In a bid to explain why it was hard to institute a probe into the controversial audio tape from the Ekiti State, governorship election, President Goodluck Jonathan explained that the inability of Sagir Koli, the army Captain who leaked the Ekiti-rigging audiotape, to come forward and authenticate the tape, has made it difficult to proceed with the investigation.
Jonathan was quoted as saying that upon his inquiry from the head of the Department of State Security (DSS), whether an investigation was ongoing on the tape, he was told that investigation was stalled on grounds that Koli was not available to defend the content of the tape. Koli had fled after he got a hint of plans to arrest him by army hierarchy.

Jonathan said, “In fact, when this story came up, I asked the DG, Department of State Security Service if they had investigated the matter and they told me that they had instigated an investigation, and then called for the person who claimed he recorded it and that he disappeared and nobody can reach him,” Mr Jonathan said.
“There was no formal petition before them but because of the general interest, they wanted to have him interviewed to know where this was coming from. If someone comes up with a spurious allegation that has no substance and the person disappears, of course, what do you want me to do? Definitely, anytime we get him, he’ll have to substantiate his allegations.
There is a lot of false stories being circulated and it is very sad,” he added.
Jonathan however admitted that he has not even listened to the tape. Nonetheless, he said the meeting could have held.
But he expressed worry over the high tendency of deceit and manipulation through recording devices.
“I have not watched the video (it is an audio recording, not video). I said that it was a fabrication because, you see, people now, especially with the social media; we could be here and discuss issues and somebody will hack some of our voices and create a story that never happened.
“Therefore I am not saying that the meeting in question was held or not held but the issue of conspiring to rig, I said it was a fabrication,” he said.

Confirmation is vested in the hands of our representatives (Senators) based on two-thirds simple majority.
Even if he is a convicted criminal like Bode Geroge, he can still be confirmed, as long as he can get 2/3 of Senators to support his confirmation. Period.
This did not happen in the case of Obanikoro.
David Mark, the Senate President, SUBVERTED THE PROCESS of CONFIRMATION by asking Senators to vote on "bow and walk", otherwise known as "Waka-Pass" Confirmation!

David Mark did not ask Senators in support of confirmation to raise their hands.... so he can see if they are in the majority, to the point of two-thirds!
Instead of that, he said Obanikoro should just "take a bow"?
This is what angered the APC and other Senators in the house. (Subversion of the Process of conformation) and they walked out since David Mark will not listen to reason.
Can you Ever see such thing happening in the America Senate or British Parliament?

Our Judiciary is also under the influence and pressure of the Presidency otherwise, a court would simply rule that confirmation as ILLEGAL.

1)Sure-p employed people both as road maintenance support team; primary health care provider agents; etc

2)You-win for innovative youths provided thousands of entrepreneurs who subsequently provided jobs for others too...both direct and indirect jobs with their attendant multiplier effects...

3)Several private sector firms in the auto industry opened plants...hope you know people are working there...

4)Agricultural sector provided millions of jobs both direct and indirect...hope you know such companies like dangote in agric...olam into rice...etc employed Nigerians...All those new silos have agricultural products produced by your fellow youths stored in them and people are working in those sites and stores...

5)Transportation sector via road; water; railway etc are running now with thousands of Nigerians working there...

Numerous other agencies and ministries of federal government and private sector operators also employed and are still employing Nigerians...so my brother; instead of shifting blames to FG; kindly look inwards and see how you can improve your productive skills and become an employer yourself...don't sit lazily at home waiting for Jonathan to come to your house and drop letter of employment...
