Datevilme: Hello guys, please for those that couldn't do their clearance before the convocation, and were unable to collect gown, do they still need to pay the 15k gown and convocation fee? Yes, that is the only criteria for you to collect your certificate. Before collecting your certificate you will show the proof of payment and your clearance form. |
Education › Re: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by Whiterose21: 6:42pm On Apr 02, 2019 |
Datevilme: Seeing that this one didn't collect gown at all, will the 15k be refunded?
How will this be managed by NOUN? Your 15k has entered into govt account (TSA). You will only get refund of 5k, if only you submit your details and the RRR form to your study centre. |

from my center group chat related to graduation, it was stated that they were asked to wait till the monday after the graduation for those people with initials I was also there the Monday after convocation and we were asked to write our full name in the register given to us, till today nothing has been done about it and I even applied for notification of result but they declined, they said they are no longer giving, that I should wait till month end for the original certificate. |

Bellonaire: Please is there anyone here who has collected his or her certificate after the convocation. I want to ask if they waste a lot of time there. is it something one can get with 2-3hrs? I am planning for the trip, if I can go and return the same day. I was at the head quarter in the morning, people walk in and collect their certificate with out stress but make sure you don't have initial problem. |

How do i proceed to collect my certificate please? Complete your clearance then go for your certificate because if your clearance is not complete they will not issue you certificate, you will submit your complete clearance form and valid identity card for sighting before you will be given certificate. |

yak: This is so poor of noun. In the recent times, Certificates carry bearer's passports. There is no grade on it too. Master's certificate doesn't carry grade is either you pass or your grade is below pass mark. If you didn't get up to the mark required for graduationthey will keep adding courses to you, to enable you reach the pass mark. |

SaintUlot: Does it mean they did not work on the correction submitted by students from each study centre when the graduation list was released? I don't know for them oooo but one of the staffs that addressed us of Monday said, those that submitted application for correction of name has been taken care of, but those that didn't write for correction of name at all, that theirs have not been printed. The point there is for us to continue checking from time to time, (my opinion though ) since I residence in Abuja I will keep updating you on this issue. |

SaintUlot: When can people who has submitted the correct name get their certificate? I'm among those that have that abbreviation problem, we were given a note book to write our full name and phone number here in Abuja and they will communicate to us when is ready. |
Education › Re: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by Whiterose21: 1:00pm On Mar 26, 2019 |
SaintUlot: Those ones that are not printed, are they printed now? Because i want to make the trip to Abuja to collect mine too, so that i won't travel several miles and be hearing stories. If your name is complete, meaning you don't have abbreviation in your name, that means your certificate should be ready for collection. |

SENESCO: And are students assured that certificates will be given on Saturday? Because the population they are scared of attending to today will be nothing compared to the large population they will have to attend to within few hours on Saturday. Some students are coming from far distances and have to look for a hotel to lodge in for one or two nights. It won't be fair for them to tell us to come back in another day after we have spent so much. Some of us are more concerned about collecting certificate than the convocation. With what I heard, it seems we will collect it that day. Someone came for notification of result (statement) the staff in charge of that, rejected the application, saying there is no need for that since they will issue certificate on that day. |

kayteajay111: What I experienced during FFS recruitment didn't encourage to go, for FFS RECRUITMENT I received both SMS and email (although without knowing anybody) and went for the screening to write test where we also created WhatsApp at akure centre consisting of over 200 applicants but unfortunately only 3 people of the members were successful and called for documentation. Some that didn't firstly receive call(for screening) were even eventually taken. The successful ones even lamented on the money used to buy SLOTS or you only know a senator/rep member in abuja. I'm tired of this country. For NPS, how will I be wasting my time on something that is not sure? while the screening exercise doesn't mean you've been taken. MAN KNOW MAN SYNDROME for employment in Nigeria can never be eradicated. If they are to performe a clean and clear recruitment for the applicants but not scam, why can't they paste the names of the successful ones on their website, national dailies, NPS secretariats for everyone to see? We are more advanced than that but corruption will not allow them to do so. All these screenings of a things is just a formality, the SLOTS have shared or bought already. May God help us. Anyway, I wish those that received message or saw their names a success. Better offer is also awaiting me ijn. You are correct, many slots have been given out, but not withstanding one have to try his or luck. Please I need advice from you guys, I graduated 2018, and above 30yrs which means I can't go for Nysc but entitled for exemption letter. My agent called and asked me to submit my CV which I did, my worry now is, if I'm asked to come for documentation, what will I tell them, concerning my nysc exemption letter and knowing well that the exemption letter will be ready towards end of the year. Your advice and suggestions will be appreciated. |

SENESCO: So what is happening over there? Someone who is already there said they were told that no clearance will be done in Abuja again, that what we have done at the study center is what they will use. Any update from u? The person is correct, students insist on signing their forms but the registrar came and told us that the clearance we did in our various study centres, will be OK for us to collect our certificate on Saturday. Though some have signed theirs before told but because of the population in the head quarter today, they had to dismiss us. |

Pls how true is it? I'm at the head quarter at Abuja now, please that statement is not true, you can come at your convenient time. |

kbshow100: please is there any clearance in jabi again? I though if you are done with your study centre that's all. I was able to collect my graduation gown. There's a final clearance you need to do at the head quarter for those in Abuja, I don't know of other states |

Once you are done with your clearance I don't think you owe them anything order than to come at your own convenient time. Anyways I will be going to head quarter (jabi Abuja) tomorrow for my final clearance, I will make enquiries for your sake, hope I will remember. |

UncleSnr: Have you taken your time to ask yourself where is the problem coming from? What am I missing? Do you know anyone in the HQ or know someone that knows someone in the HQ? This will go a long way in resolving your issues with the school. I can tell you that they read emails, but I don't know of the response rate. Try to reach out to people in the school so they can help you out. You are absolutely correct. Like I said before, I finished 2017 names came out for graduation in January 2018 my name was no where to be found but my course mates that I wrote exams together saw their names, I was furious and wrote to the school, then July last year (2018) names came out still my name is not there. I had to go to the head quarters, jabi Abuja (though I'm resident of Abj) going from office to office complaining but the only option they gave me was to write, which I did. When I was leaving one of the security men stopped me and asked why I was moving from one office to another, I narrated my problem and he said " I will give you my brother's number so that you will call him, that he is a noun staff in lag " since my faculty is in Lagos (faculty of education). That was how I called, he said, he was not in charge of my department that he will refer me to the woman in charge of my department, that was how I called the woman and she said that my letters has been coming to her table and told me what was causing the delay which was not my fault parsa ,if not for that contact I don't think I will be talking of graduation now. So take a step, if you want your name to appear in July list. |
