I completely agree with you. I told a friend a few days ago that this will be the outcome. He said it will not happen. I spent a few minutes with Saraki in 2006 and i came away with a feeling of a very calculating persona with very high political ammbitions. It played out with is father, it is playing out with the APC. For me this is very good for us as a nation. I look forward to the intrigues and the "countertrigues" in the next four years.

President Buhari will have to learn fast on the business of politiking. There were many hands in the emergence of Bikola Saraki :
1. The Atiku group : As a way of proving themselves and positioning themselves against next presidentia election. Atiku's heart is a mobile one and will roost in any party that will guarrannttee his long held dream of becoming the president. The essence of this coup is to position themselves to be relevant and be at a vantage position to negotiate position for influencial posts and escape corruption probes. Ultimately, its reducing ACN's stronghold on PMB and position for 2019

2. The Ex-Governors group : These are former governors some of whom also have presidential hopes ahead like Kwankwasor and the PDP guys. Their own is to immune themselves against any anti grafts that may be too tough to handle when EFCC begin to work.
Another subgroup include Tambuwal and the young guns who want to reduce the influence of Tinubu so as to send signal to PMB that he need to reckon with them.

I make bold to say that it was not the politiking of PDP but that of these power brokers that are trying to strategize for two core reasings of grabbing power especially if PMB wont be contesting in 2019 and to escape activities of anti graft agencies.

Tinubu should just take things easy and learn about national politics. He should draw Fashola closer and let him get a good rapport with the President because none of these players can defeat him in 2019 if he should stand. He will be good as Chief of Staff or even SGF or Energy Minister. He should support those from his camp already in the good books of Buhari and help them to succeed like Fayemi while he must place smart by taking the battle to PDP in their base.
Nigerians want dividents of democracy and anything short of that will rubbish all his achievements. Period.

And for one Arsenal supporter, failing to get a ticket in the usual way didn't stop him from going to the very top to try to get what he wanted.

When Charlie Pearce couldn't get his hands on a couple of the 25,000 tickets allocated to the Gunners for the big game, he wrote to Her Majesty the Queen to see if there was anything she could do to help.

The Queen has been to the FA Cup Final before - her very first football match was the 1953 Blackpool - Bolton Wanderers game, where Blackpool eventually triumphed 4 - 3.

After their victory last year, Arsenal are hoping to retain the trophy, but unfortunately for Mr Pearce, The Queen wasn't able to help him get to Wembley to watch their efforts.
However, he wasn't necessarily expecting the reply he received on behalf of Her Majesty, which said his request had been "carefully noted". Buckingham Palace has confirmed that the letter is genuine. See below for the full text.

I think the most important change will have to be us. We need a complete change of orientation. After May 29th things will get progressively worse (as they have to) before we begin to see some traction of development in Y2 or Y3. Q1 will be especially unbearable.
The amount of dirt and grime and our financial hemorrhaging during this administration will mean that the administration from May29 will have to take long and hard decisions that will not be popular. As an example no sane government will sustain subsidies on Petroleum products; the subsidies should rightly be applied to Agriculture and manufacturing (not assembling o). Again our over bloated work force needs to be cut to size and retrained or completely overhauled.
These are not very easy decisions to make. It will require Nigerians to understand and not listen to the propaganda and noise that will accompany these revoreforms (revolutionary reforms).
So please let it be slow abeg.

A lot of what the media tells us is hog wash..Abacha was the best head of state bar his human right records. This picture tells a lot of what the world powers did to Abacha that day..Arafat was used to poison him. The "apple" and prostitute story na wash. There was an international conspiracy to do away with Abacha for:
1. He wanted to expose the shame of a high ranking clergy in the catholic church (Vatican trembled and the pope had to pay him a visit in the name of the beautification of Blessed Cyprian Michael Iwene Tansi. Abacha refused his overtures and the pope decreed a death sentence for him.
2. The growing Nigeria economy despite the sanctions became a nightmare for Europe and America. His foray into nuclear energy and his quest for total economic independence meant that Nigeria will be at par with Europe, developed Asia, North America, and Latin America. This was unacceptable to the west. His vision 2020 was an obsession. He once said in private: " I want( U.S.A President) Clinton to call me Sir". He wanted Nigeria to be better than the UAE and will stop at nothing to achieve that goal.
3. Abacha's anti west posture and his friendship with America's enemy meant that a new power block will emerge. This new power block if combined with Russia, China, Iran and the other nations considered as rouge nations will become the dominant determining economic block. Nigeria's rise under a dictator like Abacha spelt doom for the West.
The west made a deal with Arafat and there we have it. Abacha died and so did Arafat. Arafat was used and dumped and we celebrated. Too bad!

Let us put it in perspective: I live in Aguda, Surulere; my office is off Adeniran Ogunsanya street, Surulere. Distance between this 2 points (as the crow flies) is about 2.4Km. I have repeatedly made that walk to the office in less than 30mins.Most times leisurely. My point? 160km can be done in less than 13hrs. I have also walked from Iponrin (Ebutte-Meta) to Ajose Adeogun (V.I) an 11-12km stretch (again as the crow flies) in less than 3hours. I still trek long distances. His story is very believable,very achievable within the 20 days.

I don't get your point at all. The girl is meeting with the President..THE PRESIDENT! that is the highest office in Nigeria and yes it is about the election for Christ sake! That office requires some decorum and respect. It is either of these two things 1. The Presidency has become so cheap that the aura of that office and the significance of the Seal is lost on our Generation or 2.
