Any research that involves human life (consciousness) needs to be done with extreme caution.

Advances in Consciousness Science are needed to address potential ethical issues that the rapid rate of AI development might bring.

However, I think AI tech is developing at an alarming (scary) rate. EU recently signed the AI Act to regulate the development and use of AI technologies in the region.

There'll be no cause for alarm once AI scientists and engineers don't model AI systems using star dust and other organic matter that can support life after the human brain.

If they do, then the systems could become a living thing and such could create big problems due to the fact Consciousness Science is still in its infancy in mainstream science.
