Skylar's POV)

I saw the bullet coming but something quickly pushed me out of the incoming bullet. It was so fast. But when I saw the face it was Richard's. I went number for sometime and when I opened my eyes I was in my rooming, sleeping on my bed with Richard sitting close by. I called out to him and he raise his face to see me awake. I could tell that he was worried. He went out and came back with some drugs in his hands. After I swallowed the drugs, I tried asking about Jake and his men but he just hushed me and told me to rest first. I soon began to feel dizzy and I slept off. I woke up feeling much more better. Richard had already prepared breakfast and did the house chores so I was left with nothing to do. I took mine breakfast to the dinning table and Richard joined me. After eating I decided to ask about how he escaped Jake and his men, but he just waved it aside again. There was something fishy with Richard and his decision to wave this topic aside anytime I bring it forward. And I must get to the root of all this.

Richard's POV

I can see that Skylar is angry with me. Anytime she talks about Jake I just wave it aside. I know she is bound to be angry and she will find out the truth one day. But I want to wait till that time comes. She will surely see me as a freak when she gets to know but let's wait till that time comes. I told her that o want to take my leave as my mom would be worried. She wanted to excort me but I declined as I didn't want to stress her. Also I don't want to give her clue to what happened to those guys. I went home alone thinking about the best way to tell Skylar the truth.

******ONE WEEK LATER********

Richard's POV

It has been a week now. Me and Skylar relationship have become closer than before. Surprisingly she didn't raise that topic again. I am happy about it but I don't trust her sha, she must be planning something else. I will find out sooner or later. But that is the main problem, the main problem is that I have not seen Jake since the incident. He has not been coming to school and all his guys or goons have denied seeing him. Well o got a plan. I am going to his house today. I got his address from one of his friends.

Jake's POV

Thus guy is getting on my nerves with his calmness. I was expecting him to show fear when he see me but even with a gun pointed at him he still remains calmed. I called for my back up and they all came out of their hiding place. They were about 12 in number and they definitely going to put some fear in the heart of this bastard that think he is James bond. I looked just in time to see him smile at the number of guys I came. Then I heard him muttered this is going to be more fun than I thought. I was fazed by his word but quickly hide my emotions as I wondered what gave him confident even with 12 guys surrounding him all with weapon. I will love to see were his confidence will lead him to.

Skylar's POV

I heard Jake clapped and guys came out of every angle and surrounded us. They were 12 in number including Jake. I became visibly scared as they were holding weapons ranging from cutlass, battle axe and gun. Then I heard Richard speak the most crazy joke of the century. He said ''this is going to be more fun than I thought''. This boy got guts I must say. Standing in the middle of 12 guys all armed and u unarmed saying it was fun is the most crazy thing I have heard. I love Richard and if any thing happens to him I might not be able to bear it. I gotta wake him up from his sleep. I called to him and he just looked at me and smiled. I told me it was OK that I should not worry. I am confused to my elastic limit. The kid with the lowest self esteem all of a sudden became for confident that 12 guys armed cannot make him scared. Something is not right with this boy. He must be high on something. But he looked alright on our way and even at his house not until we saw this guys that he began behaves funny. I wanted to beg him to put down this new attitude of him when I heard a bang. I heard Richard scream my name and I went numb.

Jake's POV

I saw fear I'm the eyes off his gf Skylar. I had a idea. I was wicked but if that can make him fear then I have no option than to do it. Am sorry Skylar. Bang I shoot her. I heard Richard scream her name and he caught before she landed on the ground. I was smiling inwardly for work well done when I heard the most creepy voice I have ever heard.

Richards POV

I showed no fear as I calculated every move made by them. I saw fear in the eyes of Skylar as she was looking at me after my speech which was suppose to be spoken in my mind but some how it came out of my mouth. I was glad it came out as I saw some atoms of fear in Jakes eyes. I was still calculating their move. I noticed that they have not made any move for me since they came out which means that they are waiting for Jake order. I was still thinking if I should attack first when I heard a bang. At first I thought the bullet was for me so I didn't bother as I was unkillable. But when I saw were the bullet was headed I became panicked. I quickly jumped into the incoming bullet but I was a little bit late as it the bullet had effect on her too. She fainted instantly but she gat no injury. I became very angry. I wolves half too became very angry and I spoke through me. "what have u done" it said in the most creepy voice I have ever heard. I got up from the ground and faced the guys. They were all afraid as my eyes were glowing sky blue now. Some were about to run but I ran past them and blocked the road. With a swift move I finish them all remaining only Jake and I. I saw shock written all over his eyes. I had wanted to kill him right there but my vampire part would not let me do it saying I will need him later so I told him to stand up. I gave him a slap that sent him to the floor. I asked why he still came after me. And he said that he only wanted revenge. I looked at him and just told him that he should leave my sight and if any one hears about this matter then he should consider himself a dead man. He nodded in affirmative and I helped him up and told him to leave before I do something stupid. He asked what he was going to do about the bodies. I told him not to worry that the police will take it as a clash between cultist. He nodded and ran off. I took Skylar in my hands and oof we went to her place. I place her on her bed and went to get cold water and towel to cool her temperature. After some 30 mins she woke up all shocked up.

Richards POV
As we walked through the extreme part of my street I started to have this feeling that we were been followed. I shrugged off the thought. We were about to take a left turn to Skylar's street when we saw him coming out of the bush around. I have had the thought that it was him that was stalking us but I shrugged it off. But here he was pointing a gun at me with a smirk in his face that I want to smack off. Well my weaken point is here so there absolutely nothing I can do with her by my side. I just don't want her to get hurt and she can't know my secret powers not yet.

Skylar's POV
I was shocked when I saw him. I thought maybe he had forgotten the matter after a week of not hearing from him. But he played smart by waiting for sometime before launching an attack. So intelligent of him I must say. I was scared because he had a gun in his hands pointing at us. We are venerable to his attacks as we had no weapon for fight. He had caught us unaware. I look at Richard but his face was expressionless and he showed no atom of fear. I wondered was gave him courage to stand before a man with a gun with absolutely no weapon. As I was still thinking I held something I didn't understand at the first place but when my brain process it I became too shocked to speak a word.

Jake's POV

I am angry at this guy's calmness. I wanted to blow off his brain right there but for some reasons I couldn't. I want him to suffer until he will beg for death before I kill him. I didn't want Skylar in any of this but she brought doom upon herself. I turn to her and I saw that she was scared even though she was trying to conceal it. Quiet funny to see her that way. I turned to the fool ones again and he was still expressionless. I was about to speak when he said something I did expect from him but it came in a way I did not expect it. It was more of a command than that of a plea.

Richard's POV

I told him to let Skylar GI her way as it was me and him who had scores to deal with. He look a me with a priceless face that almost made me laugh. I would had been laughing out my lungs if not for the situation we ar into at the moment. He finally spoke up after some seconds and what he said sounded stupid and right at the same time. Stupid as I didn't expect that and right as it was technically correct. He said that if he let her go she will call the police and that was doom for him as his parent will skinned him alive. Well am done with all this talking time for the action. I am very prepared now to do anything so as to get past here even if it means me using my powers too then I think I will do it. I can't risk Skylar's life. I told him that I was ready for action then he clapped his hands and the leaves began to move. More guys with funs appeared from the bush. This is going to be mor fun than I thought.



Make ona just manage this small update.
