A pastor, Adekunle Francis, has been arrested by the Ogun State police Command at Ipamesan, Sango Ota, for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl, Dolapo.

The suspect, who was arrested on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, was said to have lured the girl into an uncompleted building under the pretext of praying for and anointing her.

A 25-year-old pregnant woman identified as, Kulwinder Kaur was killed by a lover during a wedding in Punjab’s Bathinda on Saturday, December 3, as she was shot in the stomach while performing on stage.

The woman’s husband Harjinder Singh claimed his wife was shot by Billa, a friend of the groom, who has been disturbing the wife with love advances. He said: “They had been asking her to get off the stage and join them but she refused, so they shot her.”

The woman before her death was part of a four-member dance troupe from Bathinda who had come to perform at a wedding in Maur Mandi town. A police officer, Daljit Singh maintained that it was a case of celebratory firing gone wrong. “Details will be out after postmortem.”
