papaejima1:Don't mind the hypocrite, if GEJ have said the same thing, all hell would have broken loose. But since this is coming from Sanusi, they are trying so hard to defend him. In a sane society, Sanusi would have been under judicial investigation. |
During the Nigerian-Biafran war, Nigeria beg for weapons and even pilots to fight a rag tag rebel group. 47yrs later, they are still begging for weapon to fight an Islamic rag-tag group. What a shame! |

Oil is going to keep falling because we are in a moment in time where every oil producing country (except for a few) thought they would always "get" a good profit from their oil and didn't sock much away for the "rainy" days... so now they are going to have to keep pumping while supplementing their little "rainy" day funds to offset their government expenditures... that is why prices will keep falling, not one who is an oil exporter can afford to shut off the pipes because they need whatever money they can get to contribute to their governments.... oil is going to fall more... it's oversupply vs. demand... this is going to get interesting! The one thing I will say is there will also be more unrest in the world because those governments who can't spend money on their people anymore are going to be cornered... you will see more uprisings in countries (poor people get hungry and when the government can't feed them... well.. it's just like hundreds of years ago in kingdoms) so they will change one ruler for another... don't know if will help... I guess it depends on the ruler... if it get's real bad, even the world bank won't be able to help... so then it will come down to no one is happy in those oil producing countries and there will be not only regime changes but perhaps really bad deals made by some to stay in power with countries who are not democratic but have a pile of money to "help out" as needed.... the 1st one on the short list who is already getting funds from China is Venezuela and they are burning through the money like more will come when they run out... however, what might show up is going to be China demanding concessions because of the 22 billion they "loaned" the country... oh, like I said... it's going to get interesting and people in power will ensure they get their pound of flesh! |
This is a serious matter. A lot of guys around the world a fathering children that isn't theirs. Some Women are something else when it comes to stuff like this. |

We are sick and tired of hearing the same old repeated vagaries. In a country of about 170million plus, is Buhari and Jonathan the best we can present? Buhari is a delusional professional election runner and a serial loser. He and his followers are doing what they does best; dream about their imaginary landslide victory without any meaningful campaign, run, lose and then whine. 4 yrs later the circle continues. He really can't see the handwriting on the wall. Nigerians are no longer interested in coup plotters. His "Born to rule/win" idiocy is a serious impediment to his sense of judgement. As for Jonathan, to say he is clueless is an understatement, his political advisers are not doing him any good. When he won the 2011 election a lot of folks were hopefully that change has come to our Great nation. After all he wasn't among one of the elitist, he was the professor without no shoes. We waited for almost 4yrs now, without seeing any tangible change. Having said the above, he tried in some field like agriculture, (education) opening of new university, including the almanjiri school up north. Who knows maybe if not for the Boko Haram insurgency up north, we would have felt some positive impact from his administration. All in all, Nigerians deserve better than this lot. |

When these refined products reach Nigeria they were handled by local oil traders. The list of these traders is very revealing; as a substantial number are linked to ex-Presidents Babangida and Obasanjo or their immediate circle. Obasanjo didn't waste his time in immersing himself in that part of the industry. His son and the sons of some of the other politicos operated the fuel import business into Nigeria. To assist them the government paid the local traders a subsidy, a ‘fuel subsidy’ to keep the market price down for local consumers. These were substantial sums. And this old senile man call OBJ would not let the government of the day be. He who comes into equity must come with clean hands. Obasanjo hands are too soiled to even talk about good governance. On a serious note, we need a Jerry Rawlings kind of leader to clean up the system. That is gather all paste leaders from the 80's who has failed this nation, retrieve our common wealth they have stolen from them one after the other, after then, waste them all. |
EMANY01:Do you mind this mongrels? I knew somehow, someone is going to make it all about Jonathan. This people are pathetic to put it mildly. |

In time Islam will become extinct. Living in the 21st century having an 7th century mindset is counterproductive to the extreme. Muslims will have to learn to adapt to the times or perish. Mayor may you days be long on earth. You have said it all, nothing to add. |
JohnnyNY:Do people still read news paper in this digital age? Not to talk of old once? |

alVinHustle:Your next president is either going to be the Otuoke man you love to hate or the retired General and purported Godfather of BH. You are stuck with 2 hard choices. |

Ah, that freedom of religion thing cuts both ways. Of course anyone has freedom of religion, but when the STATE sanctions a particular religion they have to open it up to all the myriad belief systems in the world. |
That the truth, but a lot of people will not admit it, they will come on here with their sermon telling you otherwise. |

This is one hell of a scam. #justsaying |
I read somewhere on this site a couple of days ago that there are two types of Nigerians: 1) Those who are stealing and, 2) those waiting for the opportunity to commence stealing |
Op, try harder. |
The other time it was thieves that went to rob an Ebola clinic in Monrovia, now robbers attacking van carrying EBOLA victim blood samples. Which way Africa? |

Am not surprised, when you go to Dubai around the Nasser square-Baniyas-Diera axis, you will see a lot of this "sans-papier" guys loitering all over the area without nothing doing. It's beggars belief seeing young men leave their home country just idling away in a foreign land. I was told most of them were deceived into coming to Dubai on empty promises of job. But then if it doesn't work out go back home and try something else, it's not the end if the world. |
