One should be very mindful when trying to establish communication with a business entity or a government agency. Observing due diligence by cross checking email addresses, web address, and domain names before contacting business authorities and agencies in the online space is becoming even more glaring as it was recently highlighted in a post by the Economic and Finincial Crimes Commission of Nigeria (EFCC).



According to the post which was shared on thier official facebook page, it seems that Scammers have become clever at phishing for victims sensitive details by Impersonating legitimate businesses and government agencies.



In the post which has been stirring lots of debate, EFCC issued a disclaimer to prevent public from falling prey to the schemes of scammers. The correct email address was also made public on thier official Facebook page.

⁷Each video is roughly the same: an arm reaches out for a doorknob, swings a door open, and the camera moves on through. Sometimes there are slight variations. The arm might reach for a button, a keycard might be required, or another person may have opened the door first. But ultimately, they’re all about the same: roughly 10-second videos of someone opening a door and walking through it.

On the YouTube channel “I open doors,” a pseudonymous Swedish man has been posting a single video of himself opening a door nearly every day for the past year. There are now 334 videos, most with just a couple of views each. The channel lived largely in obscurity until it received some attention on Reddit earlier this week.

I found it a welcome distraction from the world’s chaos, so I decided to reach out to ask about the doors he opens.

This interview has been lightly edited for length and clarity.


What makes a good door?

A good door can be anything. All doors are special in their own regards, I would say, no matter the material, if it’s glass or wooden or metal. But I think the best door is the door that has a surprise behind it. Something that surprises you the viewer.

How do you choose the doors?

Any door that’s in front of me that I feel like, “Ooh, I want to open this door,” then I’m going to open it.

Usually, I try to film different doors as much as possible. I don’t want to film the same door too many times. Especially if there’s many uploads in a row, I don’t want it to be the same door. I will film the same door from time to time, of course, but I think that can also provide some familiarity. You recognize the door. You maybe feel at home with the door.

How did you decide on opening doors?

“I WANT ANYONE TO FEEL LIKE THEY CAN OPEN A DOOR.”
I want to see if I can unify people and create a community behind something that is so simple and trivial as just opening doors. Basically a social experiment, I would say.

I thought about it for a while, and the more I thought about it, opening doors felt like a good idea. It’s easy, accessible. There are doors everywhere. And you can do a lot of stuff with it. So you can show something behind the door, or you can have other people, YouTubers or whatever, be behind the door. I think there’s plenty of opportunity. Hopefully, there’s a lot of doors open for me, so to speak.


You don’t reveal your name and only show your left arm on camera. Why do you want to stay anonymous?

I want anyone to feel like they can open a door and everyone to be part of this experience. It’s not about me really; it’s about the viewers. All of my videos are from the point-of-view perspective, so basically it’s you opening the door.

By showing too much information about myself — for instance, my name or my age — that gives it too much focus on me. I feel like keeping it a secret and having that mystery makes people more interesting in watching the videos and maybe trying to find clues or making up their own story. So by not saying so much, I actually say a lot more.

What’s been your favorite door so far?

My favorite doors are the ones with the surprises behind them. Where there’s someone. I’ve had two collabs so far with famous people, and those were really fun to make because then I could share my enthusiasm for the project with them.

At the moment, I would say my airplane toilet door video is my favorite because that one has 5,000 views, which is 5,000 more than I [expected]. It’s crazy. I don’t know why that one blew up. I think maybe people have a weird toilet ASMR fetish or something, but I’ll take it.


How do you keep things interesting?

I gotta be honest, a lot of the videos I make are pretty basic and maybe not so interesting at all. Even with the doors that aren’t interesting, I’m hoping that it will feel like a safe anchor for people. If you had a bad or a good day, I will be there opening a door for you because I upload every day, and I will continue to do so no matter what happened in your life. Hopefully, even though that might not be interesting, it will feel like a safe spot, and in that way, it will be interesting, if you know what I’m trying to say.

Why do this at all, though? Why put it on the internet?

I’ve seen similar projects, and I’m so fascinated when a lot of people follow something that seems stupid. But that’s what I love about the internet. People love stupid stuff, and I want to be a part of that. I’ve had a lot of smiles and laughter from stupid videos. If I can provide that to someone else, that would be great. Whenever a video gets a view, that’s one more view than I thought it would get, and I’m just so happy for that.

In 1929, Hitler met a pure-blonde, athletic looking teenager called Eva Braun. Though Hitler was already in a relationship with Geli Raubel – his half-niece – he befriended Eva. Eva slowly established herself as the lady of the house. However, she wasn’t allowed to meet visiting VIPs or anybody outside of the inner circle. As Hitler was always surrounded by people, they were hardly ever alone together. In the last years of the war, Eva filled her days shooting home movies, swimming and hosting tea parties. But in April 1945, she decided to join Hitler in his Berlin bunker and stay with him to the end. The day before they took their lives, Hitler and Eva married; the unknown mistress had guaranteed her place in history. She was 33 years old.

Geli was asked to live with 'Hitler' her biological Uncle in his Munich apartment. She made the shift. Not that she had any other option.

But there was something odd about the arrangement, if not suspicious.

Over the years, Geli became an inseparable part of Hitler’s life. She’d attend her uncle’s business meetings and parties, blending with his circle of officers, sometimes even flirting a little. They talked day and night as he listened to her innocent banter. She was his affectionate aide.

This went on for a while. One could say that Hitler accompanied her everywhere as well, such as the opera or the movies, except he acted more like a bodyguard. When he couldn’t go along with Geli, he’d send someone to watch over her. Gradually, the nature of their equation evolved.

Initially ‘fostering’ her as a father figure, Hitler soon turned into an obsessive, haunting presence. At her gullible and impressionable age, Geli was easily controlled and couldn’t openly object to her powerful oppressor’s actions.

Geli’s days of freedom and fun were long gone.

She was coaxed into bearing the depressing, cut-off routine of a prisoner. When her affair with a chauffeur was discovered, Hitler fired him. All her suitors were driven away. He then put an end to her social outings, not even letting her meet friends. Once a social butterfly and charged chatterbox, Geli now spent time mostly alone, hopeless and depressed.

It seemed like the Führer had fallen for an enchanting young girl who also happened to be his niece. He was desperately dependent on his ‘ward’. She was his drug, and he was addicted.

Apparently, Hitler was in love.

He felt for her like a cynical, wildly jealous and madly possessive lover, and it showed. His overbearing insecurity and dominance was already being discussed in hushed whispers. Was there a sick romance brewing behind the walls of their shared home?

At the time, Hitler was yet to become the world’s most feared tyrant. The Nazi party was on a steady rise and the scandal involving the leader posed as a dangerous threat to the party’s image. But Hitler ignored the warnings.

Now, Geli dreamed of becoming a singer someday and wanted to go to escape to Vienna to start afresh. She wanted to marry a man there and settle down. Many quarrels ensued between Hitler and Geli due to this.

Finally, one day, as Hitler was leaving for a meeting, Geli hung out of the window and yelled something to Hitler. He responded by saying, “No, for the last time, no.”

Later, Geli was found lying facedown on the floor, bloody, in a pool of a violent tragedy. There was a hole in her chest, with a lung blown to smithereens by a bullet from her uncle’s stolen pistol.

It has been almost 86 years since then. Geli was 23.

It was ruled a suicide, even though an enthusiastic letter about future plans to a friend was found, half-written, on her desk. There was no note. The cause was stated as “unsatisfied artistic achievement.” Curiously, her body was buried in a catholic cemetery, where suicide cases aren’t allowed. Some say she killed herself out of frustration while some believe she was murdered.

It’s also said that Hitler went into deep depression upon receiving the news and mourned by her grave. He sealed off her room and visited it every now and then. But Geli’s death didn’t slow down his political ambition, of course. Though it stirred up a great controversy, the matter was quickly covered up and erased from public memory. Hitler even issued statements dismissing all theories.

Whether Geli and Hitler’s relationship was sexual or not, no one can say with unflinching certainty, but there’s unquestionable evidence that the controversy holds true. There are testimonies about how Hitler made Geli perform gross kinky acts, including defecating and urinating on him. But be it consensual or forced, their bond was ugly in every way.


When Geli was born, Hitler was a bitter, struggling artist. When she died, he was on the brink of world-domination, a hateful tyrant who’d commit the most heinous genocide on Earth.

Big Brother Naija 2021 officially kicked off last night and the house is already buzzing with the introduction of the first 10 male housemate, a different twist this time around.

The housemates are already settling down and getting to know themselves better and on one occassion, the housemate known as Yerins piqued people’s interest when he described the kind of person he is.


Yerins described himself as a “Polymath” and a “Renaissance” person.


A quick check into the dictionary defines a Polymath as a person of wide knowledge or learning. A renaissance person also means one with many talents or areas of knowledge.
