Someone would say Fubara is peaceful, but this is not true. Fubara appears peaceful because he is clueless. He is bereft of idea of the complexity and sophistication due his office. |
patrickcollins:My brother I feel satisfied. Bros can you imagine some Rivers people given employment letter and worked 9 months getting sacked without paying? Those Ajuru University gave employment. We are very happy with the fall of Foolbara. He is heartless. Don't mind his mumuish look. |
aegis86:opari. |
ggood:Foolbara is gone. It is step by step. |
Game on. |
Game on. |
aegis86:No vex. I missed my spelling. Sim cancelled the one they had earlier given us employment letter to do his own . Now he has done this and his removal has occurred I wonder if his own will be honoured. |
We did Sum came and cancelled. I wonder what will happen to the one he did. |
Does Obi still have audience? It shows how bad democracy is with freedom of speech. Obi lost his voice when Fubara brought down HoA Complex and by himself declared seats of elected members vacant. |
A true representation of Gold are not given to those who know the value. |
ogugwa1992:Make una dey una dey |
It will not work. |
VnAhunnaPl:Will that lead to the House members passing the budget? |
While I am not a career politician, I follow political development with keen interest especially within my environment. After all Socrates had defined a politician as someone who is interested in things happening around them. I read that Governors under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have instructed lawyers to file a suit against the president to challenge the declaration of emergency rule in Rivers state according to TheCable understands. This brings to mind to ask some pertinent questions about what are the issues in Rivers State? Till date Fubara hasn't been consistent with the issues he has with the contending forces as apparently led by the FCT Minister N. Wike. The last time HE Fubara spoke he said he was asked to bring his liver and kidney. On different occasions he had also mentioned about blocking sources of revenue leakages in the state finances. On the side of the former governor the present Minister of FCT his grouse as he claims is Fubara's attempt to side-line his structure and abandoning those who worked for his electoral success for those who never wanted him to be governor. Obviously volume of water has passed under the bridge however politicians tact in Alternative Dispute Resolution strategy would not get to court to resolve the differences among their own. The last time I checked both Wike, The HoA Members and Fubara were still in the same party PDP. The party can wade in without showing element of biases to resolve this lingering dichotomy. There is hardly anyone today among them that did not garner the support of a political godfather to attain their present height. And when they would want to leave the seat of governance they would also want to handover to another party member and definitely a godson or to euphemise it 'godfriend'. Let's not pretend over this. Fubara becoming a governor was a glaring display of the height of godfatherism in Nigeria political arena. He was literally shaved in his absence. He hadnt interest. He didnt want to stake the little money he had saved as a civil servant. He was made governor with little or no spending of his own save physical appearance at campaign grounds. He was not even allowed to make speeches. For this particular reason he inherited a 'house' well furnished beyond his desire with him not even in possession of keys to some rooms. If these are not laid bared any attempt to make peace won't yield anything. One of the strong rooms Fubara so much needs but doesn't even have the keys to the aisle is that of the HoA. Supreme Court can't make it possible. Fubara tried to pass through other openings by declaring their seats vacant I doubt if is still current. At this point what is needed is encrusted trust and dialogue. Even at some time, as my father used to tell me, a tethered goat is given some slacks especially when she is pregnant. The governors intervening now when Fubara has been suspended depicts one-sidedness. They would have done this since Fubara by himself declared the seats of the HoA Members vacant. Supreme Court has ruled that there was no government in Rivers State some weeks ago. This situation in another term is akin to anarchy. Consequently, there is no need going back to the same Supreme Court save for academic exercise. They should rally their own together for out-of-court settlement. Reasons: If the SC reinstates Fubara today it will happen together with the same HoA members. Will they pass the 2025 budget? Has the issues been resolved? Your guess is as good as mine. Experienced governors among them including Makinde and Diri should educate Fubara on the importance of HoA to the Chief Executive in a democratic setting. Whoever has their (HoA) allegiance deserves also some level of respects. Whalis write from PH. |
JASONjnr:He can't. Fubara is as good as gone. As far as those HoA members remain Fubara is gone. Those guys won't allow him present the budget. If the budget is not presented no money will be released to Fubara. Fubara is gone I repeat again. Where will Fubara meet them? If you were Wike would you stick out your neck to make peace with Fubara? He will be impeached as you said. Fubara is not to be trusted. He doesn't have a mind if his own. |
zero8zero:We know them. They have no good plan for anyone who is pro-Nigeria. It must be then or any other person is bad. |
gare:Whichever way. You can't rig if you are not popular. |
Ofodirinwa:You insulted me first. Any attempt to deny an Ikwerre man his true identity is seen as an insult especially if it has to do with associating us with the Igbos. |
Ofodirinwa:You are truly a teenager. Nobody Mick's anyone with a sickness shared. |
Ofodirinwa:Don't associate Wike with failure. I mean don't associate with Igbo identity. He is Ikwerre through and thorough. |
simpleseyi:Enebeli will conduct election now. |
Not only this. The election as planned in August must hold. Una go cry tire. |
iwaeda:We know who have been threatening to bomb pipeline if a certain governor is impeached. |
Fubara can't go to the same court to seek redress where he had been earlier told that he is a dictator. The court said there was no government in Rivers State. Fubara knows he has no case. Fubara knows that he is finished. |
gare:Face your 5 plots. Wike controls at least 40% of Rivers State votes. Wike can't be silenced. There is no politician living in your five plots today that has the capacity of Wike. We know where the hatred is coming from. Wike will defeat you people again and again. |
Wike won everything about the battle and the war. Ipobidients you people can continue licking your sore wounds just as Gowon told you people no Victor no Vanquish. |
DSS1335:U asked again what has Wike done to deserve suspension? Please tell me. |
DSS1335:Permit to asked you this question. How would have Rivers State received allocation this month? If they didn't receive allocation wouldn't it have led to Anarchy? |
ZombieDredd:It doesn't matter. Anyone who is fortunate to be there should maximise his opportunity. |
My dearest President HE A. Tinubu, I want to use this opportunity to express my profound gratitude to your timely intervention in the overcast cloud of anarchy that had canopied Rivers State political atmosphere.I remember one of Duncan Mighty songs where he said the best time to separate a fight was during the quarrel stage. Thank you for using the wisdom due experience and age to intervene in the Rivers State political quagmire. The HoA wanted Fubara to alight from his high horse to present the budget. Fubara had an ego he wouldn't want ruffled. The political actors had turned what is glaringly a political difference into tribal war with threats of House members of Ijaw extraction getting their properties damaged. Not only this, there were threats of the resumption of oil pipeline bombing and vandalism which cumulated in the bombing of the export terminal last week. It was truly a period of uncertainty and laden with a gloomy outlook. If this intervention took place in 1962 the upheaval as it occurred then in the western region would have been nipped in the bud. Rivers State is calm now. Everyone has returned to their everyday business even the suspended governor was in church today including members of the HoA. You have the support of the indigenous Rivers State people in anyway you might apply to enshrine if not a permanent peace but a lasting peace deal in the political difference. I want to assure you again that most of the noise you hear online are mostly not from people of the state. Most are not living in Rivers State. Thanks HE. |
One term governor. |
Until they start to burn down places that is when there is threat isn't it? Fubara not working with the assembly is that not a threat to democracy? Ipobidients should mind their 5 plots |
