Politics / Is Chibok A Scam??? by wecan: 6:59pm On Jun 16, 2015
O'Bassey Ettang

Is Chibok a scam

1. How come all of a sudden we are no longer hearing Oby Ezekwesili campaign for their release? Did something get mixed up along the line? Because it is on record that the army said the chibok girls were NOT among the rescued girls.

2. The wife of the president on Thursday evening held a dinner with the mothers of the missing girls so if indeed they have not been found, why is APC backtracking?

3. Maiduguri airport which had been closed for over 2 years on account of BH violence was reopened yesterday amidst the violence which has been upbeat since PMB took over. Is there something Shettima isn't telling us?

4. I am not aware of any school even I'm the educated south where there is close to 300 students enrolment for physics exams. How much more in the village of chibok. Does that add up?

5. What mode of conveyance was used to move over 200 students? Does it sound even plausible? Considering that if they were using buses, they would need about 15 to do so

6. Does it make sense to assume that some girls escaped from BH camp running faster than bloodthirsty islamists who have shown no qualms in killing? Especially when they are armed and know the terrain against little girls who have no idea where they are or where they are headed? With no supplies or direction?

7. WAEC has a duplicate of exam photocards of their candidates. How come these photo cards have never been made public?

Has anyone imagined the logistics of keeping over 200 prisoners talk less female prisoners without the knowledge of the entire world?

8. Even el-Rufai and the current leadership in APC have suddenly lost their tongues... Can someone explain these?

9. The mantra by this administration before it came on board was that it will end BH menace in one month. And that any insurgency that lasts more than 24 hours has the government complicit in it. Well its more than 2 weeks.... Wouldn't the same standard apply here? I would also have wanted to see some action that will convince me that something significant will be happening in the next 12 days to rescue these girls and end in the insurgency as promised.... Or are you asking us not to hold the government by its promise?

10. While President GEJ was not present during this abduction, he is bound to listen to the report of his security chiefs. Thus he cannot officially hold a position different from his security chiefs. He takes responsibility for their position as the Commander in Chief. Whether or not he is convinced is now his personal opinion. However, we must also remember that it was on record too that the former NSA raised alarm on the complicity of members of the security agencies and government in the BH saga so it becomes difficult to separate fact from fiction.

11. If the Chibok girls were scattered or profiled, the man promising one month to rescue and end the insurgency MUST have known of the scattering and the locations and how to coordinate such rescue in 30 days. He must also have known the infiltrators in the security agencies that will carry out this operation and how to cage them. If not I will be as aghast as you would, if sincere, on the basis of such pronouncements.

12. Coming from a president who would stabilise global oil prices, employ 3 million Nigerians per annum amidst a recession, offer free meals to school children, make our Naira exchange 1 to 1 to the dollar amongst a litany of other obtuse promises must surely have started something to announce his arrival. At least the first batch of the 1.5 million jobs for the year ought to have started... Even if its just 100,000 jobs to stamp his authority. I really wonder therefore who is 'clueless' here. Because basic economics teaches me that parity in exchange rate only favours an importing economy. For an exporting economy, the reverse is the case. With very weak currency and good standard and cost of living, the economy thrives. Please check Japan and China. The naira if I'm not mistaken is even higher than the Yen or at par yet Japan is among the top 5 economies in the world.

In view of this, I find it hard to swallow 'ineptitude' especially when it comes in defence of a man who just met President Mitchell of West Germany and who indirectly promised to kill all industries in Nigeria and make us an importing nation. I am floundering as I assume you should be now in trying to grasp the rationale in that comment...

13. I am happy that hapless girls are given a voice by international crusaders however I am worried that international crusaders switched off as soon as the elections elections ended. Can't they continue till they see to the end of their crusade? It makes it grossly suspect, their timing in deciding to end their campaign for violence against women.

I am 100% for women empowerment, gender equality and violence against women. Even my closest friend has a song on it in which I might lend my voice to down the line.... I am peeved however that the rise and fall of this campaign seriously coincided with the 2015 general elections....

Finally let me ask you this, "Would you stop campaigning if your daughter was kidnapped by BH because Buhari won?"

I just wonder!"

Politics / Re: Biafra A Nation About To Be Reborn by wecan: 8:59am On May 31, 2015
Yes, Biafrans can survive without the Niger Delta regions. It's not by force that the Niger Delta should join Biafrans. The Niger Delta region should decide who they should join. But Let's not forget that 85% of river state is full Biafra and 75% of Delta are also Biafrans and so many of them from other part of Niger Delta region . So Biafra is a great country. To you Yurobas who believe that we need Biafra because of Niger Delta, you guys are f00ls. We are Biafrans, we don't bow to o man, We are strong and we are not lazy like you guys.

Op, I assure you one thing this night. You're not gonna sleep till tomorrow and even if you try to sleep, you will see Biafra as a Nation. We are ready to leave Nigeria. Why is it disturbing you people. I will never be angry if i wake up one morning and see Yorubas asking and Hausas asking for their own Nation. Ndi Igbo, may God bless you all for your courage . You guys are great. You people believed in yourselves. Your dreams shall never die. All other Nigerians seems to be very weak since they don't know that the only solution for Nigeria is to dis-integrate. The Hate, the tribalism, Religious killing will never stop unless you guys wake up one day and see the truth in Biafrans idea

Today the Brave Enyimba City of Aba celebrated the Biafra Heroes Day in a grand style in remembrance of the fallen great heroes of Biafra and to show that indeed they are the children of those BRAVE GREAT WOMEN from Biafra land who fought against the colonial Masters (British) rules so many years ago. I am Proud of Aba because today is the day to show the world that they are Brave indeed.

If you are a Biafran, friend of Biafra and Lovers of Freedom, Say your prayers for our Fallen Heroes and your thanks to ABA people for hoisting this Great Day.

GOD BLESS BIAFRA.

Politics / An Ode To Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. by wecan: 6:00am On May 30, 2015
An Ode to Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

You came from Otuoke, a tiny village in the minorities. You told us you never had a shoe, showing your pitiable background.

From a Deputy Governor to Governor, Vice President to President, destiny smiled on you. Your tenure in Aso Rock never took your personality away from you. You remained the cool, calculating, humble, peaceful Jonathan with no airs around you. You treated everybody with respect.

Nigerians will remember you for expanding the political space and allowing a robust opposition against your administration.

They will remember you for insisting that their votes must count in every election. Before your coming, it was impunity at elections. Candidates were hand-picked and anointed in Aso Rock. Elections were mere formalities........ You changed all that!

You took in the highest amount of insult ever thrown at a sitting Head of State in Nigeria without quarreling with your opponents....... You are simply unique!

They called you names - clueless,corrupt,indecisive,coward,unintelligent,stupid,foolish......anything they can imagine, yet, you remained calm.

You allowed the NTA to give the opposition the same measure of coverage they gave you during the electioneering campaign..........no other past ruler had done that and I bet, no other person can do it, if you doubt, check what happened in the states with the state-controlled Stations - both TV and Radio...... You are simply in a class of your own.

For conceding defeat, you brought calmness to Nigeria and we are where we are today because of that singular personal sacrifice.

Again, it's very difficult to see who else can do this. Look at what Amaechi is doing in Rivers and his Party cannot call him to order.

We saw under-aged voters voting massively in the North. We saw the challenges with the card readers, especially in the South...... You decided to let go just that peace may reign.

I love you so much!!! Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

Farewell our humble President.

Release them, they have committed no crime, seeking for our own country is never a crime. it happened in UK no one is jailed and it is happening in Spain no police is arresting any one. It is not by force to stay as one in this country that is full of tribalism. This is 21st century, let peace rain
