favoured247: Brother...u dont have to blame anybody that refuses to give up on the EH recruitment. They may or may not complete the exercise. But I think nnpc won't officially come out to say EH recruitment is cancelled, so dont expect it. From the last recruitment(2012-2015) those of us that made it to interview were left waiting indefinitely until it became obvious d interview will never hold. I was heartbroken then. This time around I have exhausted the time i set aside to wait for nnpc. I have moved on. For most people on this thread it is their first attempt, so let them wait. Time will tell.
However, EH APLs will be specifically for positions that cannot be filled internally, especially from the reassigned refinery staffs.
GMD though mentioned the need for more technical hires, however the possibility of another recruitment exercise within the next two years is very slim, hence EHs may eventually have to be considered.
Also note the Major recruitments within the organisations: 1991, 2002 and 2012; the 1991 staff are nearing their retirement which will spur more promotions and a strong desire to replace from the bottom and mid levels. Whether EHs will be deemed necessary to plug the gaps at intermediate SS levels (SS5-SS3) is what we should pray for.
Loaded89: I contacted a source in HR and he told me since the EH list was submitted to the GMD there is no official correspondence with regards to the list. So he can't say if it is cancelled or not. On the other hand, other sources said EH has been cancelled and the cooperation is been discrete to avoid lawsuit. Personally for me is 70-30. 70 percent in favour of cancellation. The paragraph 7 is ambiguous no doubt about that but I think is there for a reason. This is not something new( they did it in 2014). The only thing keeping my hope alive is that I know for sure: 1. There are vacancies available. 2. Aging workforce in the cooperation. 3. Average of 500 plus retirement annually. 4. In the next five years about 29 Percent of the current staff will retire. 5. Fast erosion of technical disciplines in the cooperation. NNPC acknowledge the aforementioned realities, therefore, they may likely call the EH's eventhough there is a possibility ending this year through early next year a new advert will be out, but that is hugely dependent on the economy and price of crude per barrel.
Our problems for here, big pass coronavirus...we have been battling lassa fever on a low, man made disasters (like the explosion yesterday), economic hardship, corrupt and inept government...we have coped just fine and still find a way through.
Even if the virus dey spread for naija (which I strongly suspect), na just mild symptoms majority go get and maybe lots of asymptomatic people. I mean, when you dey face all these kind problems for this country, plus acute malaria join, na coronavirus wan make you loose sleep?
Hopefully, in the next month or two, there will be a drop in cases and things can begin to get back to normal, so the media can allow us rest with the sensationalism.
wrrw: The next items has a timeline of 31/03/2020 with the GGM, HR responsible for its execution. One of the action item is to "Implement Competency Based Deployment".
Remember the comments concerning "Internal realignment first before considering the EH list" made by Aremolomi and Loaded89.
He has never been a man of truth really. Imagine saying no one went to speak to Tammy, when we have media articles of the NFF president giving details of his meetings with Tammy. Lest we forget, Tammy's dad and Pinnick played football together and Pinnick is actually Tammy's godfather.
Mr Fashanu should be more factual and leave publicity for media people.
Save for the FA cup he won with a Wimbledon side boasting so many talented players (Lawrie Sanchez, Vinnie Jones, Dennis Wise), what else did he achieve?
The average Nigerian young footballer gets carried away by the money and fame that comes from successful youth championships. The agents throw contracts with so much dollar signs you forget why you became a professional footballet in the first place. City was good to drive him, the same way Martins excelled at Inter at a young age, because of the depth of experienced professio als available to motivate and inspire your game. Gabriel Jesus spear headed brazil to a copa america in the same year iheanacho could not make a bronze winning super eagles team comprising of players like Paul Onachu.
It is a Nigerian thing : Chrisantus Macaulay, Femi Opabunmi, Emmanuel Sani, Rabiu Ibrahim, Haruna Lukman and even players like James Obiorah of 1995 U17, our mentality is low and our desire is only fueled by our quest for materiality. Only those who humble themselves and desire true success as professionals at the highest level such as Mikel, Jay Jay Okocha, Kanu and of recent Ahmed Musa, Oghenekaro Etebo, Alex Iwobi and Wilfred Ndidi can make the cut to superstardom.
Celebrities who seek loose women will always be victims of blackmail just like this. Neymar has shown the world what really happens with these hawks. I hope more of them will be wiser and more conscious of their actions going forward
kikio1992: Kathryn Mayorga has dropped the rape lawsuit she filed against Cristiano Ronaldo in the United States.
As confirmed by Bloomberg, Cristiano Ronaldo is no longer the subject of a rape allegation in Las Vegas.
In September 2018, Kathryn Mayorga, now 34, claimed the Juventus player had attacked her in the penthouse of a Las Vegas hotel in 2009 when she was 25 and was paid $375,000 in hush money.
She said she was forced to sign a non-disclosure agreement by Ronaldo's lawyers at the time, but reopened the case and filed charges in Las Vegas, demanding $200,000 in damages. Katheryn Mayorga has now ended her lawsuit, meaning the Juventus attacker can now draw a line under this chapter.
According to Bloomberg, a notice of voluntary dismissal was reportedly filed in May in a Nevada State Court in Las Vegas, but the reasons for it are not clear at this time as the filing does not say whether a settlement was reached with the Portuguese superstar regarding the rape case.
See what Delft is doing! Chai! Our own professors are here collecting blocking money... Later we will seek reasons for the human capital flight. A true Nigerian desiring real change can hardly function in this environment
Dutch national carrier KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is funding a pioneering V-shaped, fuel-efficient airplane design known as the Flying-V that is intended to improve the sustainability of air travel.
The Flying-V plane, named after the iconic Gibson Flying-V electric guitar, is being developed by researchers at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, also known as TU Delft.
The 314 passenger plane's futuristic design incorporates the passenger cabin, fuel tanks and cargo hold into the wings.
The researchers hope to fly a scale model this September while a mock-up of the new cabin design will be open to the public at Amsterdam's Schiphol airport in October, as part of KLM's 100th anniversary celebrations.
The completed plane is expected to enter KLM airline's fleet between 2040 and 2050.

I want to believe there is more to this man than meets the eye, like maybe he is a party canvasser in his community. Guess Osinbajo is about the little touches. Makes him more humane than the President
9jahotblog: Osinbajo with the 106years old baba Gazazhin in Kubwa. A man who told him during the elections that APC would win. Osinbajo promised to see him again if they win, now he's there. Watch the video below .
