both sides of the brain for the children as the surgery had left large holes on their heads," said Maneesh Singhal, a plastic surgeon who was a part of the operating team.


"The skin was generated from the expansion of two balloons which were placed inside their heads during the first surgery in August,"

The huge operation, their second had to be brought forward after Jaga's health deteriorated in recent months.

The boys who were originally named Honey and Singh have survived against the odds as twins fused at the cranium have an 80 per cent risk of dying by the age of two if they are not separated.


Odisha health minister Pratap Jena said: 'Their health is stable, but they will be kept under observation for 72 hours.

Plastic surgeons are on their job after they were separated surgically.'

There was pandemonium in Ebonyi state yesterday around 8:3pm when this woman was electrocuted by electric wire which 9News Nigeria learnt that it was carelessly left naked by those maintaining Street light along udoka hall Cas campus on a path leading to her house.
9News Nigeria gathered that the woman went to fetch water with her little kid when she met her untimely death.




So unfortunate she died this way but she didnt seem to have died on the street...see her body naa....with her clothes clean

According to an eyewitness who narrated what happened to our correspondent said that..
”The most painful part of it is that her husband died 2yrs after their marriage leaving her the the 3 kids. The elderest among them is 8yrs”
We appeal to government of Ebonyi state to assist those children and recuse them from suffering and also caution those in charge of the street light to remove all the naked wire which could be found in the along udoka hall, in Ebonyi state.

I was there live in that hall. Report has it that it was one of those dignitaries that farted and I wasn't surprised. Yoruba people are known to have the deadliest fart of the the 3 main tribes in Nigeria. Their farts have been known to have the power of eliminating every living thing within 2km. I once had a yoruba girlfriend. She will eat my sharwama and drink my icecream. When we get home she will use mess to suffocate the living daylight out of me. I broke up with her within 5 days and vowed never to date a yoruba woman again.
