13, There is nothing like first come first serve (maybe you are the first to send me PM or quote me here it doesn't mean you are selected automatically)

Hello everyone. I need suggestions please

*I was unable to write the january SAT for some reasons but i want to write the next SAT for march 11 with the aim of having a high score for scholarship purpose but someone told me TOEFL is better. How true is this cos i felt TOEFL Is only meant for knowing an applicant's English ability/proficiency.

*Also, i need ideas from those who have written SAT on how to ace it (I've downloaded study materials and started studying vigorously. I'm also following the thread for TOEFL but there seems to be none for SAT on nairaland).

I can't write the 2 exams due to financial reasons hence my post. I would really appreciate everyone's suggestion.

SAT is basically on SS1 to SS3 syllabus for the maths section and if you practice all those Algebra, Probability, Geometry, Mean, Median and Mode and so on am sure you will scale through..

Go and get Barron text book and it will help you alot..

@bold... I will advice you to go and check back online because March edition for SAT is not available for Nigeria or international applicants the last time i check but you can continue your preparation ahead for May edition

You can defer as long as you like but be wise when deferring more that once so that you won't tagged as unserious student and some school policy might be that you pay new application fee in every deferment while other schools can allow you to deferment free for first time and second deferment you pay for it.

If you defer within America and you didn't leave American during the deferment duration, for you to resume back will not be possible since you will will submit I94 form or so when resuming back..

One of F1 visa rules states that you leave American after you defer and your international student office will tell you that as well so that it won't back fire on them..

Yes and it depend on her if she can convince the VO that she is a geninue applicant for student visa just like the same advice the VO posted to someone in the previous 2-3 pages if you check

You can defer after getting your visa while in Nigeria but can't defer once you enter US.

It can be defer once he entered USA but he must leave US after deferment which is the condition attached to it

Yes it possible to defer from here after getting visa but if you get to TrumpCity and defer then you must leave there immediately which is part of the F1 visa rules, failure to do so will leads to punishment
