No the Kikuyu tribe dominate commerce in kenya.

Politics / Is There An Anthropological Connection Between The Igbos And The Luo Of Kenya? by wazobia200: 9:09am On Jan 03, 2011
"Is there an anthropological connection between the Luo of Kenya and the Igbo of Nigeria"?

"These are two major ethnic groups living thousands of miles apart. But surprising similarities exist in their norms, beliefs, values, names of people and places. Both Luo and Igbo are the first to admit the similarities but no one seems to have an explanation.Names such as Okoye,Akomo,Gombe,(Luo,Igbo)Okonkwo(Igbo… Okongo(Luo) mean the same thing in both languages.Akomo means born during a harvest".

Politics / Re: Why The Hatred Of Nigerians? by wazobia200: 8:51pm On Jul 14, 2010
Come to the USA, you will see the same thing. They are so cold towards us now that you see it in their attitudes and mannerism. That was not even so 4-5yrs ago because i remember we were so close knit then and you hardly see any friction.

Then i wonder, WHAT AS REALLY HAPPENED, WHY AS THINGS GONE DOWNSTREAM.
Camerounians and most other africans i meet and interact with dont exhibit the same degree of negativism towards us like ghanians do.

I love ghanaians but i dont know why they hate us so.

How is this going to help Ghana?. Methinks competition is healthy and these companies are paying their taxes.

Very bad move by the ghanaian government. Their economy will soon self destruct.

All those businesses leaving can come and invest in lagos and other states in nigeria.

Politics / The Youngest Doctor In The Uk Is A Nigerian! by wazobia200: 7:33am On May 22, 2010
http://www.flyingdoctorsnigeria.com/news/englands_youngest_doctor_becomes_nigerias_flying_doctor.htm

In the News
England's Youngest Doctor Becomes Nigeria’s Flying Doctor

It was estimated in 1995, that 21,000 Nigerian doctors were practicing in the United States alone, which is about the same as the number of doctors working in the Nigerian public service. There are another 8,000 -10,000 working in the UK.

The medical profession is unique in that it is one of the few professions that, after six hard years of study, is respected, low-risk and that provides and almost guaranteed six-figure salary after specialisation in most of the developed world.

It is therefore not difficult to see why our Nigerian trained doctors are drifting abroad by the hoards in search of better working conditions, job security and of course that sizeable pay packet.

Therefore, it is particularly commendable that Dr Ola Orekunrin, born and bred in England has decided to return to Nigeria to incite change in our healthcare system. Dr Ola Orekunrin is 23 years old and wrote her final medical examinations at 21, emerging as one of the youngest medical doctors in the whole of England. Since then she has published her first book and received many post-graduate training accolades in the fields of trauma and emergency medicine. Last year she was selected from over 100 applicants for the prestigious MEXT fellowship in Tokyo, Japan.

Her company, Flying Doctors Nigeria is the first air ambulance service in the whole of West Africa and is quoted as being "one of the most important healthcare innovations in Nigeria this decade".

There will be no rescue, no intervention for us. We can only save ourselves. Many of you know influential people abroad, you must call
these people. You must tell them what will happen to us,  say goodbye. But when you say goodbye, say it as if you are reaching through
the phone and holding their hand. Let them know that if they let go of that hand, you will die. We must shame them into sending help.

Paul Rusesabagina (Hotel Rwanda, 2004)

"That was the quote that did it for me" CEO Dr Orekunrin said.

"Every time I saw reports about Nigeria on the TV or read about them in magazines, I felt that same sense of shame, knowing that I had the skills and knowledge to make a difference".

"But it wasn’t until my sister died at just 12 years old in Nigeria and I found myself being able to give better healthcare advice over the phone, than could be given in a tertiary Nigerian hospital, that , that same sense of shame pushed me to be that difference".

"So I quit my job, said goodbye to my political aspirations, president of the BMA, minister for the conservative party, sold my car and my house, and brought my one way ticket to Lagos ,  change bound".

She is really doing good for herself.  Nigeria we hail thee!!!
Religion / Re: Why Do Yoruba Movies Promote Babalawos? by wazobia200: 5:50pm On May 19, 2010
Some of you people dont know the inherent and evil nature of the babalawos. Yoruba culture is the best in africa, period!. The story line in most of the movies is way better and superior to the english ones. But babalawos, jujus and all these fetish practices should be done away with.

Do you know how many ppl whose lives, carriers, advancement in life as been ruined by this evil practices. Many ppl destiny are altered and lives caught short before their appointed time by babalawos and fetishism. All these mysterious death you found common in yoruba land, you think it is ordinary. No my friend, most of them are as a result of ppl that take your 'case' to a babalawo because they were offended.

You know how many famous(or would be famous) sons and daughters of the yorubas whose lives and destinies are truncated by this diabolically forces. This practices is rooted in witchcraft and nothing good comes out of witchcraft. The devil cannot offer anything good to humanity.

But this heathen practices is increasing and will not decrease because we are in the last days. Such practices is common even in europe and movies that as mystical or magical flair to it sells better here in the USA.

Dont get me wrong, yorubas are great ppl. The culture is the best. The use of words, the proverbs, the respect for elders etc are wonderful. But this heathen practices should be done away with from our culture. Because it as limited yoruba progress as individual and a collective body.

If am president of that country, i will ban those babalawos and make it a crime for anyone to seek or practice such! kiss
