I have been wondering why i've not been getting comments with all my juicy posts

Dashboard > settings> posts and comments > comment location > choose Embedded. ( it is the best option as it allows users to comment on the same page.

If you notice. your current status should be[b] HIDE [/b], that is why the comment link does not show
