Congratulations to those who have received their letters. A colleague of mine at KPMG too just got called from his house that his letter had arrived.

For people like me who are expectant, lets keep praying and hoping know that God has the best in mind for us.

For people again like me with untraceable addresses, I suggest you call FEDEX soon and asked them to kindly call you immediately they get correspondence for you to salve the tension

We 'kuku' dey here. I just had a quick opportunity to browse.I am at KPMG training school exploring my plan B having left intercontinental Bank. Only God knows the number of 1st class guys here.

Read up on things I have missed and I can see our letters will soon arrived. We are almost at thwe end of our long wait. I smell victory.

Hi everyone, sorry I was missing for a while. Was busy relocating from Kebbi state and packed every bit and dime I had to Ibadan. So dear Jill , I am no longer 'our good friend from Kebbi but now from IB/Lagos. Guess I will need to update my profile.

I took a one week leave from IB plc and packed and I am not going back! My plan B worked out as I had my medical tests at KPMG yesterday and will resume for induction and training on sunday. Plan C(Intercontinental Bank) is hereby abandoned for plan B, Plan A commeth soon (NLNG)

Well I believe NLNG is also losing a dedicated, talented and creative fellow in me if they dont offer me a career. Threading the path of the great Kuwena, kenosky, Tolagbaju , I made a first class in Economics with a CGPA of 6.3 from University of Ibadan and also finished as the best graduating student in my faculty 2005/2006. I did everthing from fellowship exco, Press and Journalism, Public speaking, Student leadership, Tutorials, exchange programmes amonst others and somehow God gave me the grace to survive. Like Kuwena says, Economics is something I could do without effort and without been paid for.

I will most likely be missing for a while because of KPMG training but will try to follow the thread.

I am sorry I went off the thread like that. I guess I understand better what @tiffanyane and @jill say when they talk about just managing to grab enough time to read their mails with no time to reply.

I must confess that I read with rapt attention two days ago the hot exchange between @adrainic and @opokonna, and also admired the way differences in opinion was resolved. It goes to show that on this thread, we are a family. @kuwena, you are really the grandmaster, peacemaker………, guess I admire you more for your position on the whole saga.

@ everyone, its been a week of faith. I cant say how much I am anticipating my letter. As people who are together with me in having addresses that are untraceable and expect a call from Fedex would testify, my phone battery is always well charged and I grab for it anytime it rings.

My strong belief even despite my anxiety is that IT WILL SURELY COME( Both the letter and the Fedex call)

@ Kuwena, you never cease to inspire me. I guess I am one of your converts from an observer who just reads to someone who contibutes. Infact, I registered for Nairaland because of this thread. Make sure you take things easy, after what I experienced last week and early this week, I 'gree say body no be wood'

The week draws to a close; for different people it means different things; for us its just a day closer to the realization of our dreams. God does make dreams come true and has made all things beautiful in its time. This is our time. Let us this accept the challenges, the anxiety, the expectations for it shall only increase the exhilaration of the victory He giveth.

How is everyone doing? I just completed a grand slam of traveling moving from Kebbi to Ibadan, to Lagos, to Abuja and back to Kebbi in just FOUR DAYS! That's why I have been offline for a while.

@Kuwena, I agree with you wholeheartedly that God bless Erastus Akingbola but we seek and desire something else. I had my final KPMG interview on friday and thank God it was wonderful. Have you started your leave yet?

@Everyone whose heart is beating as fast as mine in anticipation of the good things to come this last two weeks of August, I say hold on "For the God that calleth the things that are not as though they were" has called our employment to come to pass. Are you going in for the first, second, third or fourth stage of the interview?

Anyway, I assume the 1st so prepare to be interviewed based on the appication for graduate trainee form you submitted earlier. Also expect general questions from human resources about your psche, personality and motivation.

The other satges are streamlined to your preferred areas such as meeting a supervisor, manager and lastly a partner in that area ie BAS, FAS, Tax and audit etc.

It feels so good to be finally free of NYSC having served faithfully for eleven month. You can best imagine the exhilaration of victory I experienced after the parade and collected my certificate of National Service. Thank God its finally over. After NYSC, I believe for us in this forum, the next step is NLNG and like a little child learning its first steps and hanging on to his/her father, let's take this next next step in our career.

KONGrats to ex-corpers and CELEBRATE please!

I had a pleasant surprise on the parade ground when KPMG called me for my last stage in the interview, it really set the tone of my subsequent life after service rolling.

NLNG, To LAGOS!

I think Kuwena must have transferred the malaria bug to me because I just recovered from a serious bout.
The count down towards the D-day continues. The faith I have is come August 26th or September, I am resuming for duty at THE COMPANY. The time frame to me matters little for I know God has made everything beautiful in its own time (including my dream job)

@ Kuwena, I sincerely cannot say exactly when training school commences; you know intercontinental bank and their policy and decision shifts! A serving friend at Gombe however says that there will be a batch in september and the 'scope' is to get your discharge certificate to regional office ASAP. Hope you are getting set to PASS OUT in grand style.

Yep, our appraisals have been seen but I have always known that a banking job is just a passing phase for me, my sights are set higher and I would like nothing better than to be able to use my initiative and creativity in a wide range of duties which I wont find in a bank mostly. Guess we must have been in the same room during the interviews of November 17th or 18th last year.

As per my job function, I am an Economist and being an analytical and strtegic thinker, I see myself in the Research and Planning Unit (or something related to this)
