technolee: Big lie. I know of someone that finished @ 12. Even myself, I finished @ 14. Ai rin jina, ni ko je ki ari abuke okere! Bro are you saying this 12 years old started primary school one at the age of 1 or 2 years And at 6months old (s)he can read and write.. Lol... Trust me that's not the real age of that person and the person cant be 12 although 14 years is okay... Even the sons and daughters of Prof. Wole Soyinka and late Chinua Achebe did not finish at the age of 12... Maybe the theory will be on double promotion and packaging which is the most common lies now. |

And is the interview done 'first come, first served'?
Thanks. You can go with it now because there is place now where you can keep your belongings but you will pay for it.. I think is the army post that place is located.. |

portelli: Pls anyone in the house who knows the direction of the US embassy Lagos from Orile ? If you take commercial bus they will drop you at cms and you walk up to the traffic light and turns right and cross to the other side you will see those buses going to VI this should be before 6.30am, but if its not 6.30am just walk down to the pedestrian bridge and you see them there. When you board it just tell the you will drop at check point and when you get there cross to the other side and you will see the embassy car park the keep going straight or you ask people at the gate post the embassy. If you take BRT their last bus stop is at that pedestrian bridge after Leventis bus stop. N.B-- kindly be careful and look left and right when crossing to the other side. |

DrCaleb: Hi room In filling the section 11 of the I-20 form, what name do one start with? Is it one's surname or first ( which one comes first ). And what date to be precise should be written on d I-20. Thanks in anticipation. Any date you want if possible the date you having your interview is not bad because some people who forget to fill that section are always asked to do it that day. You start with your first name or surname and it depend on your choice. |

Hope it won't pose any complaint by the VO Your school is stingy and dont have money to buy enough A4 paper to print your admission letter along side with your I-20.. Why would they send it to your email for you to print it when other school print it out and add it together with I-20.. I cant laugh here oo.. Even CC will print admission letter along side I-20 |

DrCaleb: Hi house, my admission notification was sent via email and was not posted to Me by mail. Hope it won't pose much concern. Was anybody's admission letter sent via email alone. Tnx as u reply. Are you saying your I-20 documents was sent via email? LOl... That was wrong. They are talking about mail and not email if i am not wrong because no school will send your documents via email but mail which is postal mail or regular. Maybe they just sent you a scanned copy to confirm it before they will mail it out via courier or regular mail.. Ask you school for the real mailing one |

portelli: Thank you for ur response. But if I follow that procedure, the no 1 problem there, will be that I will loose my appointment date. See, I want a way that I can change my ds160 code without loosing my appointment date. If I take my new ds160 to the embassy at the date of my interview, which is before DEC 1 , can it be amended there? If you go to embassy with incorrect ds160 confirmation code, automatically you will lose your appointment date according to the new warning they sent and it wont be amend there... You must change your ds160 before your interview date so as not to lose you appointment date and visa fee |

sirRiddy: ...................Hello guys,
I am a medical doctor married with two kids. I graduated about three years ago and currently a practitioner. I intend to further my studies in the United states via a masters program in public health. The facts are:
1. I presently have a valid b2b1 visa to the states, have visited thrice. 2. My 'real' intention is eventual migration with my family after completing my education. 3. I have secured a visiting visa for my family.
The questions bothering me are thus: 1. Should I go to US and do the processing of my admission or stay back here in Nigeria and do it? Which is felicitous for my intentions? 2. Can I write uslme, then change my 'visit' status to an f1 visa? Is this possible or legal? 3. After the first year of masters programme, can I take like 2 years leave of absence to work and gather money for the second year tuition fee ? Please, I am totally verdant to the whole 'student visa' process, so please pardon my somewhat ridiculous questions, if they seem that way to you...................
imperiouxx, bigfrancis1, ebdib, msnas, zeezahbee, slimmy, walspring and every other guru here, Abeg make una help me lend mouth for this matter. This is for a brother of mine. What is the best advice you have for him? You cant write uslme as your stated to change your status because you will have to come to Nigeria and do your F1 interview it will be better for you to stay back and do it from Nigeria ( Remember, it can get very, very expensive to go to school in the U.S., especially considering the work restrictions that come with student visas.) culled from one of the VO posts on their thread. |

The summary of the message the embassy sent yesterday simply means that there are alot of people who visits the embassy for their interview with wrong ds160 confirmation and they always allow they to do their interview that same day but it seem they corrected and updated it for them on their interview date which is the same day they appeared at the embassy.
Now, they are sending a warning that they wont do that if that kind of scenario happens again and you are advised to contact them to correct and update your new ds160 confirmation before you proceed to their embassy for your interview.
For those who will like to update their new ds160 confirmation after submitting and filling ds160 form before no need to panic, All you have to do it to send them email via feedback and they will update it for you with 2-3 days highest.
Cheers!!! Cheers!!! Cheers!!! |
