Emmanuelson:
Visa denied yesterday June 13 by the black American woman denied the two in front of me.
My profile : Gre 313
Toefl : 110
Applied to five schools : university of New haven(50%scholarship, tamuk(in state tuition and $1k scholarship), university of New Hampshire($10k scholarship), MTSU and NCA. all accepted me and three gave me scholarship

Vo: pass your passport and i20
Me: passed
Vo: why computer science
Me: having studied computer engineering during my undergraduate, I started working in my department as a graduate assistant with a lecturer slot in waiting and I choose to study computer science because it aligned with my career goals and there are only few lecturers in my dept that can handle both fields of computer science and engineering so this will give me edge over the others

Vo: why USA?
Me : the us education systems have been deemed the best amongst all others and they are well know for their quality of education and research opportunities. Me Studying in an IT course and United States Being center of innovation and inventions with the big IT guys in the us I couldn’t think of a better place to go.
Vo: what’s your highest level of education and when ?
Me: B.Tech Computer engineering and 2015
Vo: what have you been doing since then ?
Me: went for my nysc and have since been working as a GA in my school where I graduated
Vo: how many schools did you apply too!
Me:five
Vo: why this school?
Me: apart from the fact that I got a 50% scholarship that is equivalent to $8,235, one unique thing about university of New Haven computer science program is their area of cyber security and digital forensics network.the school have a state of art Henry c Lee institute of forensic science that feature a crime scene simulator center.. vo cuts in
Vo: who is sponsoring you ?
Me: in addition to the 50% scholarship I got, my parents will take care of my remaining expenses
Vo: what do they do?
Me: dad is a senior officer in the Nigerian custom and mom lives and work in the us
Vo: what does she do?
Me : she’s a certified nursing assistant
Vo: have you traveled outside Nigeria before ?
Me: no , have not had any reason to
Vo: I see you have a brother in the us ?
Me: yes my little brother lives there along side my mom who are...she was typing then cuts in

I’m not convinced bla bla bla

Note: my mom and brother are both legal permanent residents in the US

I went with my mom to her interview as a beneficiary few years ago but I rejected the immigrant visa because I don’t want to migrate to the us...

I would love to reapply please are there dates available for recently denied applicants now?

Gurus in the house please help your boy oooh
@Bold...
I feel your fumble there because with your profile you are going for master degree but the answer sounds like someone who is going for another bsc.

Telling VO your area of interest in computer science that is so vast and wide would have been what the VO wanted to hear but unfortunately you said something else.

Correct!

To be honest.... the fact yours was not an issue doesn't mean it won't be an issue for the next . Nobody can be sure what exactly is been checked . I think they might not check balance after printed date but it all speculative . Only the embassy team knows

Yours took 3 to 4 days ... I know someone here who we pm for a while. His AP took months .. Sure they might work to turn things around so there is no backlog and people can resume school but I don't think there a time frame
@bold is the outcome negative or positive?

Hello, my sponsor will be presenting his Company's account to me.

He's my Uncle (different surname).

Is there any problem that might occur with this?

Secondly, is there any documents I should take along to back this up?

Lagosismyhome, Twoods, Walspring, Imperiouss and other gurus
Using his statement is not bad, just be ready to explain to VO why he is your sponsor.

Go with all documents it wont kill you when you carry it. grin grin grin grin grin

Hi bro, I don’t think they have the authorization to probe for someone’s account balance, it’s against the bank fiduciary duties/responsibilities, in my opinion they can only check if the account is legit.

And according to CBN as a bank customer, you have the right to privacy and confidentiality. But na Naija sha anything fit happen.
The don't even stress themselves on what you posted.

Account can be legit and still be said to be fake.

Embassy only asked bank a cool question which is very simple and bank only reply with YES or NO with little note on it if needed

Don't let us be surprise maybe sooner or later when embassy will ask you to tell your bank to send the bank statement to them officially as if you want to evaluate your transcript via WES grin grin grin grin grin
