FBS: Chelsea against Newcastle back to back should be interesting.
I must say though that it's impressive to know that we can crush weaker oppositions at will, and yes, Mr Cucu appears to be more suited to that inverted full back role compared to Gusto. Mudman also seems to be coming to life under Mascara.
What is not satisfying however is that for all the clubs activities and spendings, Notts Forest are currently above us on the table and so is Brighton.
A win against Newcastle is crucial. We have to win, we're at home and Newcastle isn't really hot like last time, we also have like 50 players to choose from so lacasera deliver this win for us, men dey H. |

Kimbeast: Joke aside Jackson would have scored at least two goals yesterday for Madrid. I might drag him for his goalscoring but truly there's no way he would have been caught 8 times offside yesterday, he's so intelligent when facing the offside trap, if we played against them now we'll trouble them die but with Gbanchez and disasi scores might be 3-7. |

Newcastle should be a win today even with the defense. I won't use Thursday to judge badiashile until I see him against bigger teams to know he's improved, veiga might gradually keep that spot on lockdown with the way he's moving, mr versatile. |

We need to learn how to be more clinical like on Thursday. That's what made the difference for Barka, they now know how to convert chances, that's why I will always be hard on Jackson until he repents. |

abduleez1: See the confidence and rapport this team is playing with. See the joy on their faces and our hearts filled with happiness.
See Pablo Torre coming on and getting goals.
Things I noticed in this match and would do us good if we master it:
* The team pressed relentlessly when not with the ball. They demanded for possession, grab it anyway possible to control momentum.
* Pau Cubarsi, Inigo Martinez and Marc Casado understanding and partnership is a joy to watch. They effectively cancelled out any threats towards the defence. Casado is easily the most important piece in that midfield for me. Cos there's hardly anyone to match his profile and give what he brings.
* Raphinha is surely rejuvenated and wholeheartedly deserves the Captain armband. Dude was MTN — Everywhere You Go!! I'm midfield, attack and defence. Leading by example. What a true Captain should be or strive for. Hope Araujo dey learn?
* The biggest observation was this team taking multiple shots outside the box. And many of the shots came from non-traditional players known for taking shots. I love our midfielders taking shots at opposition GK. Pedri now takes shots, Casado is the same... Then we have the regulars like Lamine Yamal, Pablo Torre and Raphinha also adding their quota.
These are the kinds of players you need in European nights. The profiles that can shoot and score in games you can't get much opportunity to get too close to the goalie or defenders. There's: Olmo, Torre, Pedri, Raphinha, Yamal, Lewa, Casado, Fermin Lopez. And these are all spread out between attackers and midfielders. What I love most is that this list have players who can score goals from close range or long range. There's specialists who excel in either of this. Not having these profile of players who could always shoot outside the box without the main front 3 contributing has always been one of the major problems of Tiki Taka and our UCL elimination. Glad its actually being rectified.
* We actually launch counterattacks with Raphinha And Yamal being prime movers of that trait. I love it.
* Then there's players who can come in as Boogey players.... What a Rodrygo or Valverde was to Madrid those years before their first XI success. Our Boogey players seems to be: Pablo Torre, Fermin, Gavi and Fati (I see the potential). And I love it being majorly from the midfield.
This dynamic profile make-up just gives me ultimate joy. All in all an excellent match. All these just to still go trophy less at the end of the season. Sensational. |

Unlimited22: Smart recruitment and we will challenge for the title next season.
One CB whose brains are in the right place.
One LW who has the attributes of Mudryk but who actually knows how to play football.
One GK who doesn't play like Neuer one moment and Abiodun Baruwa, Wilfred Agbonevbare or Karl Darlow the next.
One striker who can dominate the box.
We have a very good core. Lavia, James, Caicedo, Enzo, Colwill, Palmer, Cucu etc
Plus one more year of experience will help.
On to the next. We might not need another LW for some time, we have several keepers that we can choose from, no need of building a keeper first eleven and if we are going to spend heavily on a cb to upgrade our defence I think we should get guehi back, what do you think,? |

Sub veiga for gusto, he shouldn't even have started if he knew he would start James since he's the other RB in case of injury. Sancho is not using the space afforded to him on the left well, Neto or another person might be needed soon to terrorize Arnold before he runs to Madrid. Use more outside shots to test kelleher. He's nowhere near Allison. Drag Gbanchez and Jackson's ear well in the dressing room and warn them seriously, this is a big game and it's supposed to measure if we are now ready to compete with the heavy weights. |

abduleez1: Lol, he's actually selling to you at international price. Not beneficial in Nigeria in the form of cheaper fuels but it's a boon for the economy in the long run.
Why your fuel was cheap in the first place was cos of subsidy. You'd have to take that to your government why they ain't paying subsidy to Dangote to make it cheaper for you.
The industry now seems fully deregulated. Probably why you're seeing many people scrambling to set up refineries in Nigeria now. Something people have been clamouring for a long time.
At least our economy would gain a lot in keeping our Forex to ourselves for better investments instead of wasting it on subsidy that the elites enjoy the benefits the most. It would shore up our reserves especially with the planned export of petroleum products overseas especially if we somehow become a net exporter with the number of refineries being planned to come online.
It over to your government to manage how well this transition moves. Has BUA already started building his refinery? That project no be beans o. |
