First car was toyota corolla 2000, got it 4yrs ago.it was a car i really enjoyed, cheap maintenance n fuel consumption was excellent. I got it to ease my movement and was expecting a child too. Sold it last yr n the person is still enjoying the car till today. I got another car.

Its just a car I'll encourage any starter should buy if they can afford it cos it looks smaller but expensive.
Come o, your moniker is almost a parody of mine

Ha Op. Very good question.

I will never forget the reason for the decision. My friends had been telling me to get a car for a long time o. I felt it was just a status thing and so thought i did not need one. After all, BRT dey, Okada dey! Between them I could get anywhere. At a point BRT services started degrading but then, there was still danfo now?

One morning, na jeje I dey go work o. I don call okada, me and that one don dey yarn. I like to engage them sometimes to hear their story, but mostly in a bid to make them slow down. Out of nowhere o, this small girl just burst into the road trying to cross! The girl could not be more that 7 years old o. My okada man swerve once, face trailer, swerve twice, face stationary vehicle, swerved a 3rd time, next thing I knew, we were under a 40 footer!. I managed to survive with a few bruises. I was home for about a week. But my okada man lost his leg 2 months later. I had tried to find him to no avail. So after the accident, they took both of us to the hospital, but I left same day to another one. Unknown to me, his people took him to his village where they treated his broken leg traditionally. When we found him and brought him down, it was really bad, they had to amputate him.

After all the fiasco, I called my car-savvy friend. 'Ogbeni, how much dem dey sell car?'. That was it!!!.

Looking back, I guess I believed the hype to get property first before cars, but today, I can tell you for certain that a small car is more important than your 1st house. As long as you don't buy a jaguar as your first car, then the house will come naturally. It makes life easier, going about your business easier. Note that I'm talking to people like me with limited resources o, if you have money to do both in 1 day, no worries! Also note that this is peculiar to Nigeria and places where there is no developed transport system. People in Europe and UK may not understand the point.
lol @ 'ogbeni, how much them dey sell car'

u didn't speculate the main reason for getting the car, the environment where it'll be driven and most of all, the frequency of lengthy travels u might or might not make
Just for local run around and occasional long trip.

Health6 Important Health Benefits Of Watermelon Seeds by WhoDeyThere(op): 4:31pm On Sep 14, 2016
You might be accustomed to spitting them out as you eat — seed spitting contest, anyone? Some people just opt for seedless. But the nutritional value of watermelon seeds may convince you otherwise.

watermelon seed

Watermelon seeds are low in calories and are nutrient dense. When roasted, they’re crispy and can easily take the place of other unhealthy snack options.

How to Roast Them

Roasting watermelon seeds is easy. Set your oven at 325°F and place the seeds on a baking sheet. It should only take about 15 minutes for them to roast, but you may want to stir them halfway through to ensure an even crispiness.

You can make the seeds taste even better by adding a little olive oil and salt, or sprinkling them with cinnamon and a light dusting of sugar. If you prefer more flavor, you can add lime juice and chili powder, or even cayenne pepper.

Nutritional Benefits

How much nutrition you reap from watermelon seeds depends largely on how many you eat. Because they’re small, you need to eat quite a few to get their considerable benefits. However, when you compare their nutritional value to that of other snacks out there, watermelon seeds come out far ahead.

Low Calorie

One ounce of watermelon seeds contains approximately 158 calories. That’s not much lower than an ounce of Lay’s Potato Chips (160 calories), but let’s take a look at what constitutes an ounce. There are approximately 400 watermelon seeds in a single ounce, far too many to eat in one sitting. By contrast, there are only 15 potato chips in an ounce, far less than most people would normally munch in one sitting.

A large handful of watermelon seeds weighs about 4 grams, which contains about 56 seeds and just 22 calories. Far less than a bag of potato chips!

Magnesium

One of several minerals found in watermelon seeds is magnesium. In a 4 gram serving, you’ll get 21 mg of magnesium. The FDA recommends adults get 400 mg of this mineral daily. Magnesium is essential for many of the body’s metabolic functions. It’s also required to maintain nerve and muscle function, as well as immune, heart, and bone health.

Iron

A handful of watermelon seeds contains about 0.29 mg of iron. It might not seem like much, but the FDA only recommends adults get 18 mg in their day. Iron is an important component of hemoglobin — carrying oxygen through the body. It also helps your body convert calories into energy.

Folate

There are 2 μ of folate in a single serving of watermelon seeds. The FDA recommends adults get 400 μ each day. Folate, also known as folic acid or vitamin B-9, is important for proper brain function and also works to control homocysteine levels. Women of childbearing years need even more, since folate deficiency has been associated with certain neural tubal birth defects.

‘Good’ Fats

Watermelon seeds also provide a good source of both monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids — 0.3 and 1.1 grams, respectively. According to the American Heart Association, these fats are useful in protecting against heart attack and stroke, and lowering levels of “bad” cholesterol in the blood.

The Takeaway

Watermelon seeds have many health benefits. Although the amounts of some minerals and vitamins within them may seem low, they are still far preferable to potato chips and other unhealthy snacks.
