It isn't out of place to change that thinking or modify it . To move forward . Because we actually need a leader ..
May not be possible... but I feel for an Igbo presidency, we just need to get a "good product" who's tested and trusted already so that the marketing won't be a problem... the candidate forms an alliance with other states of SE reaches out to SS and then onwards...

I have to return the favour na. At least let me be courteous. Bauchi is just there. A little on the slow and hostile side especially to foreigners and Christians. But we're making the most of it and progressing.
Hmmm...its well...but wonder if it is worth the risk...best wishes all same...

I guess we've been sold and enmeshed into the lie that National leadership is not for us.
That we're meant to play second fiddle.

It's confuzzling though.
Someone talked about Rochas becoming president the other day...

I noticed that without even stopping to think...
My first reaction before typing anything was..."IMPOSSIBILITY"

Why?
Why did I have that disposition?

It's certainly not because he's an Easterner.
I would rather see another GEJ emerge.
I guess I'm averse to the fact that he's in bed with strange fellows.
Truth is once the product is good, I believe it is up to him to form good alliance and he's good to go...

But the only reason why I would support a Rochas presidency is based on tribalism; a factor I wouldn't want to associate with, because it is all singing the music of division, biase and myopic sentiments...

But bring on Sullivan, or Peter Obi;etc these are already tested leaders who gave good account of themselves especially Peter Obi with his management and economic prowess amidst scarce resources and unlimited wants...

Inasmuch we advocate for Igbo presidency, it must be a good product who will give a good account of Igbo ingenuity in leadership...

have you ever been here to judge GEJ? You're being bias and you have not answered my question... Have a wonderful day....
Because I support Jonathan, I can not take the lead in his criticism...but whenever he makes any mistake; I rather not comment/talk than defend him blindly... That's the difference between supporters of Jonathan/PDP and Buhari/APC... the latter seem more of fanatics hence even in the midst of nothing, they still shamelessly talk...merry Sunday...

Yes.
Agreed.

We are not quite apt at looking up to a particular set of people and demigodizing them.
If and when we do, then they must be truly worth it.
For now, we do not have any of such we can claim as our own in Igbo land.
Ya...it all died with Ojukwu who didn't even command same respect he commanded culturally, and socially in the political arena... Because most voted for Obj as against him in 2003/7

A very balanced article if you ask me.
He started by messaging our ego and hitting where it hurts most!

But it's the truth.
Sure the truth he said but some issues as having a regional head cannot be feasible or possible even if we want it because of the independent minded nature of an Igbo folk...Ever heard the axiom; "Igbo enwe eze"...(Igbo doesn't have king)...holds true from ancient times till now...

ok I will ask you one question about buhari..... Do you think buhari is a president that is interested in becoming wealthy and powerful or somebody who is concerned about Nigeria as a whole?
Mind you I did not say buhari knows the Direction he is heading to! Please answer my question....
1)I am not a mind reader...neither can I vouche for any politician which buhari is one...the heart of man is full of evil and highly deceitful...

2)Leadership isn't all about good/positive intentions but good/positive actions...Of what use is your noble intention when you don't know how to actualize it...

3)It is about facts and not emotions... it's about truth and not sentiments...

4)I am here to judge his actions/inactions as president and NOT what he has in mind or his personality or his hidden intentions or his background or other such inanities as an individual...

Hope I answered your questionhuh

Just because caseless agreed that it's okay to help out and he would do anything for his woman so long she does not take advantage of it, Truckie labelled him a 'woman'

The highlighted is what is tearing up our societies today and funny enough most of them don't have the means to sustain themselves like their Western counterparts yet they want to bring that same attitude over here.

The moment I come across any feminist wannabe I simply walk away or date her just to teach her one or two things about guys like us that will bend and break you until you act like a woman.

I'm happy you agree it's no big deal for a man to help out even if it's once in a while.

I wouldn't use the word 'must', my outburst was to guys who are looking for already made ladies (independent in their words) but do not want to pay the price.

My argument was more of pleading and not insisting or commanding. Hence, my constant use of it's no big deal if men help around the house. And I also made it clear that no responsible or reasonable Lady would take advantage of it.

My pain is that most guys see it as a thing of shame to help around the house. seen a guy made it clear on this forum that he can't wash any plate used by a 'mere' lady. Some guys see ladies as a lesser being

I hope you can now see the bias and flaws in Truckie.
I can only tell you to see all chores as yours and go ahead doing same...believe me, the guy would be moved to help but if he doesn't...carry on with the chores...no big deal...

Many ladies will remain single because of their disposition to western doctrine in an African soil...

Truckpusher sent out your invitation card that you got a wife in cleverly...congrats man gringrin

No mind her jare.

They use words like your are never serious over anything, you're always indecisive ,you're not a gentle man, you're not romantic whenever they want to cage you and make you behave the way they want. grin
Seriously, they are champions of emotional blackmail
Forum GamesRe: Tag And Ask by Whynotthetruth(m): 10:08am On Jun 21, 2015
Truckpusher:
The answer is simple - You simply let these ladies have it at the back of their mind that you can walk out of this relationship or marriage anytime if you begin to get some attitude and they will behave but first point of call is to love them unconditionally and provide for them and cherish them.Poison their mind with love and watch them fight tooth and nail to keep the relationship going. grin

These women like good things and won't leave all that love and goodies just for some flimsy excuses after all if she leaves you the next guy might turn out to be a woman beater grin

Women are very manipulative and always one step ahead of every guy and I can say that they are smarter but you'll need to be in charge and stamp your authority even as the unconditional love flows like water from the fountain else you'll lose control .
Woe betides any man that has lost control to his woman.

I can't argue the fact that there are lots of wisdom in Truckie's comments. He's got his flaws as well.

As for me, I'm not challenging the position of a man in the house, hell no! it should be clear from my comments what my concern is all about and I really do not think that is asking for too much.
I saw you arguing why your man must help in the chores...which to me isn't bad...but such mindset is poisonous as it lays the foundation for a violent and chaotic household...
Because you already unconsciously set a target for the man which he must meet...once he fails ...you may start by frowning to other acts especially when he doesn't change...before you know it; the family is gone to the dogs...no peace...no happiness... nothing...when I saw some guys supporting you; I felt awkward as if something is wrong with me til truckpusher toed my line of reasoning...it then became clear to me what a time bomb you guys can be...(no offense plzzz)
