Dino Melaye has called for the demobilization of 5G network which he claimed has been mounted in some parts of Nigeria.

The former Senator who described 5G network as evil, stated that it kills the immune system, affects the respiratory system, causes cancer and hypertension and indirectly causing the deaths of Coronavirus patients.

He back his statement by sharing videos in which plants growing near a 5G network were affected by the fifth generation of wireless communications technologies.

Dino Melaye stated that some deaths can be avoided by stoping the deployment of 5G network in the country.

Controversial Ghanaian pastor, Rev. Obofour has revealed that any pastor who says he was called by God is lying.

The controversial pastor made this known in a recent sermon in his church. He added that God never called anyone and that all the pastors in the country just got up one day and made their mind to be men of God.

He dared any pastor who claims to be called by God to challenge him with evidence, stating that he would further expose any pastor who faces him.

Obofour added that pastors should desist from calling other pastors because none of them were called by God.

“Shut up there, who gave you the right to call another pastor fake? We are all one because God has no called any of us. Any pastor who claims God called him should show me the number God called him on and the certificate,” he said.

Chairperson of the anti-se*ual harassment committee of the University of Ghana (UG), Dr Margaret Amoakohene has cleared Professor Ransford Gyampo who was caught up in BBC’s “S* x for grades” exposé of any wrongdoing.

Dr Margaret Amoakohene while speaking on the matter on Citi News said;

“If you look at the transcript that they added, there is no evidence of sex for grade. I agree that the lecturers misbehaved and so you will discuss these as unacceptable behaviours that should be investigated but there was no indication of sex for grades. In one case, it was about the national service placement. Who needs grades at national service? She completed and she was looking for placement”.

She continued that; “In the other case according to the transcript, the lady approached him [Prof. Gyampo] and said she wanted him to be a mentor. She actually confirmed she wasn’t his student but asked that he mentors her. So where is the grade involved in this? You are able to discuss grades and sex when you find a lecturer who is dating his own students, and either unnecessarily giving them grades that they don’t deserve or marking them down because they have refused your advances. But in the two cases that are cited, I don’t see sex for grades”.

Meanwhile, there have been severe backlashes from Ghanaians to the BBC for conducting a poor documentary─even though some University Lecturers engage in such misconducts.

In their view, the BBC should have based their documentary on concrete evidence about “S*x for grades” menace.

Mountain Black, member of the music group, Danfo Drivers, has revealed that the music industry neglected his colleague, Mad Melon, before his death.

Shortly after news of Mad Melon’s death broke out, many artistes posted his picture on social media, mourning his death.

In a chat with Saturday Beats, Mountain Black said, “Yes, he was neglected (by the music industry). We became popular in 2003, and we had been managing ourselves since then. I believe that with God, all things are possible. We believed in ourselves, and that is why we were still relevant in the industry till now. The industry is very wide; you can fix yourself anywhere and make your money. We were, also, both involved in transportation business.”

On the nature of Mad Melon’s illness, Black said,

“I am not a doctor. I was actually not around. It was when I got back, I was told that he was not feeling well. One of his relatives called me and said I should come immediately because my brother was acting strangely. By the time I got there, he was gone. I was just told he was not feeling fine.”

Revealing the plans for Melon’s funeral rites, Black said,

“the wake will take place on October 11, while the burial will hold the next day. We stay in Satellite Town now but we have to go back to Ajegunle where we were brought up. He is going to be buried in Atan Cemetery, Yaba. The people of Ajegunle have been very supportive.”

President Muhammadu Buhari will depart Abuja Sunday for New York, United States to participate in the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA74) which opened on Tuesday, September 17.

The President’s participation at this year’s gathering of world leaders is particularly significant as it coincides with Nigeria’s Presidency of UNGA.

Recall that on June 4, 2019, Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Prof. Tijjani Muhammad-Bande, was unanimously elected as the President of UNGA74 – an indication of the country’s high esteem in global reckoning.

This marks the second time Nigeria would be occupying that prestigious position following late Maj-Gen. Joseph Nanven Garba’s election during UNGA44 in 1989.

The Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige has said members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB cannot attack him outside Nigeria. The Minister said this while reacting to the attack members of the secessionist group meted on former deputy senate president, Ike Ekweremadu, in Nuremberg Germany in August.

Speaking at a function in Obosi, Anambra State, Ngige stated that the recent threat issued by IPOB members to attack politicians of the South-East geopolitical zone if they were sighted anywhere outside the country, is not in anyway directed to him. According to him, he protected IPOB members and their interests when he was the governor of Anambra State.

“IPOB was registered by the late President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Dr Dozie Ikedife and other Igbos as a non-violent group. What is going on now in the group is not part of the work plan . I visited the United States of America recently, and I was welcomed by IPOB members.

“They knew I fed and protected them when I was in office as governor. I have said it several times that Biafra cannot be achieved the IPOB way. The Igbo should stop shouting marginalisation. They should stand up and assert themselves to be counted. Nigeria belongs to all of us. Equity favours the Igbo to produce the next president of the country, but they must work hard and position themselves for it.

“We should stop political sentiments. Politicians don’t give power based on sentiment and emotion. President Muhammadu Buhari has said he is favourable to an Igbo president. We must support him and associate with the APC. Nobody will give you president of Nigeria in your bedroom.” he said.

The president, 74, said if anyone witnesses officials taking bribes and shoots them he can promise them immunity from prosecution but only if the victim survives.

The leader who is known to be outspoken added that those who take him up on the offer 'will not be sent to prison, but will only be seriously punished physically.' The president appealed to the public to assert their rights, and report any corruption or abuse involving a government official or worker.

Nigerian singer and Johnny crooner Yemi Alade has reportedly signed a licencing deal with Universal Music Group.

UMG recordings is an American Global music corporation, a subsidiary of French Media Conglomerate, Vivendi.

The deal was reportedly signed through her record label Effyzzie Music Group.

Yemi Alade is widely regarded as one of the best female African musicians of her generation. She recently featured on Beyonce’s album - Lion King.

She came to limelight in 2009 when she won Peak Talent Show, and then released her first single “fimisile”.

In 2013, she cemented her status as the Afrop-pop queen with her hit single “Johnny”, which topped the charts in many African countries.
