Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and other worshippers at the
Aso Villa Chapel on Sunday celebrated the return of President
Muhammadu Buhari after 104 days of medical sojourn in
London, United Kingdom.
Buhari returned to the country on Saturday to wild jubilation
by his supporters in Abuja and other cities across the country.
To appreciate God for his recovery and safe return to the
country, worshippers at the chapel located a few metres away
from the President’s official residence inside the Presidential
Villa, Abuja rendered different thanksgiving songs in the
nation’s three major languages: Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo.
The chapel’s administrator, Rev. Isaac Ambi, set the tone for
the thanksgiving service when he congratulated Osinbajo on
Buhari’s return and how he performed well while standing in
for the President.
“We want to rejoice with our father, Acting President Yemi
Osinbajo, for the safe return of our President and our father,
Muhammadu Buhari.
“We also want to thank God on how he has used you
(Osinbajo) in piloting the affairs of Nigeria while the President
was away,” he said.
Also, Prof. Durosinmi Etti, urged worshipers to celebrate God
for what he did in the life of the President.
He thereafter led the excited church members to sing the
popular chorus -“What shall we say unto the Lord?”
The chapel choir also rendered a special song titled “All
Things are Working for My Good.”
A former Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission,
Mrs. Juan Ayo; Ambi and Mr. King Opuru, later offered prayers
of thanksgiving in the three major languages. http://pyradic.com/showthread.php?tid=67 lalasticlala mynd44 |

According to the “yawa Dey” crooner, the reason he does not have too many friends in the music industry is because the truth sounds odd to so many in the industry. It is in that light that he said he likes to say things like they are, and also not involving himself in the politicking in the industry. He said; “I am someone who calls a spade a spade. I say it as I see it, and I don’t like to sugarcoat things. I believe in being real and I don’t have time for industry politics. There is a lot of fakeness in the industry; people say one thing, yet they mean another. For me, I wouldn’t say anything behind your back. I would say whatever I want to say right to your face, and that’s the end. I believe in expressing myself immediately and after that, it’s over; I move on. But in this industry, if you speak the truth, you begin to look like the odd one out and that’s not cool. That’s why I don’t have lots of friends in the industry because I like to keep to myself.”lalasticlala |

Nollywood actress Monalisa Chinda has had her fair share of relationship troubles over the years. It will be recalled that she got married to record label executive, Dejo Richards, in 2004, though the union only lasted for few years. Shortly after that, she got into a publicized relationship with socialite, Lanre Nzeribe, but that relationship also fizzled out. However, Chinda eventually found her missing rib in 2016 when she got married to a childhood friend, Victor Coker . Ever since she tied the knot with Victor, she has been radiating with a glow that is hard to miss. Punch’s Sunday Scoop reached out to her and speaking on what convinced her that her husband was the man for her, Monalisa said: “I found that I was at peace with him. He is God-fearing and has a good relationship with his family. I also always like to be in his company, and I knew it deep inside me that I had found the one. He loves my daughter like his own child and she feels very comfortable with him as well. Of course, there were a couple of other things I looked out for and the good thing was that he surpassed all my expectations.” On the lessons she learnt from her past marriage, she said, “Don’t let your emotions becloud your judgment; you have to use your head at all times. I believe I’m a humble person and I don’t have any problem admitting it when I’m wrong. I have also learnt to be patient and not make hasty decisions. In all, marriage is a lifelong training ground so you learn every day. It is important to understand the person you’re in a relationship with; know their likes and dislikes and that should guide your conduct, so that you wouldn’t have issues.” Sources: http://www.pyradic.com/showthread.php?tid=59 |

But for me, it destroyed my life. As a fruit, banana annoys the heck out of me. It’s almost too sugary, forms an absurd but fascinating clique with groundnut, and together, they have given Nigerians many happy moments. But right now, Banana makes me angry, and angers the living hell out of me. Since the emergence of Nigerian pop sounds, Banana has become a euphemism for penis, and it is showing up in our music, left, right and center. “Banana fall on you.” Unlike banana, I have always had a soft spot for Davido. |

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media
and Publicity, Garba Shehu, has said that terrorism
became bigger while terrorists got more daring under
the administration of former President, Goodluck
Jonathan due to the administration’s incompetence and
poor governance.
Shehu said this on Monday while responding to a
statement credited to a former National Security Adviser,
Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.), that the last administration
cleared the North-East of Boko Haram terrorists to make
election possible in the affected areas.
Dasuki, who is being tried for his roles in the alleged
diversion of $2.1bn meant for arms procurement, stated
that this in a foreword he wrote in a newly-published
book, ‘Boko Haram Media War – An Encounter with the
Spymaster,’ written by a media consultant and public
relations professional, Yushau Shuaib.
But Shehu maintained that no amount of lies and fiction
could change the fact that the last administration
performed poorly in the fight against terrorism.
He said, “The truth, as a matter of fact, is that the
monster of terrorism got bigger and more daring due to
the incompetence and misgovernance of the last
administration and no amount lies and fiction can
change that.”
The presidential spokesman described the claim as
another unfortunate attempt, “by inglorious Nigerians to
rewrite the history of our country in such a way as to
cover the sins of the past.”
Shehu also said that as a public relations goon for the
former NSA, the author did not surprise anyone by
dismissing the acclaimed successes of the Muhammadu
Buhari administration in the fight against Boko Haram by
claiming that the current government took the glory for
the achievements of the previous government in the war
against terrorism.
He added, “For those interested in the facts, as of the
time elections were held in March 2015, a number of
local government areas in North-East Nigeria were
completely under the control of Boko Haram – to the
extent that elections in those areas had to be moved to
safe areas.
“Residents of areas such as Gwoza, Banki, Kukawa,
Monguno, Bulumba, Baga, Gamboru Ngala, Dikwa, Mafa,
etc., were able to vote, not in their hometowns but in
refugee camps in other parts of Borno State under
special arrangements made by INEC.
“Since the Buhari administration came into power,
however, many of those residents have returned to their
homes and Boko Haram eradicated from their areas.
“In many of these areas, institutions such as schools,
police stations, markets and courts have been re-
established or in the process of being re-established.
“Despite Mr. Dasuki’s attempt to rewrite history,
Nigerians could not have forgotten the embarrassing
stories of failed weapons that plagued our country’s
military during the previous administration, when
unserviceable weapons, expired ammunition and fake
armoured vehicles caused untold grief to our valiant
armed forces on the battlefield, with arms exploding
willy-nilly and guns failing to fire.
“It is for trespasses like this that the Buhari
administration is determined to get to the bottom of the
$2.1bn arms procurement scandal and ensure that no
single one of the culprits goes scot-free.” cc; mynd44 |
This boy smoked 40 cigarettes a day and he got affected.
The literal “poster child” for Indonesian childhood smoking
was blowing down an astronomical 40 cigarettes a day
when he was only two. A few years later he was able to
kick the habit after a stay in rehab, but this only led to
him replacing one addiction with another. Now, he’s
undergone an incredible body transformation and is
unrecognizable from what he looked like a few years ago.
Childhood nicotine addiction is a major problem in
Indonesia, and the issue gathered international attention
thanks in part to two-year-old Ardi Rizal, who was
captured putting back cigarette after cigarette. At the time,
seven years ago, Ardi had developed a dependency which
saw him smoke 40 cigarettes daily.
Images of the young boy from Sumatra, Indonesia puffing
smokes while riding his tricycle went viral. His mother had
attempted to intervene, but the toddler would throw
ferocious fits if he was not given his nicotine fix.
“He would bang his head on the wall if he couldn’t get
what he wanted,” his mother, Diane Rizal, told Daily Mail
in 2013, “That’s why I get him cigarettes in the first place
– because of his temper and his crying.” Young Ardi was
able to quit smoking, but replaced one addiction with
another.
With all the international attention on the boy’s habit the
government intervened and he was brought to a
rehabilitation facility where he was weaned off cigarettes
and taught how to be a normal toddler. At first he threw
tantrums, and the mother would call the doctor from the
rehab facility.
“When Ardi first quit smoking he would demand a lot of
toys,” Mrs. Rizal says of her son kicking his addiction.
“Now I don’t give him cigarettes, but he eats a lot,” his
mother said a few years ago as he replaced his nicotine
cravings with food.
“With so many people living in the house it’s hard to stop
him from getting food,” Diane said about her son’s weight
gain. Eventually, the family brought him to a nutritionist
and they started addressing his addiction to food.
The nutritionist, Francisca Dewi said at the time, “Ardi is
very overweight, his weight doesn’t match his age.” Dewi
mentioned the trouble with the boy living in a crowded
home, “If Diana wants to forbid him from eating, it will be
hard. She will need cooperation from the entire
household.”
His weight continued to balloon until the family changed
his diet. Eventually they had him eating fresh fruits and
vegetables, and taught him portion control for junk foods.
Seven years after being addicted to cigarettes, and then
battling an addiction to food, Ardi has slimmed down.
Yet, Indonesia still has an epidemic of young men smoking,
as it has been reported that more than 60 percent of men
regularly smoke. It is estimated that nearly a third of
Indonesia children will have a cigarette before their 10th
birthday. Statistics from 2014 report that 3.2 percent of
Indonesian kids between 3 and 15 years old were active
smokers. Sources: http://WWW.skyevibes.com cc; mynd44

- Dr. Zainab Bagudu, the Kebbi state first lady stated
that 10year old Aminu beat off attempts by her security
team to ward him off; even though they had stated that
he could be a Boko Haram suicide bomber
- Aminu confidently declared that he was an almajiri
and just wanted to greet the first lady; after which he
proceeded to pray for Buhari and his wife, and also the
state governor
- The first lady offered to find a solution to Aminu’s
medical problems and prayed that all her children will
always push forward in their lives with the confidence
of the little boy
The Kebbi state first lady Dr. Zainab Bagudu has
shared a lovely conversation she had with a 10year
old almajiri boy who defied security to get to her
during a charity campaign, Inside Arewa News
reports.
Bagudu narrated how the little child completely
stole the show as she took contributions from Aisha
Buhari’s Future Assured Charity organization, to
the people of Shanga Local Government Area of
Kebbi state. government election, my team and I made our way to Shanga, a major rice farming town in the Southern part of Kebbi. “We had the task of distributing food items sent to the state by H.E. Hajia Aisha Buhari. She does this regularly across the country without much fanfare. “On this occasion she sent us 1000 bags of rice, 1000 bags of beans, 500 cartoons of macaroni and 500 bags of wheat. “We split the food into 3 to cover each zone; namely North, South and Central. We also gave portions to the Orphanage in Birnin Kebbi and the Amanawa Leprosarium in Kalgo. “We do this to ensure we are as impartial as possible. I still hear grumbles but that's fine; one can only try. “My security team dreads the outings but I feel safe and secure in Kebbi. “As I stood up to leave today, a little boy with charged towards me. 10year old Aminu smiles as he finally gets to the Kebbi state first lady (Photo credit: Twitter: @Insidearewa) "In the blink of an eye a CID man from my front had jerked him back. “From behind me with some karate chops in the air came running 'Kalala', head of my trusted team of boys; (I will tell the story of my 'Yaran Dr' another day). “To my side, Deborah my Civil Defense lady was yelling as she does at the top of her voice at him to buzz off. “Roughly holding another skinny arm of this not more than 10 year old boy was a colorfully dressed man. “All on this tiny thing. “I started screaming too. ’Leave him alone for God’s sake he's just a child’! “Kalala was unapologetic; and as always, ready with a sharp answer. ‘It’s their type who have bombs strapped on their body in Maiduguri’, he said.” “That was when Aminu spoke and I noticed more about him. His abnormally big head, protruding stomach and most of all his 'SPUNK'. “Upon all the reactive and dramatic defense around me, he was still pushing FORWARD, and protesting that he is not Boko haram. 'I am an almajiri and I want to greet her', he said. “His confidence was delightful! The colorfully dressed man turned out to be his father! “Aminu and I had a little conversation and I gave him what I could. “Most importantly, I asked Kalala to bring him to see me in Kebbi at a quiet time so we can attempt to decipher what his medical issues are. “Aminu was smiling happily now, but wasn't done. “He asked to pray. “He prayed for Baba & mama Buhari and after a harshly asked 'who else ??' by Kalala, he prayed
for Atiku Bagudu!
“It never ceases to amaze me passion with which
rural people pray for President Buhari.
“This is the kind of impact our outreaches have on
both me and the people. We set out to feed 200 odd
people but I also got the opportunity to change a
life.“We can choose to remain behind our defense lines and drive off in our jeeps, Or we can stop, look and listen to what is going on around us. “As a mother, I pray that I will always have the empathy to listen and that I will continue to have the opportunity to impact lives around me. “I also pray that my all 'children' will always 'push forward' in their lives with the confidence of Aminu.” Mrs Bagudu helped the girl and her 22-year-old mother following a report she received on the girl's poor condition. The girl’s father who also resides in Birnin Kebbi reportedly abandoned the family after his wife developed mental illness. cc; seun HBD cc; mynd44 cc; lalasticlala |
- BBOG co-convener, Aisha Yesufu is not impressed
with President Buhari's government
- Yesufu accused Buhari of being a hypocite
- She accused him of taking medical treatment abroad
after banning other government officials from doing
same
The co-convener of Bring Back Our Girls, Aisha
Yesufu, has accused President Muhammadu Buhari
of being an hypocrite who does not follow the rules
he set for others.
She asked the president to e careful of what he
demanded from others just in case he has to be in
their shoes.
Yesufu, in a series of tweets, while replying to Ross
Alabo-George's allegation that 'a year ago
President Buhari banned foreign medical
treatment for FG officials.' said Buhari's act shows
absolute 'zero character and integrity'.
She wrote: "And that same President is enjoying
medical attention abroad! What utter hypocrisy and
absolute zero character and integrity! "There is a hausa proverb that says if u want to dig hole of wickedness dig a short one because you might be the one to fall in. It fits PMB." Recall that NAIJ.com recently reported that Aisha Yesufu advised President Muhammadu Buhari to resign in the interest of Nigeria. Yesufu gave the advice in a two minutes, 20 seconds video she recorded and posted on Twitter page. She stated that the idea of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo acting as president is not working, adding that governance is stagnated in the country. She said the president is sick and incapable of discharging his duties as president and asked why he can't resign so his deputy can rule the nation. Meanwhile, former governor of Lagos state and All Progressive Congress (APC) chieftain, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has said President Buhari is healing fast and would return home soon. Tinubu, made this statement during a condolence visit to Kano state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, over the death of Maitama Sule. cc; mynd44 cc; lalsticlala |
1. You hate your job. You’ve hated your job for a long time now. Every time you see your friends, you tell them how much you want to quit but at this point, they’ve stopped believing you. Just do the damn thing already. Yes, it’ll be terrifying at first but so is wasting years of your life doing something you’re not passionate about. No risk, no reward. 2. Your life is the same shit, different day. You can’t remember the last time you did something spontaneous, something that surprised you. YOU ARE TOO YOUNG TO BE THIS BORED. 3. You want to go to a fun party tonight but none of your friends want to go with you/require 7 days advance notice to do anything. 4. You can’t remember the last time you really treated yourself to something special. Sometimes you just have to say screw it and splurge. The best things in life rarely happen when you’re playing by the rules. 5. You feel like you’ve maxed out your potential in the city you currently live. People make a big deal about moving for “the wrong reasons” but sometimes you really do just need to get out of dodge post-haste. 6. Your penis or vagina has been neglected for quite some time now. It’s a borderline orphan at this point. Will someone PLEASE adopt it? 7. You are constantly doing the things that make you feel like shit and going into a shame spiral about it. There’s no learning curve… yet. 8. You spend more time on the Internet than you do with people IRL. This is a common problem among our generation but the sick part is that you don’t entirely hate it. 9. You’ve been hating how out of shape you are for as long as you can remember but, like, YOLO, let’s eat MORE Thai food, baby. 10. You walk around your neighborhood and realize that every block holds significance or some painful memory. 11. You get the feeling that everyone around you is slowly getting their shit together, except for you. 12. You find yourself complaining about the same things you were a year ago. 13. You’re scared of change, even though you know it’s the only thing right now that has the ability to make things better. 14. You spend an inordinate amount of your time freaking out about the things you’re potentially missing out on but are too paralyzed by anxiety to do anything about it. 15. Borderline strangers are starting to worry about you. The barista at the coffee shop is looking at you with sad eyes. cc; lalasticlala cc; mynd44 Sources: http://www.skyevibes.com/showthread.php?tid=7 |
