Taxing people very high doesn't lead to economic prosperity. If this fellow knew he would be taxed as.much he would charge more than he did. This will create a relay effect as well on other factors of production as well. If you don't produce you can never tax your people to gain rich.

It is the poor masses that will suffer this. If the cost of your services is say 1m add 20% to it . Cost of everything will drive up. At the end civil servants ask for wage rise , cost of living increase, value of naira drops government realises they don't have the money they envisaged like removing subsidy.
Tinubu thought removing subsidy would make more money available to him but ended up having more money that couldn't do as much as the equivalent of that same amount before the removal of subsidy. Penny wise pounds foolish.

Fubara is relying on the noise you guys are generating for him online not knowing you guys wouldn't vote. Among the Ikwerre populace which I am Wike controls about 70% of our votes. A lot of Ikwerre people see Fubara as the person who sponsored Senator Mbata to become PG of Ohaneze. Mbata is seen today as an Igbo person among us. Fubara did this to curry the votes of you people. Unfortunately, you will be in Aba to vote for him and not in Ikwerre land.

Wike had to reach out to the military to assist. And you know the tribe that make up the bulk of the military.
So guys should stop blaming Wike. Hausas guys defeated you people in Oyigbo. This is is not obvious today because the military intervened to change the narrative.

1. Wike wanted a total emasculation of Fubara as the governor because he single handedly made him governor. No man, even a male child born yesterday would accept that.

3. Wike singlehandedly selected the majority of state assembly members and consequently, they were only loyal to him and undermined the governor at every given opportunity.

4. Wike wanted total control of Rivers state Treasury, dividing the yam according to what he deems fit and the governor must not object.. no man with two balls can take that.

5. Fubara joined APC without recourse to Wike who believes as the piper, he must dictate the tune at all times... No man with blood flowing through his veins would take that.

6. Wike wanted to be the Tinubu of south south politics because in his thinking there is plenty money in Rivers state as there is in Lagos, which is why Tinubu succeeded in lording it over the rest SW politicians, forgetting that the core south south man can never subservient to no one no matter what. Jonathan is a case in study. Even as a former president, he has no clouth in his south south politics.

7. Wike wanted to be the Tinubu of Rivers treasury to be able to amass unlimited wealth to prosecute his presidential ambition when the time is right.

Fubara as usual reneged on all their agreement. This is the place I have problems with him. Why agree in what you can't fulfill? Why enter into agreement even in the present of the president and later reneged?
Does it mean that the president has a hand in all these? There is no way a president will broker a peace deal and someone reneged on it and still be a friend to the president. Wike is insisting Fubara honour the agreement he had with him before the state of emergency was lifted. Those who support Fubara say that the agreement was reached when he was in PDP.

He used to be brother. He was an Ikwerre man but somehow Igbos found a way to put on him a foreign cloak. The governor because he wanted to curry the favour of Igbo people sponsored him to present himself to be the PG of Ohaneze.

A lot might have changed in Yikpata since 2007 when I served there. We used to get into the forest to fetch water. The food was Yoruba-like. It was disgusting for those of us from the South East and South South.
