U better give it a serious though, why the thread? question is not meant for Pple like u, if don't kn what to say just waka pass kiss tongue

I really don't see any point to your answer here. The point made was plain and simple; that some of the questions people want to keep posting here are unnecessary and could be answered with a little effort and common sense on the part of those asking. As an example, how can you be an account holder and have no idea at all how to get in touch with your bank? And even if for some very strange reason you didn't, have you really never heard of Google? People want to be spoon fed, and it's becoming increasingly annoying having to read all these very annoying questions.

@whites,
You are on point about doing due diligence but dragging his name through the MUD is what I don't agree with, If I wanted to drag his name through the mud as you are saying, I'd have gone into details.

I didn't have any plans of getting into any back and forth with @ejimsky & if you observed well, l let her have the last word as it became an unnecessary distraction, I made my choice after doing due diligence and I trust most people would too.

I'm not speaking from hearsay, this "event" happened to someone close but the person is a private person who would not appreciate being aired on a public forum..

Thank you... *Last word*

Perhaps we have different definitions and understanding of what dragging someone's name through the mud is, but you may want to go back and re- read whatever it is that you wrote about this man. It would actually have made more sense if you supported your allegations with facts instead of putting forth allegations without really offering people anything to judge him by. Look at what Nerf has written, facts, illustrating why she decided against him, and which makes a lot of sense. I am not saying he doesn't have his shortcomings, since I do not even know him. It just seemed as though your intentions were not that pure, and especially at the point where the exchange between you and the poster that alleged to have had a good experience with him begun getting personal. It would have sufficed to just caution people and ask them to do their research. The event might have happened to someone close to you, but it is still hearsay as you were not there to witness it but are relying on what this person told you.

Anyhow, at this point that's neither here nor there. The most important point is that everyone must take their time and do their own research before they settle on a doctor. If you are not sure, seek opinions of those that have engaged the doctor's service and make an informed decision based on your findings.

@bbaby & @tvegas,

I had decided to drop the Drs issue because its not really my business at the end of the day, but the human part of me tried to ignore but couldn't ... Anyone who needs God's blessing will never go around "tarnishing" another's image. The judgement reserved for such a person is better imagined..

Wish i could go into deeper details about this particular case but the person in question is not an internet kind of person and will definitely take exceptions. But....

It is wrong to receive payment for SERVICES you know you are incapable of rendering and dodging the person when the time to "deliver"(pun intended) came

Not everyone has the same experience to share,There are some people that dont speak well of Dr Fagbohun despite being the darling of this thread.

@Modath, I really think you need to let this issue rest. You keep going on and on about all the wrong things this doctor did, and all these without providing any details. If anything, you are not talking from experience but rather relying on hearsay. It would have been sufficient to ask people to be cautious or do their due diligence before engaging his services and end it there, since any reasonable person will seek info and conduct their research before engaging the services of any professional, be it a doctor, lawyer etc. The fact that you are dragging his name in the mud and want to keep going on and on honestly makes it look like you have your own agenda. It's sufficient to caution people and move on instead of going on an all out war to show how bad he is.

mama tobenna and Omary83 pls I need ur help with the doctor and hospital you used in LA. thanks

Surely, why not take your time to read their posts as well as the thread generally? They've already posted the info they had on LA, and someone has already been kind enough to refer you to the specific posters that posted on LA. Why not take the time to read the info they've shared?

lol.

I'm the original poster in question, the first person replied me with good humour. But thank you for attempting to school me. ;D0
Abeg let me not derail, is there anyone who has the same situation as mine.

My hospital here didn't accept the medical records from Nigeria, so I'm redoing everything (blood, urine etc). Do they do that to everyone (because even another hospital intimated that my records weren't complete when I submitted them). Perhaps someone can please share a complete breakdown of what to ask from foreign hospitals. Thanks.

What you get from these hospitals is a hit or miss. What I do is always get my doctor in the US to give me a list of all the tests needed, and use this as a guide on what tests to get done locally. I find this especially useful for tests that are time specific and have to be done at certain stages during the pregnancy. I do all the late stage ones in the US though.

Seems you got issh with me being in the USA right, are u here to validate a claim or beef. I and tvegas both gave a link, it wasnt as if I just posted just what I feel like , I did a research and also posted a reference. I didn't force anyone to accept what I have said. Whites y evils na cheesy cheesy cheesy. I will let it slide.

Remeber 2 people can't have the same opinion. People shouldNt come here and cuss down another person if the opinion doesn't go down well with them.

Btw,Wat if am married and a permanent resident right now cheesy cheesy.

And why would I care about you being in the US, in Nigeria or even Timbuktu It's none of my business. Some of us have lived in the US for years, some of us are US citizens working outside the country. I personally choose to go back have my kids in the US because my insurance, that I have through work (an International Organization) covers everything. And even if it did not, I would be able to pay out of pocket because I believe in working hard and not seeking public aid, whether Medicaid or whatever. And just so you know, I still have my house for which I'm still paying mortgage and currently renting out. So, no, nothing I said to you was because I envied you or your life, because I do not know you and being in the US makes you no more knowledgeable than most other people on this thread.

It's your condescending and know it all way of communicating here that I find off putting. Not just in this thread, but on a myriad other threads on NL. So save yourself all this justification about being in the US, or married to who, or a PR. I don't care about that kind of nonsense. Just share your opinion and move on. I don't need to know the story of your life so as to agree with your opinion.

the constitution is still on amendment level. Ted Cruz has been in the news lately. Those you mentioned never won the election, if they won, something Might crop up. As long as we both know the constitution hasn't been amended. I rest my case

It's not a question of winning, but rather of eligibility. Whether you are eligible to vie is a question that is addressed at the very beginning, not when you win.

Also, like Tvegas mentioned, if you're not sure about something, then I'm not sure why you feel so compelled to come on here and want to sound like an authority. It's especially annoying when you make it seem like you know everything and that your position is always the correct one, based on what you recently stated to be "based on your experience"- This, coming from someone who has been in the US for less than a year, and on an F1 visa to boot.

Thanks a lot for sharing your story. I appreciate. I also can't think of leaving her behind but I will be going on my own. Hubby will be staying back in Nigeria to take care of business. My concern is this; I have no relatives in US. I will be going to El paso or Phoenix( from research on this thread). That's why am asking if anyone has gone that route before and how did they cope especially when hospitalised.

It's going to be very tricky traveling alone with a toddler and with no support system whatsoever. If your husband cannot travel, perhaps you can maybe have your mom or MIL accompany you? Either way you will need some help, especially when you go to the hospital to have your baby.

Your baby will have her own luggage as normal baggage..... my wife flew emirate to Doha, over 2 years now while our daughter was still an infant... she was given normal baggage....

This information is not correct. An infant/ child under 2 years of age and who has not paid for a seat is only entitled to one piece checked in luggage. It's even clearly stated on Emirates Airlines website. This is as opposed to the 2 piece checked in bag allowance, so by all means not "normal baggage" allowance.

Well done everyone in the house for d wonderful contributions.

Pls l need advice on this issue. I want to give my sister my baby's Social Security Number, she needs it to fill for TAX ONLY. I just want to assist her to gain more in Tax returns. I believe so much in her, so d idea of using it otherwise will not crop up.

However l want to know if there ll be any negative implications at long run (Affecting d parents in getting their papers) Thanks

So you want to take part in fraud and are asking people to advise you on this? You believe so much in her, even when she's clearly committing a crime? How do you justify her wanting to "gain more in tax returns", through use of fraudulent means, of course with you being a co-conspirator?

Please My brother Nigerian passport was issued at Nigerian Embassy in Abu Dahbi, UAE,
he is filling US Visa form, he just called me now, that he was asked for the Authority/Country that issued his passport in DS-160.

please what should he fill there.

is it Nigeria for Authority or UAE?

I know the city will be Abu Dhabi,

Please assist oooo, is very urgent, I had just told him to hold on a little.

Thanks all.

It's a Nigerian passport, so obviously the issuing country/authority is Nigeria.

I think the reverse is the case ,you are the one that needs to actually do more research. Information is vital in life, always be Hungry for it. Go and verify my claims properly, you schooling in the US amours to nothing in regards the topic of discussion.
