If you don’t know about Facebook ads you will be confused on which one to use.

So, Which One is Okay For You

I will tell you base on Experience, You only need three here for now or maximum of 4 for eCommerce (The forth one is needed if you have eCommerce store that you have many products there and that is Store Catalogue

If you don’t have a website at all, I mean you want to start now and you don’t have money to build mini website you can start with Message. This is not part of what I want to discuss because I expect everyone reading this to be more serious about this business in coming year.

So, when using message use Whatsapp which means you must have whatsapp business app on your phone. When people click on your ad, they are sending message to you directly on Whatsapp. If you target well, this type of ad converts like crazy but you need to always be online to attend to people because they want to ask you questions

Hope you understand before we go for the main thing?

Now, if you have one pager website, shopify or mini eCommerce Website this is for you.

The first Objective to use is Engagement. Yes….. You are coming out for the first time people don’t know you and you need to build social proof, let people, like, comment and share your ad. This work best and what if I tell you the secret.

Target People teenagers more, they like things a lot. All you are looking for is social proof.

If you run that one for for 3-7 Days depends on your pocket then switch to Traffic. All what you want is to get people land on your products page. When using Traffic Objective make sure you choose landing page visit which means you are only paying when people lands on your products page.

Don’t forget you are using the same ad for engagement and also using it for Conversion anytime you want to run conversion.

Duplicate your ad to see best performing. Continue the best performing one and kill the one that is not performing.

So, run Traffic for some days, this will help you to create custom audience and Run a successful conversion for purchase.

There is a lot about Facebook ads, if you don’t practice you won’t know won’t become master in it. So, you have to start. Even if you are not ready to sell anything for now and you don’t have a website, create a and drive traffic to it just to learn small small. But be careful of the page you run traffic to so that Facebook will not flag your account.

The only place you will have problem is how to switch the same ad you used for engagement to use for traffic or conversion.

Why Facebook ads?

Facebook ads are the future, there is no better way to advertise your business available anywhere (trust me I’ve searched)
There are over 2 billion monthly active Facebook users, 1.45 billion daily active users of which 70% log on daily, and the average time spent on Facebook is 50 minutes EVERY SINGLE DAY…

What is this telling you is that Facebook is the best place to advertise your eCommerce business and as early the better you know that now.

Apart from the reason I mentioned above, there are other reasons like targeting the right people who will buy your products, instead of wasting money advertising to a lot of people you will only be advertising to people who is interested in your products and services
We will come to that later, for now let me introduce you to some Facebook vocabulary

This is your highest level when creating ads, you can have multiple Ad Sets per Campaign, and each Ad Set can have multiple Ads!

Ad Set:
This is where things happen. This is what determined if you will fail or succeed on your ad. Here, you will be able to target people base on interests, demographics and behaviors (You will know how when we start.

Ad: [/b]This is where you write your ad copy and choose your images or videos to actually show new potential customers! The end product of what you are doing inside the ad that your customers will see. (Just like a complete, well-furnished building)

[b]Facebook Pixel: Have you ever noticed browsing through Jumia Store or other sites and later, you login to your Facebook and see the ads from those stores showing the same products you were searching for on their site? That is the power of Pixel

There are many Facebook Vocabulary like Custom audience, Lookalike, etc. But for the sake of this Tutorial we won’t go to that today.

Facebook Audience Insight
This is one of the key things on Facebook that I will encourage you to study very well. This will show you who to advertise to.

For example, let say I want to see a particular product, I can go to Facebook Insight Audience to know more about it.

I will be able to discover which gender like that product, what Age will I target if I want to advertise it, are these people married, Single, Engaged or what. Are they University Graduate or not? I will know which page they like, which Industry they are etc. Don’t be surprise, if it is US, I will be able to know how much are they earning every year this will make me target only people who can afford my products and services.

How to Market eCommerce Business

Hey guys,

We are talking about marketing today and is the most important aspect of this business.

You can have good products, great price but if you don’t know how to market it you will make nothing.

Some people will always make money, pricing their products high because they know how to market it. The same product you are selling for 5k and you can hardly get two sales a day is the same product some people are selling for 10k and they are making from 20 sales upward. What separate both of you? Marketing strategies.

We will focus more on Facebook ad here. Am not going to be showing you how to create ad ooooo, I will be telling you something you need to understand for you not to waste money ni. If you want my video Tutorial on Facebook ad you can come to inbox but is not free.

Before we talk about Facebook ads, we will first talk about sales funnel or let me just say one pager website where you can sell only one product. You can have as many of such page on your website.

This page is very important if you want to get result and if you are don’t want to have complete eCommerce store for now.

Example of such page is the image below.

You are driving traffic from Facebook or anywhere you are driving it from to that page. They will see the products they want to buy there, the benefits, even testimonies. They will fill a form to place order even when you are sleeping your customer will make order and you will wake up and see many orders to fulfill on ground.

Why This page

Some people will be saying why this page and why can’t they sell directly on Facebook. If you are one of them then, you are not ready to make it big in 2020.

This simple one pager webpage will allow you not only to sell many products but also to save money. Because you can simply create a custom audience and run website purchase ad for that page instead of wasting money.

You will only be charged when someone fill out the form and enter the thank you page which is the next page they will get after purchase.

If you are not running website purchase ads then you are missing out because you will just be wasting money and starts complaining the business is not working.

If you are running website purchase ad you are forcing Facebook to make sure you get sales and if you don’t get sales you will not pay them. They monitor what each user used to do and they know who will be interested in buying your products, and they will make sure they show it to that person as many times as they can until he/she purchase

eCommerce is not what someone will tell you that you should go and fine 5k and you will make million before next week. Only people who will use this system am explaining or who have eCommerce store will make the whole money in the year to come.

And people are doing it right now, in the last 2 months have helped like 8 people design an Online store that has at least minimum of 20 Products. Some online store sef will not sell because the designer didn’t design it well to make it easy for the customers to buy.

Nigerian don’t have time to spend too much, just give them straight solution to their problem and you will see them rushing in to get what you have for them.

Trust your day was great? This evening we will be talking about two ways to do eEommerce in Nigeria.

I will first talk about importing the products and our major focusing country is China.

I used to wonder people reaction anytime we talked of importing things from China they will say Chinese products is not Good. Says who? Drop-shipping we are all hearing today, where are they drop-shipping it from, is it not from Aliexpress? So, you get whatever you paid for from Chinese.

How do you Import?

Let me explain how I started because personal experience is better than any other thing.
As I said earlier my first importation was in 2014 and I quit because I have zero knowledge. I bought some courses in 2016 which helped me not only how to sell but where to order the products from. I used to order from Aliexpress before until I discovered 1688. 80% of people reading this page know this website.

If a product Is selling for $5 on aliexpress you can get it less than $3 on 1688 even less than $2 for some products. And you will get high quality depends on your knowledge about it.

I started selling 3 products in 2016 Waist Trainer, Car Scanner and Be Active. I was living in Anambra then and my brother was in Lagos who was helping me to do it because I was still working in one construction company back then.

When he went to logistic company to pick the products, he told me why I imported waist trainer that it will not sell. I laughed and I told him to watch out.

I bought 20 pieces of waist trainer, 10 of car scanner and 10 of be active. I started running Facebook ads, within 5 days we sold 18 out of the waist trainer, 3 out of car scanner and just 1 be active. He was like wow…… Immediately I placed order for 50 again. Waist trainer alone this time around because there was gain there. To import one to Nigeria cost me around #1750 and I was selling for 10k apart from delivery money because customer will pay for delivery base on their locations.

It was easy for me to use 1k to conveniently sell more than 3 products and sometimes I spent over 1k to sell one. Let’s say am spending 2k to sell 1 which never happened then, the total will be 4k which means I was making 6k profits on each.

There was return then…. I Can’t lie because I have zero knowledge on how to manage return.

How do I know what is selling?

Now, What I used to do is, follow some products review channels on YouTube, anytime they update new products like this I will go to Aliexpress, check it and copy the image. Go straight to 1688 and used image to search for the products. Search for different price and quality one. Once I get what I want I will send the link to my logistic who will also help me buy it on 1688 and send it to me here in Nigeria. Once the products landed, I will go to their office if am in Lagos or send my brother if am not to get it for me, simple.

If you really want to sell what others are not selling or you want to be the first in the market you need to follow that step. I never share that with anyone before, not even my students, what I do is to give them latest products that is selling. If I get 4 from the review channel, I will first test it and see if it will work in Nigeria. Once is okay, I will give them 2.

I have some websites where I discovered new products too, but that is personal which I will not share here and I hope you understand.
So, that is how to import. And the company I was using then is NBC, they were doing great then but now they have many customers so, they disappoint many times. I have one guy am using now, the guy is my students, he decided to start the business after making some money in this business and I can proudly tell you he is doing great today.

He doesn’t waste time and he will give you good service, even his rate is cheaper than NBC. If you want to use him just get in touch with me and I will give you his details.

You will source for the product link, send to him and he will help you buy it, once your goods arrived their office in China, he will contact you which shipping you want to use, they have Express, Normal and sea. That is all. Hope you understand?

How to start this business without Importing Anything

2 hot products am currently selling am not importing it and the products is selling like pure water. Some of my students are currently selling it too. The products are working because I have returning customer who used it and want to get more.

How do I come with this method?

When NBC was doing their rubbish, I placed order and for over a month I didn’t received the item then, one day I tried checking JIJI for that products because there was order on ground. I was surprised to see the products very cheap. Products I was buying in China for like 2300 and am getting here in Nigeria for 3200, some 4k. and I was selling it then for 12k. since then I don’t normally buy things from outside again.
Instead of me using my money to buy many why not invest that money on another business and be buying it here in Nigeria.

But there is bad news!

Those people can run out of stock, the best is to have like 3-4 selling the same thing with almost the same price. That will help you.

Why their price is cheap?

It will cheap because they are buying hundreds if not thousand and they used sea to import it down to Nigeria, and they want to sell quickly and buy another because they have shop they are paying for.

I will recommend you start with that if you don’t have much money to start.

eCommerce (Importation Business)

Today we will be talking about (eCommerce) Importation business.

This alone may take 2-3 days before we will be finish it because we will also talk about Facebook ads except, I want to be posting twice in a day which I cannot promise. And Facebook is very important in this business, if you want to succeed in eCommerce (importation business) you need to master Facebook ads.

So, I will advise you to be patience because whatever that will be good needs to be taken step by steps.

This is not a class where I will be teaching you what is ecommerce, types, and characteristics etc. I will teach you on how you can succeed in this business even if you never start before and it will help people who are already doing it to scale up.

Have you ever asked yourself what is Amazon is selling to make Jeff overtook Bill-gate and became the richest man on earth? He creates a platform where people can sell their products, take commission for advertising it to the right people that is the secret. eCommerce is the future and the goal of Google next year is to partner with many eCommerce stores, make sure they promote them very well. (You can’t understand the reason, only those of us in SEO line know why)

I shared a screen shot of Jumia earning yesterday, have been selling on Jumia for over two years. I started selling on Jumia in Nov. 2017 and I made my first sales in Dec. 4 2017 is over two years today.

Though I never make 1 million in a month on Jumia but I know what I can do to make that, is just that have not been serious about it maybe because am selling directly to my customers too.

But I will focus more on that Jumia next year, at least is a free platform for me. The problem I have with them is there is no way I can contact my customer to follow them up to reduce return. There is no how you will not face return problem in Nigeria because if you are not ready to do payment on delivery you are not ready to make money. But I and my students were able to reduce our return from over 15% to less than 3% 8 months ago and it has been consistent.

The question is how much do I lost if I get return? I only lost delivery money charges by logistic and both the delivery and return is less than 3k. let say I get 2 return at every 100 products shipped that means am losing 6k. the cheapest of my products is 9k and am making over 5k products on that 9k products. So, does that return have any effect on me? Noooooo…

If you know the way out you can force your customer to collect your products and also forced people who will not pay to tell you for you not to ship it at all.

People used to call me and some people even used to say Ibadan people are very hard to sell to… Lol… there was a guy who called me some months ago that he shipped 30 products and logistic returned 21 that is very bad business. He really appreciates my advice and after a month he came to thank Me.

Many people are leaving the business because of this return and I can’t blame them, when their so called mentor has zero knowledge and they themselves depends on him/her instead of them to find knowledge else where there is no how they will not leave and come to Naiaraland or Facebook and complained eCommerce is not working.

Am telling you all this because I know you will face it when you start. Am very sure of that except you learn from people who understand it very well. And you are not ready to make money if you don’t do payment on delivery. These people don’t know you, even Jumia that is popular is doing payment on delivery not to talk of you who is new.

There are Two Ways to do eCommerce in Nigeria

You can do it by importing these goods from China or US
You can do it without importing anything
I will talk little about selling outside Nigeria, that is drop-shipping

Well! If by now you don't know why you need to advertise on Facebook and Instagram then you still don't have full understanding of your business.

Facebook is a giant social media with over 2b active user and the truth is: if you don't have millions to spend on ads like big companies like Amazon, Alibaba, Dangote, Mike Adenuga, etc. Then Facebook and Instagram is the answer.

You can advertise anything on Facebook and sell it in a twinkle of an eyes for example.

FACEBOOK AUDIENCE INSIGHT

Yes! Is a powerful Facebook tools to know who your customers is and what they are doing on Facebook for you to know how to reach them.

Now, let's say I want to sell weight lost product, before creating the ads I will need to go to Facebook audience insight to see people who will be interested.

This is what I will discover :

I will discover their age, their gender, their education level, the page they likes, their Facebook activities (page likes in the last 30 days, ads click in the last 30days comment and share on post etc) I will know their state, if they are single, engaged, married, in a relationship etc. There are many thing I will discover.

What if I want to target people in US? I can target them base on their monthly income this will make me target people who will have money to buy my products and services

So, all these I just discovered will help me whenever I want to create Facebook ads because that Is want I will use when creating my audience.

With this I will only be advertising my products to people who need it and may likely to buy what am selling, It will help me to spend less and get good result.

I have tried to figure it out myself without using this audience insight and I didn't get an result. So, make sure you use Facebook insight audience before you create new ads.

There are some products that we don't need to target both gender but because we don't know we will just create ads on Facebook and be giving mark our hard earning without any result.

There are some ads that will perform well on Instagram that will not on Facebook and there are some on Facebook that will not work well on Instagram, the best thing is to know where your customers are, where can you find them etc.

So, go to Facebook insight audience now and start making research on your next ads.

1. Mailchimp is not the only autoresponder you can use, you can use getresponse and there is this cool one called mailmunch (provides a free account u can use forever) you can also use.

As i said earlier fb traffic is HARD cold traffic and as u have to be damn good to make lead conversions from your ads and even to sell your products. Try consider cheap and more effective traffic generation strategies than fb.
