Good for you.
Just know you can earn beyond with 16k fuel. You are just settling for the less.

Their office is at that Edmund Crescent. They will not accept any negotiation. I've picked a woman at that Lastma office on Edmund Crescent that Lastma billed 200k for one way.

She said her driver was driving on Montgomery road and turned left at the end of the road to join Herbert Macaulay Way. They clearly saw the no left turn sign there and she told the driver not to turn but he did and the car was impounded. Those people at Yaba are taking you to their office straight.

Last week Friday, I picked a rider inside the Lastma office, Oshodi. Her Lexus 350 was impounded at Mile 12 because she stopped on the service lane to buy pineapple and those task force hilux blocked her.

When they asked her to settle, she said she only had 5k to give, they refused and booked her 50k in their office.

This woman works with civil defense but those Lastma guys didn't send her ID card.

So, it's not about being an ehailing driver or not, they impound any and every car. I've even seen them hold Gwagon on that bridge heading to Ojota from Maryland.
Should have used mcniel road instead
But private vehicles dey use that end of Montgomery road link herbert maucauly normal normal but you must be familiar with the lastma officials there. Na only public bus fit use that lane and won't be touched.

That woman whey park for road buy stuffs, what an abnormal behaviour. Normalcy as regards such act must be restored, I'm not sorry for her.

As someone that drives in ibadan, possibility of him making 40k from 16k fuel is 50/50 and also the kind of car he uses, maybe Toyota yaris or any small car and also his negotiating power because even me, if I buy fuel 10k into my car. I must make times 2 of it if not times 3.
I don't pick any ride and any ride I pick I will negotiate and if you are not ok I cancel it. Because I will let you know that where am taking you to, there is no guarantee that I wíll see ride after I drop you and I will let you know that even Okada will not collect the amount on the app to the destination.
Ibadan minimum rude is 1700 with a bonus of 300 to 400 and they expect driver to go and pick a rider and drop a rider for 1300 when 1 litre of fuel is 1k, is better the rider takes bike or maruwa if he's not ready to add at least 800 upward.
This is Valid
For someone like me that does like to negotiate
I just accept the trip and moove on till I'm done with whatever It is that took me to ibadan

Ibadan ehailing is not profitable, na waste of time, fuel and resources. Unlike 2023.

You mean you drove left towards the university road from the Herbert Macaulay Way? Were you trying to connect Herbert Macaulay Way to go to Jibowu or what?
I think this was where they nabbed him
That's the only valid one way around yaba tech and unilag at the moment.

He should have negotiated his way out.
That's was sad

Exactly, I don't care about acceptance score so I am very selective in my rides.. 7-10 good rides can fetch me 40k with 16k fuel
Not in ibadan will you make 40k with 16k fuel
I'm not capping
A 20km trip in ibadan is less than 5k gross, not even net. On indrive 4k. The only interesting is that all trips comes with free roads
Except you are using micra as bolt, you can't make 40k with 16k fuel.

Beeori:
Good afternoon,

I’ve been following this thread for a while, and I must say it’s been quite insightful. I’m a young female interested in starting as an Uber driver, and I’m currently doing some research to better understand the field.

I’d love to hear from experienced drivers about the following:

How much can one realistically earn in a day?
What are the key dos and don’ts of being a successful Uber driver?
Why do we see fewer female Uber drivers, and how can I navigate challenges specific to women in this field?
What tips can help maximize earnings and improve the overall experience?
Any advice, personal experiences, or resources would be greatly appreciated.
I would like to know for how long you've been driving
It's not for the weak, you have to be dogged but no road rage or tussle.
It won't always be rossy, there are good days and also bad days.

I feel being a lady, there will be little advantage as passengers will be surprised and tend to tip you alot and they will also want to take advantage of you too( running of fake transfers)

Don't do late night rides, always end all trips by 6pm. Make Google maps your frnd. Ply the routes you are mostly familiar with. Have the mindset that everyone is out there to rip you off. Be smart.
Make sure your vehicle is full functional before setting out inorder not to have a messed up day. Have little mechanical know how of your vehicle.
Make sure all documents are complete and upto date.
Always have cash at hand, confirm payment before letting your passengers go.

Process of Onboaring
Download Bolt drivers app, sign up and follow the prompt, upload all necessary documents that be requested. Not all requested docs are necessary for uploading, the astericed column is a must submit documets. It's a seamless registration process though. You will be updated upon confirmation of all documents, including your drivers licence. You will have 4mnths ride before going for Bolt Car inspection.

Drop the update here as you go bye it, Men are here to help you. Feel free to ask questions here, there are people here to always help out.

Reason why you rarely see female drivers is because of their safety, the kind of society we are is not kind to them when alone in an unfamiliar place. Also the number of hrs worked in a day will impact your profit for that day. I don't think a lady can go 6hrs stretch driving and navigating unfamiliar routes.

I salute your decision to join this hustle but pls note that when the money comes in a bit or huge, always find an escape route before you get trapped in. It's fun but learn to keep your cool when the frustrating times and passengers comes.

Lolz... If u prosper with this mentality, it's just a matter of time... Kama will catch up with u and that millions u amarsed at the expense of another person's investment, sweat, tears and regret will be wasted by someone else too...
What always guides me is ask myself, this thing I want to do, if someone did it to me will I be happy or if the person knew what I was doing, will they approve of it?
Its for actions like this I put a clause in my contracts that "costs/damages due to drivers action or negligence will be the responsibility of the driver"
I was just stating obvious instances, so the lady can know few drivers' acts and how to preserve her property and negotiations.

You can state your opinion without that gross first and second paragraph. All yall result to is curses and abuses that don't hold waters. Most drivers will do all I said while using the vehicle like its theirs, and still make it in life regardless.

Do all you need to do to guide your property and investments jealousy.

Does this scenario not applicable to those still remitting a ridiculous amount weekly? It all boil down to individual mindset and maintenance culture or will remitting 35k weekly stop him from abusing the car?
It won't
I'm just saying we shouldn't use the yardstick of others are making for example 200k net weekly to judge him for remitting 35k.

Like someone said @HelenaWills take the Odometer readings to see the KM covered by him weekly then draw your conclusions.

There are times i will see a good trip to a distance location but the road that leads to the pick up is a turn off, I won't let my personal ride ply such road to pick up. If it was another man's vehicle, let's say the actual Suzuki. I will take the chance. Afterall it's not my car. It's just to meet my target and remit, I won't factor the bad pick up road..

There Re times I will want to drive till 11pm but will pamper my car and stop at 9pm. If it were to be another man's car. I will drive am overnight sef. It's to maintain when needs arises, I will and will make sure I make enough millions from it.

HelenaWills:
Ahh
Don't be moved by the figure been displayed.
Yes it's achievable but driver will have to work extra hours to achieve such. Thereby resulting in a quick deterioration of the car in a long run which you won't like and will spend more on maintenance and will make the other person give the vehicle back to you after almost using it rack for his purpose.

Ask those that are making those figures, most of them the vehicle being used Is not their personal vehicles. After using it to condemnation, they will return and start seeking for another one. No amount of maintenance can return a vehicle to it's original shape.

Just note that the higher the return rate, the higher the work hours and the higher the quick decapitation of your car.

Everyone working hours differs, if he's remitting 35k he might not be working a full day. Meaning he will have long hours of stops and waits. If he's to remit higher amount then he will put it more time of hours to work.

If I know you personally, the way I will use your thing atimes will be different from the way I will use it if i know you from afar.
Be discreet in your decision making without being emotionally. Like someone said 40 to 45k is fair. Not even 60k.

Suicidal thought will come at ones lowest moment on earth but dont give in to it brother.

Losing one's relationship with family and frnds is not the end of the world. If there's Life, also there's hope. We all have one addiction wece battled, battling with yet always find a way out.

As regards the betting, you keep going back to your addiction because you feel it's your only way out and will one day win big (recover all) hence making you lose even more.

Your mind, it has eaten deep into it. Get your mind together and busy on things that matters. Take your discussion away from anything betting... I lost words at this juncture.

Suicide is not an option.
You can start afresh from another edge now and turn out well in time to come. You wil really be a looser if you allow that Suicidal thought overcome you. Everyone has a story to tell, a story of how things turned out to be great. You need to tell yours too.
Please don't commit suicide. Relationship with family might be ruined but they still looking out and up to you...

Very salient tips even for a non-Uber driver. I appreciate.

Abeg, can you shed more light on the emboldened? What is the fine for it? I was caught for it when I started driving in Lagos newly, a few years back. Those taskforce extorted almost 50k from me for it. What could I have done differently? It happened around Oshodi - just on the exit from Oshodi into Agege Road, facing Mushin
I don't know how best to explain but abruptly changing of lane makes you an High risk driver and could cause accident due to how sharp it was and the vehicle coming behind you on the other lane might not see your traffication light in time because he would be too near to notice your change of lane.
Also, mind the right or left exit turning signs on the road. Once you are on a right turning lane but then remember you were suppose to head straight and not turn sideways. Just maintain that right turning lane that you are and find another turning point upfront. If you leave the line to merge onto the upward lane. You've committed a traffic offence which made you put road users like you at risk.

A vehicle coming at a minimum speed on his lane might collide with you if you make that turning. Nor a vehicle by your side wanting to also make a right Turning too might collide with you because he didn't know you had a change of mind to keep going straight.

All is just to ensure safety of all road users.

This administration has caused alot of damages to many businesses

Jos loading for a 30tonnages goods which freight cost used to be btw 1.7 and 2.1million 3mnths ago Is now 2.8 to 3million. If you want to plead for a rate reduction, owner will quote cost of a tyre for you. Which is btw 300k to 500k depending on the size.

Onitsha that used to be 1mill to 1.1mill is now 1.3 to 1.5 million.

It's not like diesels price per ltr increased. It's just because of how last and present administration is ruling this country .

When I'm using 3million to move a 60million worth of goods. After purchase, shipping and custom clearance and tax. What will now be the company profit?? A bad business I think. Nigeria companies are just thriving, more will fold up soon if things continues like this.
