Billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola has promised to sponsor a little girl’s education to her university level for singing DJ Cuppy’s new song Gellato.

Femi Otedola took to his official social media account to share a video of a little girl playing the piano singing DJ Cuppy’s Gellato song and he has now promised to see her through school up to her university level.

He wrote;

Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing proved herself a good friend of Toyin Abraham after she went all out to help in organizing the naming ceremony for their newborn baby boy.

The ceremony which was fully packed with friends and well-wishes, had many people in joy and ecstatic over the actress' new status as a mom.

Marvel Studios has announced the release date for Black Panther 2. The highly anticipated sequel will officially hit theatres on May 6th, 2022.

Marvel made this announcement at Disney’s D23 Expo on Saturday, August 24. Director Ryan Coogler will return to the franchise. Kevin Feige invited Ryan Coogler to the D23 stage to announce the highly anticipated sequel.

The first Black Panther film, released in 2018, was a massive hit, and biggest solo superhero movie for Marvel in history.

After several months of rumors and social media banter, Sonia Morales, the estranged wife of Nollywood actor and model, IK Ogbonna, has just announced the end of their marriage.

The couple got married in 2015 and together, they have a son, Ace.

Announcing the end of their short lived marriage, Sonia took to Instagram this morning to say;

'this is a hard letter to write as i am pretty sure I will cry my way through this post. I know i should have said all these a long time ago, but back then, i was just weak and could not think straight because i was busy struggling to make things right the best possible way within and even beyond my capacities'.

A friend of mine asked me the other day if I had written a goodbye letter to my former life, my memories, my ex. When she brought the idea up, I got immediate chills and a touch of anxiety.I wonder why that is.

I used to have a very different life. I had a husband and a family. I had someone who lived here and i felt loved me full time. I had a future I was counting on. A lifetime of companionship, family vacations, milestones, laughter, and love but all to no avail as i felt deflated for many years and now its all gone.

In the past, I have blogged about stuff as it comes up, but no real goodbyes yet.

Many times i felt miserable on the inside and cried my life out day and night in my room alone but as time went on, i outgrew the my reality i was passing through the years.

I want to use this medium to thank my ex-husband for not prolonging the hardship and now i have to face the world on my own. Our son will forever be a representation of you in my life.. Thank you for the lessons you taught me over the years. I wasn’t sure what to write, who to write to or what my angle would be.

But I know who I need to say goodbye to now with certainty.

Lastly, without hate or animosity, i look back at the past five years and all i can do is thank you. Thank you for the good times, for the hard times. Thank you for helping to shape the strong person I am today and for being a part of my life for a small slice of time.

Earlier today, A fire Outbreak has just occurred at The entrance gate of University of Lagos (Unilag).

A Bus Belonging to the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA parked in front of the School gate went up in flames with explosions shortly after the driver alighted.

Eye witnesses in the scene however reported that the fire department of the University of Lagos later took over the scene to put off the fire.

However no casualties were recorded.

Report has it that another building has collapsed in Lagos. According to reports, a building located at No 57, Egerton square in Alakoro area, Lagos Island, just collapsed moments ago.

It was gathered that many people are still trapped in the rubble as rescue mission by residents and sympathizers is underway.

This is coming after a school building collapsed at Itafaji area of Lagos Island on Wednesday, March 13th.

Over 20 residents including pupils of a Nursery/Primary School operating within the building lost their lives while tens of others were rushed to different hospitals on Lagos Island on Wednesday.

University of Ilorin have confirmed the death of Adigun Emmanuel Olawale, a final year student who reportedly committed suicide after failing his final year project.

According to the statement released by the Dean, Faculty of Agriculture , University of Ilorin the deceased did not carry out any project neither did he present any seminar for grading. However, he was known to be a depressed student.

RE: DEATH OF ADIGUN EMMANUEL OLAWALE BY SUICIDE

I refer to the news circulating in the electronic media concerning a spill over student in the department of agronomy (Adigun Emmanuel Olawale 13/10AC061) who committed suicide last week, Claiming that his supervisor refused to grade his project because he (the student) plagiarized. The statement further claimed that (i) it was only the project that was outstanding against him and (ii) that his CGPA will drop from Second Class Upper Division (2:1) to Second class lower division(2:2) on account of the refusal of the supervisor to accept his project.

More disturbing and worrisome are the uncomplimentary remark being made about the late student supervisor by some of our colleagues without finding out the truth

Below are the facts about the late student;

(i) He was for the most part, Never stable, did not carry out any project neither did he present any seminar for grading
(ii) He was a depressed student and threw members of staff including his project supervisor in the department that assisted him to get over the problem through counseling and financial assistance
(iii) One of the senior Academic staff in the department -Professor O.B Fawole, actually play a prominent role in stabilizing him by arranging for one month rehabilitation programme for him. upon his return from the center, she (Mrs Fawole) continued to assist Him.
(iv) At the request of the professor (Mrs.) Fawole, His name was on the list of the five (5) students submitted to Dean Student’s Affairs for accommodation by the Dean office
(v) In order for him to take advantage of the bed space. Prof Fawole actually transferred money to his account to enable him pay for his tuition fee when he complained that the parent refused to pick his calls.
(vi) All this efforts are known to his family and
(vii) His spread sheet also revealed that apart from his project, he still has six courses ( AGY 502, AGY 506, AGY 520, AGY 526, ANP 513, and STA 433) outstanding against him.

As at Yesterday, University Administration has been presented with the correct information about the student, which is also being presented above
