Florence was the first capital of Italy, it was a centre of medieval European trade and finance and one of the wealthiest cities of that era. It is considered by many academics to have been the birthplace of the Renaissance. Florence is also known for its brown roofs.
I spot a great resemblance in these two great cities

Moreover Jebba which is after ilorin is still a Yoruba town with Yoruba king from then till date |

SSFeedsNigeria: That was when Awolowo arrived Lagos after Ojukwu released him. Nigeria was operating a confederation then. Each region controlled their affairs and paid certain percentage of income to the center. Even Ojukwu stopped paying that when things deteriorated. If Gowon couldn’t force Ojukwu to pay tax that was even constitutionally binding, it was to release Awolowo that he will take order from Gowon?
Even military and police personnel of Northern extraction were forced to leave East. But you believe Gowon in Lagos still had authority over Eastern region?!
To whom brain is given, sense is expected!! Awolowo had issues with fed govt not South east, ojuku never had power to release fed prisoner because Gowon was the head of state. He was released a year before the war so ojuku never had any power on him, stop thinking slow |

chopnaira: He tried, he humbled himself when he informed Zik after the election that he wouldn't mind being the deputy PM or Finance minister, while Zik becomes the PM if they formed a coalition. Zik was also scared, he knew he won't be able to established his Igbonization agender if Awo is given the slightest power, he didn't see north as treat then. Western region was and is still the Goliath they want to overcome. |

abdeefggh: Hmm Nigeria Cooperate 001 is Dangote 002 is BUA Then landlord is baba Buhari AA is Atiku Lagos is Tinubu Heirs Glo/Elumelu/Otedola
Dangote and Buhari favored Atiku and thought he would win, but BUA supported Lagos. Elumelu indirectly supported Lagos by supporting elupee so that elupee will divide Atiku's vote
OO1 and former landlord miscalculated, Lagos outsmarted them.. There will be another OO1 very soon now that there is another Landlord Truly Buhari didn't want to handover to Southerner, he preferred to hand over to another fulani which is very absurb. That's why they did that Naira design nonsense, it's worked abit in Lagos during the presidential election untill the Governorship election when ellupee people were feeling on top of the world for nothing |
Politics › Re: Decline Of Northern Nigeria & Why Tinubu Is Going For The Jugular by waynetee(m): 9:59pm On Nov 19, 2023 |
Odin13: Only kids without knowledge of Nigeria history will type trash about the North and it’s domininace of Nigeria
British gave power to the north till tomorrow.. not to west, east.. but North
For one Nigeria , and unity they allow .. south to power after 8 years and still retain kingmakers and power brokers in Nigeria
Op is still young..
The allegiance to anyone wins becomes the government of the day.. while they can chose to keep any of the south as wives and opposition
This power the south can’t have in a million years as long as Nigeria is concern
Obasnajo with his general uniform .. knee to beg Atiku and elders of the north for another term and yet in his Yoruba wisdom still install in his mind a puppet .. who turned to be a tiger ..
Tinubu must knee and beg at the right time..
His tribalism is being well documented by the north and his dealing with Yoruba cabal against the north is well received by the north
Is just a matter of time.. he come .. and those will be open before him
Mattawale .. Ganduje .. can’t and will never control Arewa .. for the have no loyalties..
As for industrialization.. when the rails are done .. in the north .. you will see those industries steaming back with Tribble force ..
The railway killed those industries ..
North still feed Nigeria till tomorrow .. una think say na those garden call farm for south.
This people are just hallucinating Enlighten yourself, North of 1970 which comprises of Gowon, abacha, danjuma, babangida is different from North of today. Fulani and Kanuri is like yoruba and igbos, both tribalistic. Middle belts are now trying to isolate themselves from North because of the horror fulani herdsmen is unleashing on them. You are just giving imaginary power to imaginary "North". No one listens to fulani again outside northwest, any serious attack on anyone will be end of Nigeria, they can't even try it! stop gaslighting yourself. |

igwebuike01: Do you think this census only counted Igbos in Igboland? This is your greatest mistake, using SE to represent Igbos. The British counted Igbos Nationwide. If Nigeria include ethnicity in census the result will be the same. Nobody can "yorubanize" Igboman who owns a mansion in his village and returns home every Christmas I have more than 10 friends with igbo background who speak Yoruba more than I do and can't even speak igbo |
Politics › Re: Southern Nigeria Population By Tribe 100 Years Ago (1921) by waynetee(m): 1:07pm On Nov 18, 2023 |
Corn247: Weird! Igbos use to be about x2 of Yorubas before but now Yoruba speakers are about x2 of Igbo speakers.
Probably because they move more to Yorubaland and get yoruabanized on daily basis. Yoruba is now the biggest tribe in Nigeria sha. Many people who called themselves Yoruba today were actually Hausas, fulani, nupe, igbos etc who got yoruabanized over time because of Yoruba liberal nature. Many ethnic group will go into exint in next 100 years while the major groups will swell up |

funmijoyb: The biafran war dealt with Igbo's, killing over 3 millions of Igbos. The entire tribe could have been wiped out by Hausa/Fulani's if not for timely response of Victor Banjo that surrendered to a Yoruba man by the name BLACK SCORPION. Unfortunately Ojukwu killed him to raise his Ego. The main commander of the war Gowon and Danjuma was not even Hausa or Fulani..Ojukwe started the war and was hell bent on conquering all other tribes before his cup ran full |
