It’s really a shame.

Almost 10 years since this was posted, far worse tribalistic issues which can be traced down to the formational years of Nigeria.

I’m now a young adult in England, in a sane and functional environment, wondering how my home country couldn’t get it right. My resort on long nights like this has been to comb through old archives and records that should have been taught in the foundation years at elementary.

There's a lady called aphrodite007 that was based in the UK. She also said the same thing and she was a tech recruiter. She said for every one tech sponsorship job there's like 15 care jobs available and many guys had to do care jobs cause they couldn't get tech jobs. You can search her username on nairaland.

I also think it also boils down to the person's record. I know a lady that went there for a short school program, she got heavily involved in developer school programs like Google’s GDG and DSU alongside Facebook’ DevC stuff.. By the time she was done she had a lot of recruiters on her neck for offers.

For me, I’ll just keep my current remote jobs through school since my company is in the US not UK. Only downside is that I can’t enjoy the benefit of location-based pay or renegotiate since I’m unofficially there.
