@ kuwena, I am afraid when people say that- not because they mean it but because of what it might result into. Please remember God loves you always and has your best interests at heart. Ask for His forgiveness as a father, mother and a God. Please do this before being chastised by Him. I have been before and believe you me, its not funny. Everything went from good to terrible because I complained about what I had. You are destined for greatness. Nothing can stop you - not NLNG. However you may stop/limit yourself with your attitude. When all is lost, never lose your faith cos it will carry you through the worst of times(like this). You have the right to ask God why this had to happen and He will answer you. I have learnt to be real with Him and pour out to Him my frustrations and believe you me, I get answers. I am closing for today. I can get flights convenient for me to take only a day off so Im taking a night bus to KD tomorrow and coming back by day bus! Gotta go now. Peace everyone |
@ opoks I think thats well said |
@ everyone, how is the week going? @ Kuwena, I hesitate to post directly what I have too say. I would prefer to call you up. I have been partways where you've been even though not to that magnitude. My uncles too swapped on everything and I cant even recognize any of my first cousins to know how bad it is. I am happy today that I can put a smile on my mother's and family's faces. @ opokonwa, I was at NLNG today and advised I 'waka' to Kaduna straight or produce my last invitation sent to Ibadan. Dont think I will be able to go to Ibadan for now so I am off to KD tomorrow. You could actually try calling to confirm names; I was there when someone did today. Medical tests are still being done and are in batches. I saw the comprehensive pass list but couldnt confirm names on the list - dont even know most folk real names on nairaland. Anyway, the verification forms of results and references will go out soon. Will confirm date of resumption possibly by break tomorrow. I asked someone to please find out. Have a great day |
@ Zhia2000, Lemme guess, did you have your interview on the 11th/12th july? If so then I guess I should know you. Anyway have a great weekend everyone. I'm out @ opoks, you are truly great @tommytex, Its only a matter of time before you actually look back and wonder at what God has in mind for you |
@ adrianic, I am really touched by your post. Actually, my dad died when I was in JSS2 so its my mum, I always pray to put a smile on her face. She's the best. @ everyone, it was assumed I was still serving at kebbi even though my last letter was sent to Ibadan, this as God would have it was sent to Intercontinental Bank, Kebbi state. I called and I was told to come along yesterday for a letter addressed to a hospital in lagos since I am in lagos. I meant there a bit of waiting still to be done as I was told to come back on monday. However I might just fly to Kaduna tomorrow to do it. @tommytex, sincerely, I know no one and two of my friends I can vouch for. We only looked to God as we/I have always done. Thats whats brought me this far. @ zhia, your medical cannot be more than one day. There are some forms you'll need to fill and submit. The problem which I am also facing is the fact that most laboratories dont open on saturdays so please confirm before you come down the name of the hospital and if they open at weekends. I assume resumption is January but I 'll ask when I go to NLNG office on monday Have a great weekend everone WIll keep you posted |
opoks reloaded! How is the day going? You already have me holding my sides. I was at NLNG yesterday and was told to come on Monday for the revised medical letter. That seems to indicate that there's still some wait. Have a great day |
Good mornin everyone. How's the week so far? Just checking up on the thread. Going for my medicals today. Have a blessed day |
@ igwedanik, How's life with you? Hope you remember me. thanks for helping out with information. Would also appreciate if I could have it as I applied. My email is dlari2001@gmail.com |
@ adrianic, Good to have you post today. I am about to close after a long day. Just thought to say good night to everyone. Tomorrow comes with God's refreshing love, favour and grace upon us |
Hi everyone, Seeing the posts today, I couldnt but wonder at the 'manner' of talented but yet humble people we have on this thread. Keep the fire burning, keep the friendship on so that even if we leave with nothing, we will be proud of the associations and friendships forged on this thread. Catch ya later! |
@ opoks, Its not that way. My post was so short because I was really 'UNDER'. Took kuwena's call enroute dining room thats why I could pick the call. Preparing my reports now and just saw your posts. Thought to tell the house that Kuwena sent his regards, that was why i was so brief. Posted earlier on today. Gotta getb back to work but not before wishing everyone the best of God in all these |
@ everyone Just spoke to kuwena. He says hi and asked about the thread. |
Good morning everyone, Believe there will be more good news today. I took ill yesterday and so had to go home at 2pm - Malaria. Anyway, I called NLNG office today about my Medical being fixed for Kaduna and was told when I retrieve the letter, I should come to their office for a fresh one. Saying this in case there's anyone in my shoes. It also means urgently can still be on till like friday. So peeps, keep hoping ![]() |
@ opoks, @ adrianic, Thanks so much. I feel so loved. You guys are the best. I wish we had been friends before NLNG brought us together. I expect your letters along with you. @ opoks, sorry was with my in-charge and I'm kinda keeping things quiet here so thats why I was reserved. Will call later to celebrate with you and believing that by then you would have gotten yours |
@ everyone, I am screaming and jumping. I just got called from my former place of work; Intercontinental Bank, Kebbi State after leaving for two months now that they received a letter from NLNG for my medical test at kaduna and asking where they could forward it to. I wonder because my last letter was sent to Ibadan. Bottom line; I have been invited. Congratulations to the others guys and for those waiting like I was till ( am this morning; KEEP THE FAITH ALIVE Great day. |
@ kuwena, its good to have you back111 ![]() Hi everyone, its another lovely day and as we await our letters, I wish you all a fulfilling day |
@ everyone Just finished speaking to kuwena. @opoks, He says he'll call you soon |
@ opoks, Seems you've got an admirer. The things NLNG does, well ![]() |
@ biolabee I disagree with you. For a company to ask you to go for medicals it means you are almost employed. It commits itself by that action and they pay quite a tidy sum of money to Hospitals on each person. That's why its the last stage. Barring any earthshaking case, disease or sickness, you are are almost definitely taken as long as your medical tests declare you fit and would not impede your work in any way. Most companys especially those of international standards dont even discriminate against 'terminal diseases' like HIV and the likes as they have policies on it that allows for a merit -driven system. If you are fit to work then you work simple as long as you are qualified and meet all their minimum requirements. You didnt answer opoks question biolabee; have you gotten your letter? |
'Ba masala' is the Hausa phrase(Kebbi side) for 'no problem' 'Ba Magana' means in yoruba 'Ko soro' and well within my limited vocabulary of English means 'No comments, No issues, No more talk etc' |
@ opoks, I concur with you; even though I feel tense, even though my imagination and patience have been stretched to the limit, even though the indications around me make me want to reconsider my belief but no sir, I still feel hope, I feel joy and I still believe that somewhere out there my letter commeth. Have a great day man and have fun. Kuwena has another training test today. Say a prayer for him. @ everyone, It doesnt hurt to have hope after all, what can you lose now ![]() |
@ johnsonlaw Definitely, if you pass a medical test, its not possible for a company to drop you again. The invitation to medical test is in itself a kind of commitment to employing you subject to you being medically and physically fit. It cost them a 'large' mite and so if you've done it and passed. Just relaxxxxxx Getting ready to leave work. its been such a long day |
@ everyone sorry the last line should read ' our responses only show how anxious and human we are. |
'Ba magana' @ runsaway, thanks for the information. our responses only |
@ opoks, just finished talking with adrianic. says you talked to him a while ago. I am still under @ runsaway, so good to know such a classification exists but its of no use if you cant confirm from anyone. A friends's friend got his letter today and so the wait goes on. |

@ everyone, Good morning. @ runsaway, like Opoks said, its too early to throw in the towel. Keep hope alive. You never know, Just getting to work and couldnt resist peeking at the thread. @ Opoks, tried you when I got home yesterday but I guess you were 'fast awake'. A 07034036354 missed called should be on your phone. Anyhow great day. look forward to talking later on today. Couldnt reach Kuwena yesterday; guess they have a test today at training school. Alright, I am online but off to 'caging monkeys on a lovely thursday morning while I wait for me NLNG letter'. I can only scream the 'Kuwenic victory chant; NLNG BRING MY LETTER O!' |
