Yeah, it seems so, the first thing was to cue up since i was number 4, then a documents were taking from each person, barcode scanned, passport scanned as well, then a number would be written on the Ds-160 confirmation page you provided with your passport, and returned to you, then next is to go to the next officer who would request the Number written on your DS-160, you read out the number then she instructs u to place your fingers for bio-metrics without collecting your documents, when your prints have been taking. You would be assigned a seat, and wait for your turn with the V.O with your documents all in your possession. Someone said they dont assign sit anymore but you posted that people will be assigned a seat. But there is a place up there where you number will pop up and you will know which VO will interview you or the VO call your number Lemme ask were you interview at Lagos or Abuja embassy Because is like you guys are mixing things up |

amanze15: Their new pattern at the embassies is so quick you have barely 2 minutes to convince them, incoherent responses have been the major course of denials, I noticed a woman who got invited by a Baptist church to "console" her for the death of her husband., since he had strong links with the church in the states, she told the VO she was going for Burial ........for all those going for interview soon, may we find a favourable VO, they have little time to say "yes or no" Godspeed and unending favour @Bold Amen in the name of Jesus Were you interview at Lagos or Abuja consulate |

If a VO is done wit someone, he/she say next then d next person on d line step 2 d cubicle. Chairs are left empty... those who visited d embassy recently can talk abt der experience too. Omo! wizzy11: Thanks Guys,
God bless you Greatly, I think she did not hear me or maybe i was not audible since there was a demarcation like most banks.
Bellow are the Details.
Expenses AY 15-16 Instructional Fees (tuition) $8,188 Non-resident Surcharge $7,992 General Fees $1,256 Network Fees $66 Living* (10 Months) $11,500 Ohio University Health Insurance $1,800 Total $30,802***
I got a Grad Assitantship of
The Graduate College received notification from Info and Telecom Systems program that you were offered a Graduate Assistantship estimated at $15418. Please review Expenses for International Students http://www.ohio.edu/graduate/tuition.cfm You will need to provide the documents outlined below showing the remaining $15384 ($30,802 less $15418 the amount of the offer).
Hence i went with Dad's personal bank Statement with 2.8 mill. (Since i had a Tuition waiver) and not the Biz account (Although still opened with his name) which has about 7 time the amount in the personal account.
Actually, she did not request my I-20 as it was with me all through. And i was blown out (maybe because she just Rejected the person before me.) Still wondering.
@ ebdib,
Dad was still my sponsor since i was not getting full funding. So i was to provide proof of extra funding.
@ ridimic1
The name of the School is listed on the Health Insurance cost.
@ profojah
It was well listed and clearly stated. I just got a mail from which i pasted the part in Italics above, i printed the mail as well.
The problem is, i actually did not understand what was going on, until she issued me the 214(b) letter. I was expecting more questions, so i can explain and point out. But she Just looked at the bank statement and gave me the Document.
Thanks Guys for your Contributions and advice. I would work on my voice and presentation on the next one.
@ Profjah
Thanks, i guess she did not hear me well or there was some misinterpretation (She even asked me my Dad's occupation i told her but she did not hear or seem to understand the profession i mentioned), even my I-20 states Family as My sponsor.
Before i forget the I-20 stated on the Part 9 (Remarks) That "student should arrive with $2000 for initial cost," (Heaven knows this was actually the reason i went with the personal bank statement) There is something wrong here... How can your I-20 be with your all through? because I-20, ds160 and passport are collected when you do bio-metric.. Am i wrong Abi is that the new policy now at the US embassy |

bvc: Hey guys, here's my story. Made a 3rd class in my undergrad, studied chemistry. A travel agent I called told me it'll be best I do a fresh undergrad course relating to chemistry, he's suggesting nursing in Tacoma Community college. He said veering for a postgrad would raise an eyebrow as to why I didn't just do it in Naija, where its cheaper. I don't mind a 2nd degree, but I wouldhv preferred houston or los angeles, but I'm a novice in this.
Gurus, please help a newbie answer all the questions in my head: 1) Can't I get a visa friendly school to do a post grad? 2) Are there affordable visa friendly schools in houston and los angeles? 3) What will the embassy and the schools be requiring from me? 4) The travel agent said I can still travel this year, is that possible? 5) I'm new to these, what do I need to know/do to have a hitch-free application and acceptance?
Thanks in anticipation From Bsc degree to Ond degree... That travel agent dont like you at all.. I guess the VO will just laugh at you |
